Artistic style, cozy feeling, newly built, 10-mins walk to malioboro, right at the opposite of the famous Oseng Mercon Bu Narti, friendly staffs (front office only, other staffs never care to say greetings when meeting guests in the corridor), clean room, comfy bed, 100-120 size for singles, various breakfast choices (mini model of 4-stars hotel breakfast), but they charge 40 thousand for children above 6. A mix feeling of 4-stars hotel and home, really worth to come back... going anywhere at very cheap transportation around city by grab, becak, or transjogja bus, the city itself is quite clean if compared to jakarta, just miserably cannot find delicious street food like anywhere in bali, at least they dont match with my appetite...

I booked 3 rooms for my family 8-10 April 2017, room are spacious, nice and friendly staffs from parking attendant to management level, good breakfast as well and got free combination of indonesian traditional music gamelan and Piano. Thank you to Mr. AGUS AlFIAN ( manager front office), Icha, Helen, AVIAN ( breakfast team); that make my stay become memorable. Only downpoint was room 702 have ghost experience.

This hotel lies in the centre of Yogyakarta in the main tourist area. I could not fault it as there's a high standard of cleanliness and service with comfortable rooms and beds and two good restaurants which were very reasonably priced from the point of view of a foreign visitor. Breakfast was comprehensive with many different styles on offer and the hotel reception made arrangements for us, such as the free pick up for Ballet Ramayana. The laundry service was efficient. and there's a tour agency in the building which will arrange travel to Borobudur and Prambanan including hire of a car and driver for the day.

We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had were stale and they have no kolang kaling / palm fruit / atap seed. We didnt have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located within walking distance from malioboro street, but far enough so we were not stuck in traffic. Nearby the hotel, there is a gudeg place that is nice and cheap. We love our stays there and will come back again when we go to Yogyakarta

This hotel is not without its problems, but it was good enough to extend our stay and go back again. The room is spacious, with a big window, but it has only one chair. There is no safe in the room. The TV is a bit small by today's standards, but works alright, and has about 60 channels. The carpets and furniture has stains but otherwise both the room and bathroom are clean, although the taps are a bit dicey. The wireless internet connection is adequate to check emails, and do bookings, not fast enough for Skype. You need a password to connect, and the login process is a bit awkward. The signal strength was reasonable (in all the 5 rooms that I've tried) but occasionally drops out for a a second or two, and reconnects automatically. The service is excellent. The front desk staff speak adequate English to be helpful. On our return they did not have the booked double room and gave twin room instead for one night. In the double room that we got next day the aircon did not work, and they gave us another room, but after we moved it turned out that they have lost the key to this room and we had to move again. However, when I asked for a complimentary dinner for two (as a compensation for the inconvenience) it was granted without hesitation. Breakfast was included in the room price. The breakfast is buffet style with ample of food and ample of choices (4 fruit juices, dozens of different food, eggs cooked freshly in any style, tea and coffee, different breads, toaster, more than half a dozen of fruits). The hotel has a swimming pool, which is clean and hardly anyone uses it. It its quite pleasant place to relax. The location is hard to comment on, it depends on where do you want to be. Malioborough Street is of course the main drag (with all sorts of shops, ATMs, supermarket etc), the hotel is on its North end and the Palace is on the South end, within walking distance. My wife and I stayed 5 nights at Hotel Neo Malioboro and found the hotel staff especially the front office and restaurant staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just about 300m from the main shopping street Jalan Malioboro. Also just opposite the hotel there are a couple of travel agents. We found our driver there - Jony Ananta (mobile:+62 819-3170-3993). Jony speaks some English and is very friendly and helpful. Charges are very reasonable. The hotel offers an excellent spread of breakfast. We also had dinner at the hotel and found the food and service to be just great. Would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is quite new by the main road, value for money and the staff was so friendly. Our room was spacious and clean with a big bed and nice view to the city. This hotel is only good for family, couple or business who spends most of their time outside the hotel, but not an option for family with kids as they don't really have facility for young children or leisure. Very limited options for breakfast and the food wasn't great at all (really need improvement in this part). The hotel location is by the main road so pretty easy to find public transportation. Around 2-3 KM distance from the Hotel to Malioboro Road, so it's better to use public transportation if you wish to go there. Overall the hotel is good and I might go back to stay in this hotel again next time.

