Grand Bali Beach is a lovely place to stay. The largest (and tallest) hotel in Sanur - views from the tower rooms are lovely - the evening low tides over the reefs are beautiful. The hotel lobby bar has a great four piece band that plays most nights. Would definitely recommend the Bali Beach Burger and the pizzas by the pool. Sanur is very quiet but taxis to busier areas are very cheap - only 10000 rupiah more expensive if you use the hotel service (which is very convenient). Massage and water sport people working on the beach are lovely and give a great service - Wayan the reflexologist is fabulous, His sister Ita W (Massage No. 5) gives terrific manicures and her husband Katut is 'The Man' for jetskiing, fishing, snorkelling and trips on the Balinese outrigger canoes. I recommend learning a little Indonesian if you can - everyone really appreciates it. We had a terrific holiday and will definitely be back! Sanur is maybe not the best, perhaps, if you're after Exciting nightlife (such as nightclubs), but the peace is nice and Kuta is a quick taxi away...

we like almost everything about this place. location is very convenient, at the heart of sanur that has plenty of shopping & dining options around. the staff were extremely courteous. the room type that we had booked does not allow for extra bed which we needed for our mum, therefore they upgraded our room for free!! (we still have to pay for the extra bed, but the fact they bumped us up for free is really heartwarming). the room to which we got upgraded, is really spacious with walk-in wardrobe and spacious bathroom & bath tub. one downside is the wall between our room and next door seems to be made of thin gypsum board so at night we were able to join in the conversation of our neighbors. as our 9-month old son was with us and it was already past 11pm, a few bang on the walls sadly ended the short relationship we had with the newly found kind next door friends. we intentionally skipped breakfast at the hotel because we wanted to have local breakfast and thankfully there's a hidden gem not many would know- a warung nasi bali (balinese mixed rice) located just off sanur about 10 minutes drive from the hotel, which was recommended by our kind driver. the beach side view of the resort is quite relaxing, though we didnt have much time to swim on the beach or soak under the sun. sanur beach is famous for its calm waters, so we had nice morning & evening strolls by the beach. there are two pools in the resort, one by the beach side which looks older but with nicer view facing the beach; and another further inside which is nearer to our room and looks newer & nicer. local & international food are easily accessible outside this resort, and together with the so many small independent retail kiosks, these provide pleasant walk whether you are looking for shopping or not. a bit surprised to know that this resort is rated (or rated themselves) as three star. easily a four star for us- but our standards are probably lower than yours.

We've been travelling as a family with two toddlers (2.5 years and 1.5 years) and my parents, so booked two rooms. We booked last minute, the day we checked in, changing accommodation while on Bali. The welcome at Prama can't be faulted, someone took our luggage for us, wonderful greeting by staff, welcome drink, got upgraded to accommodate for neighboring rooms, everything perfect. We paid less than AUS 100 per room per night. Excellent value for money. During our stay however, I'd say it's a "Bali" 5 star hotel: You don't quite get what you expect, only almost. But this is complaining on a very high level. And we certainly got what we paid for - and more. Little hiccup: We booked and paid for a roll away bed in our room, but due to being upgraded to a club room with king sized bed, they said the roll away is not available there. We only found this out after the first night, no refund was offered, and we didn't ask for one either, since we've been given a free breakfast by the hotel, by mistake. Pro: Convenient services are available through the hotel, such as taxi service, free shuttle to Sanur shopping, doctor on call 24/7, kids play room, great kids pool, spa. If you're looking to relax, get others to do the work for you, get out of the hussle and still have everythng at your fingertips, then the Prama is for you. Some services are way overpriced though (taxi, laundry). But you do get the convenience of a private clean (!) beach and nobody trying to sell anything to you, unless you visit one of the nice little shops on site. We'll be back.

