"if you want to relax away from the city, this place is for you. we had a giant, tasty breakfast served to our needs (we're vegetarian) every morning and watched the hotel's dvds every evening. in between, we explored picturesque villages (just take a bike west or east) and mount merapi national park (sadly, i didn't see any signs of conservation but did see poachers snaring birds on the slopes of the volcano). if you have any room left in your stomach after breakfast, try the area's specialties: jadah tempe, selak, and the gado gado stand a few blocks north. and with the money you save by booking this room, consider making a donation to one of the wildlife rescue organizations in yogyakarta."

"I still consider it the best hotel in Kaliurang when compared to others. The room are big, I believe the rooms are designed for families. Kaliurang is no longer as cold as it used to be, fortunately room in this hotel has air conditioning. Its a little bit weird when I check in I asked for room in second floor, but they inform me all the room in the second floor is not available. But the hotel basically empty and later on I found out that they give room in second floor for other guess. My main concern is cleanliness and hygiene. They should pay attention more to it. When check in, I found hair on the cups and around the sink. Also in this pandemic, I don't think they have a protocol for disinfecting rooms. "