Nice room, though moist air which could be cleared if aircondition was installed in the room. Restaurant with nice food, though very pricey (as expected I guess..). Serves some of the best French fries I've ever eaten. Front desk staff was incompetent, dishonest and forgetful when we booked trips! Staff recommended trip to nearby waterfall and charged 500000 IDR for return trip to the waterfall - they just "forgot" to tell us about the local mafia charging road entrance fee of 20000 IDR, and on arrival to the village at the waterfall 100000 IDR for a mandatory guide to the waterfall! We paid the road fee but of course didn't want to say the 100000. Staff wouldn't refund the tour fee even though they said the 500000 was the complete price to go to and back from the waterfall! The jeep tour to Bromo sunrise viewpoint and accessing Bromo crater was 650000 IDR - but they "forgot" to inform us that the dropoff point was FAR from the viewpoint, and the same with dropoff point for Bromo crater! So all in all, the hotel was OK, but front desk staff performance was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

I'm so happy i have choose to stay 5 night at Pesonna Malioboro Yogyakarta, their staff provided an excellent services on housekeeping (excellent cleanliness), food & beverages(variety of choices for breakfast, good taste of lunch & dinner)...especially the front office - friendly, helpful. The strategic location also one of the attractive point for tourist. I want to specially thanks to the customer service who offer me a ride to airport when the driver i booked was not appear.

strategic location to stay in Yogya, close to the iconic Yogja monument / Tugu Jogja (about 50 m) and about 500 m from the rail station ( Stasiun Tugu) as well as close to the famous malioboro street. every Sunday morning there is a car free day with a variety of interesting events. For stay experience, the room is clean (except under the bed area), room amenities available (even hairdryer for superior room), but theres no safety box (event for deluxe room). I tried 2 types of rooms during the stay, and it is true that at night the sound of plumbing goes into the room if the guest uses the shower (either the room itself or the next room), as it is on the plane landing lane, I recommend not choosing a room on the high floor, choose a room on the 5th or 6th floor. Rooms near the elevators have large windows, compared to the east side rooms. swimming pool is available for children and adults, although there is no lifeguard sign, but there are always hotel officers in the area who are standby. pool clean and well maintained. For breakfast food is very diverse, it feels standard, need a little increase in the quality of food taste. The best experience in this hotel is the friendliness and alertness of the staff, from security, door man / woman, receptionist and restaurant staff always friendly, smiling and greets. Maintenance officers are also swift and quick to respond to plumbing sound complaints. value for the money for this hotel is quite worth it.

We booked the Ibis Styles based exclusively on price and location, but were very pleasantly surprised by many things! We booked a non-breakfast rate but the hotel included it as a bonus for us. We also arrived very early to the hotel based on our travel schedule and they were kind enough to check us in without any hassle (by early I mean 10am). The hotel has a clean, modern feel, with a casual restaurant on the main level, and a very cool rooftop lounge, bar and pool that has unobstructed 360 degree views of the whole city. The staff was courteous and attentive. HOtel location is great - close to Malioboro and the main attractions of central Jogja.

You just take a walk to the main street (Jl. Malioboro) after leaving the lobby. Easy to get convenience stores and ATM. No worry for food at night because you will find hundreds of foods along the Jl Malioboro. Staffs are very helpful. They will provide you a valet parking for free when the parking lot is full. Big room and clean. I will be back here later in my next visiting to Jogja.

Over the past year we have spent 3 months travelling throughout SE Asia and this hotel is my favorite of any place we have stayed. The hotel looks brand new. From the location, the facilities, cleanliness and the value for money, this hotel simply can't be beat! But if that isn't enough, the staff here are some of the most friendly, helpful we have met anywhere. We felt like we received the service one would expect from a 5 star resort. We felt like we were were part of the family. And thanks to some Javanese language lessons from the head chef, our entire trip will be one we will never forget! You simply won't find a better hotel for the money. In fact, I doubt you could find a better hotel for twice the money! I can't wait to come back some day.

Very pleasant stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ask them to direct you to the restaurant across the street, serving excellent Indonesian dishes. Rooms are clean and spacious. Plenty of delicious food choices served at the breakfast buffet. Walking distance to night market, post office and a good massage spa (also recommended by hotel staff). If you are going to stay in Yogyakarta city, this is the best choice.

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights at 101 was one of my best money ever spent. rooms are new and clean, staffs verfy helpfull eventhough for guess with cars there's very limited parking space (free valet service available). the view from hi-tea spot is great. my only regret for hi-tea was why there's only one complimentary session per room, when there should be 3 complimentary since i booked for 3 nights, or must i reserved in different names and days in a row? one thing may i suggest, the door closer in every room slams the door, it disturb my baby and everyone whose trying to sleep. the 101 hotels must find a way to keep that door closer closed firmly in silence. beside that, it's a perfect comparison between price and place. various meal for breakfast and half rate for kids breakfast, still cheaper compared to other hotels even with 3 stars hotel at malioboro. looking forward to come back next holiday season with my family...

Room was okay,place are convenence. Breakfast was average (you can’t expect a grand breakfast with 3 star hotel. Availability of table and chair for breakfast is limited. Hairdryer is not available in room,have to call reception and need to eait another 3 hour because it was lend to other guest. So please make sure you bring your own hair dryer if stay at this hotel. Overal,i give 7 of 10 for this hotel

It was a pleasant stay. We got a twin room that is spacious. Bathroom's pretty big too compared with other hotels. There were ants but I don't know if that cannot be helped in this area. There's a laundromat across the street which was very cheap. There's also a tour agency where you can get bookings for the next day. I found them cheaper than booking tours online.