The Inna Sindhu Hotel is located on the beachfront at the northern end of Sanur. It is within easy walking distance to a wide variety of Restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops, markets and local shops. Hardys supermarket is also within walking distance and you will be able get whatever you need there. The Hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens and has a nice Pool area. Rooms at the Hotel include Standard, Deluxe, Bungalow or Junior Suites. The Deluxe rooms are a good size and the first floor Rooms have nice sized balconies. Rooms have aircon and flat screen TV's with a good range of cable channels. The only small downside in the room is that there only one power socket (bathroom) to charge phones etc. There is also a power socket on the balcony. If you require it, the staff will provide a Power board. The restaurant has great ocean views and serves a more than adequate buffet breakfast. This includes fruit, salads, egg station, pastries, toast and three or four Indonesian selections such as Noodles, Tofu, Rice, Tempeh, Soto Ayam or Rendang. (Changes daily) All the Hotel staff are very nice and helped to make the stay so good. Overall, the Inna Sindhu is fantastic value with a great Beachfront location! It should be considered if planning a stay in Sanur.

I booked Akana based on being nearby to a convention. This was my first time staying at this end of the Sanur strip & I throughly enjoyed the location. The Staff at Akana were very helpful, cheerful & professional. Thanks to Eleesa & all the team for making my stay very welcoming. My flight arrival was abnormally delayed - as well as a unusually longer Customs backlog. I would not of been surprised had the pre arranged Hotel transfer cancelled given the length of delay. However my Driver was waiting patiently in the arrivals hall - again thank you so much. I stayed in the ground floor pool access room & found it very comfortable, roomy, clean & functional including breakfast. I will definitely stay at Akana again because this is my favourite end of Sanur. Restaurants aplenty to choose from, a major grocery store chain less than 10 mins stroll away & several smaller vendors between. Beach access is easy & Akana have their own allocated sun lounges/umbrellas. 5 stars - thank you

We booked this hotel because we've heard it was a new hotel opened in August 2013. When we arrived after a flight the staff was very helpfull. Because the hotel just opened (trial) the value of the room was affordable. A lot of items weren't opened yet in the hotel. But for us it didn't matter, you can find anything in Sanur. We were probably the first in the room, pool etc. I think there were aprox. 20 people total in the hotel. I think this hotel will be even nicer if everything is finished. They were building the Bali bakery next to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who doesn't like big hotels and prefers new hotel architecture!!! Also for business people. Good wifi, large bathroom and nice furniture!!! And most important friendly staff!!! I'll return to Bali, and book it again!!!

Wow just wow..... Great location near to great bars, restaurants and the beach. Although if you don't fancy leaving the hotel you wouldn't be disappointed excellent food, great musicians, great staff but by far the best thing is the rooftop bar, restaurant and pool. Great views of the ocean, Sanur nice breeze to cool the heat of the day down but if thats not enough just jump in the pool and relax. The room was very good plenty of space, great bathroom and good balcony. I think It is a relatively new hotel and I'm sure it will gain in popularity and hopefully it will still be very well priced when this happens I can't think of anywhere else in Sanur that I would like to stay.

All in all this was one of our best hotel experiences...period. The staff of Kejora Suites are great. Very helpful and warm, they really made us feel welcome. The adjacent restaurant, The Glass House, is a great place to dine. In addition, this hotel is close to the beach and close to many shops, stores, boutiques, restaurants and cafes in the Sanur area of Bali. Moreover it is a reasonably priced taxi ride from many other areas of Bali (i.e. Kuta) worth visiting. Close to the city atmosphere yet very quite. You could sit poolside and look up at the stars, take a walk on the beach or enjoy the local nightlife. We could go on an on about the amenities, benefits and perks that come with staying at the Kejora Suites. Simply put...if you are staying in Bali, especially Sanur, stay at Kejora Suites as you will not be disappointed.