My friends and I choose this hotel to stay for 2 nights for the following reasons: Location wise it is close to Malioboro where we can shop and dine anytime we want. Very near to tourist attractions. We book a Smart Twin Room, it is simple but it has everything we need, a comfortable bed, a shower and a space big enough for our luggages. We will be out the whole time during our stay, so I guess this is the best deal we got. Breakfast Buffet is good, there are quite a selection. For a 2 star hotel, I think Amaris is a good choice for budget travelers but with a good hotel experience. There is only one comment though, I hope they will use fabric conditioner with the towels, to smell good :)

I have travelled to many countries as a tourist and for business. I have stayed in many hotels but this is by far the best 4 stars hotel I have ever come across. The staff were very attentive, helpful and full of smiles and well mannered. Not just in the hotel, I found people in Jogja are very friendly too. The buffet breakfast has so much variety and very good quality. The hotel has old style Javaish design and yet looks very new. Their attention to details can be seen in through the hotel cleanliness and thier care for customers. Higly recommend this to anyone visiting Jogja.

Staying for couple days, The location with this price value is the main reason why i choose MG hotel. A couple minutes from Yogyakarta main tourist destination, Malioboro. The room are ordinary regular hotel room. This is a new hotel, Air Conditioner is functionally great cold as it should be, showering using hot water is relaxing after full day traveling, thou there should be a mirror in the toilet. Breakfast should be more creative, not Fried rice every single morning. In conclusion.. love this hotel, the moment. Would stay again if i had the chance. :)

We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was very clean and tidy and plenty of space for us 2. The air con worked really well. The hotel offered a good deal for a sunrise trip to Borobudur which went very smoothly and was a comfortable ride. The location was a short walk to the main Malioboro Rd where all the shops are and the mall. Bedhot Restaurant was also close by and had some delicious cheap meals. We didn't have the breakfast either of the mornings so can't comment on how good it is. We would stay here again.

Had a room at the 5th floor, with a terrace overlooking the skyline near the lift lobby. very quiet, not noisy at all. Excellent customer service. Room was bare minimum with attached toilet and shower, enough for me and my wife. No wardrobe,fridge, safe box in the room. Bottled mineral water is provided in the room. Surrounding the hotel are some of the best local food you can find. Right at the heart and beginning of Malioboro street. The hotel is adjacent to Malioboro Mall, where you can find the usual fast foods (didn't try it though, prefer to try local food). Wifi is very weak in the room, except for the lobby area. Breakfast was limited to a main meal and some side meals. (Indonesian cuisine only). We had our driver/guide. very knowledgeable, on time service, even at the crack of dawn, and he knows Yogyakarta very well. You can even have customize tour at affordable rates. Foods to try and recommended: 1) Nasi Gudeg 2) Nasi Rames 3) Terang Bulan (Apam Balik) 4) Sate Ayam (the ones sold by the Javanese Women at the square at the end of Malioboro street, towards Kraton) 5) Ayam Goreng Suharti Resto 6) Grilled Gurame at Kali Opak Resto, near Prambanan Temple

The hotel was very clean, maintained, and modern. It was very minimalist, but was comfortable and best value for your money. The staff was very nice and helpful. The free breakfast for guests and free wifi was a plus! I would highly recommend this hotel for those going to Jogja. The location is just a little far from the main areas (Malioboro, Sultan's Palace etc..) but was in a safe area. Just wish the music was turned down as I was on the first floor and can hear the music blasting and people talking in the lobby.

Stayed 2 nights. Staff were very friendly, got a free upgrade to a better room. Swimming pool and bar on the roof. Ideal location, just off the shopping street and next to the main tour booking street. Also short walk to the sultans palace. For me very important: the hotel was very clean! During the day we saw things being cleaned (table legs, skirting boards etc) which I'm sure most western hotels never clean. The only thing that could have been better is less noise. The best rooms are on the 6th floor, as is the pool, so from early in the morning the lift and the children made quite a lot of noise. Would definately book again though!

Great hotel with excellent range of breakfast (Indonesian and western). Location is perfect....it's 13 mins walking to Malioboro Street so you won't see and hear much noises at night. My young nephews didn't mind to walk that far. When they tired, we catched a becak for Rp 15k or Grab taxi for Rp 13k. The hotel is well guarded with friendly staff everywhere. Room is big enough and clean. During breakfast, I was glad that the management facilitated big group of guests separated from other guests so it wasn't crowded and chaotic when we had our breakfast. The hotel consists of 2 main buildings that's connected with stairs. The main obvious difference between the two are from the floor, one is with carpet floor and the other is without carpet floor. We stayed in the room without carpet floor. The room seems old, yet clean and big. The best part of this hotel is on its location, very nearby the famous Malioboro street. The staff also friendly and provide good service. Overall, it's a good and recommended hotel.