A great location, 5 min to the beach, lots of shops and places to eat right around the corner. " Hardys " just a 3 min walk. Lots of very healthy friendly cats live in the complex, so hopefully you like cats, we love them. Buy them a bag of catfood at Hardys and you will have your own little family of cats as long as you stay. Lovely friendly staff, good breakfast included, 3 nice clean swimming pools, table tennis, pool table, good aircon. We stayed in a superior room, compared it to a deluxe room not much difference . the gardens are very nice and well looked after. Tucked back off the main street so nice and quite. We will return here when we come back to Sanur

Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel is wonderful for families with kids looking for good value hotel. Walk straight out the door and you can wonder to the beach which has a great walkway along the beach with shaded areas whilst shopping, eating out along the water or watching the kids play in the sand or water(no major waves usually!)or like we did take your free shuttle or taxi from hotel $3 aud over to the lovely play area at the sister hotel 3 minutes away and the kids can go crazy on the water slide or play in the lovely garden area which is shaded and set up perfect for kids up to 12 years old but especially good for little ones up to 8years old. We just stayed a week ago with a 2 and 5 year old and they loved it. Our five year old all ok on the slide(its not too big but not too small either)and also not like they will get lost in the crowd like larger slide areas. Very easy to supervise them too!There is an undercover shaded area by the pool and if your little one can swim easy to monitor from there as can see all the pool and very close. Also back at your hotel they have a fab gym and classes included and great buffet breakfast. This hotel is popular with locals too. Sanur I feel is a great alternative to Kuta particularly with little kids with not being so crowded and busy and more shaded though the older ones may prefer the bigger waves and excitement of Kuta/Seminyak. Sanur has loads of shops, so easy to walk around with kids yet easy to get to Ubud/Kuta/Nusa Dua for days trips. Shuttle from hotel can you take you to the supermarket for all your supplies loads of supplies like milk etc for kids too or you can walk out the back door of the sister hotel and its 5 mins walk easy! All the staff were wonderful too had a can do attitude!

there was an initial glitch with the hotel not receiving notification of our booking trough agoda, which was made months in advance. that was sorted out over a weekend, just a few days before our departure to bali. we stayed for ten incredible days - loving every moment - so impressed with the hotel and with sanur itself - it is like a different island to kuta-legian-seminyak, where we have stayed in the past. we will definately go again and we will certainly highly recommend the hotel restaurant tip: caramels spa and restaurant in the main sanur shopping strip - beautiful terriake salmon with tempura vegetables..

we loved our stay here so much so that we wanted to extend our stay and cancel our other booking at a hotel in kuta. astana pengembak is located in sanur just off jalan ngurah rai by pass and jalan danau poso which is a continuation of jalan danau tamblingan(the main strip for hotels and eating joints in sanur). after being to bali many times and staying and visiting various locations throughout the island, we have come to conclude sanur is the best place to stay while holidaying in bali. the hotel bedrooms itself are built and furnished to a 5 star standard. we had our best nights of sleep here as it was quiet and the bedroom was very comfortable. our one bedroom suite even came with a furnished kitchen and cooking facilities. being on the ground floor, we had direct access from our bedroom to the swimming pool. the pool itself is more of a lap pool but it's big enough to accommodate many. the breakfast was a set breakfast choice between continental, american and indonesian menu. while some may find the breakfast a bit on the small side, it allowed us to enjoy other culinary on offer in bali without feeling stuffed from a normal buffet breakfast. on the negative side, one may find the hotel's location a bit secluded and far from the main action strip of jalan danau tamblingan or the beach. we didn't have a problem as we hired a car throughout our stay. however, given bali's relatively cheap taxi fare, this matter could be fixed easily. we will definitely return to astana pengembak for our next visit in 3 months’ time.

Grand Inna Bali is true to it's name. This Matron is spread over around forty hectares ( inclusive of golf course), along Sanur Beach There is the high rise: the Grand ( offering sea view rooms), then The Garden and the Resort with leisurely spread bungalows. There are few swimming pools, bars and restaurants to choose from. The Service is nice, swift and attentive. Sanur Beach with dozens more restaurants, is at your doorstep. Local shops, markets, cheep eateries, massage and beauty shops are 5 minutes walk away. We stayed at the Resort; in a comfy bungalow surrounded by pretty gardens. I spoke to many guests who have been staying here every year ( some have been coming here for 15+ years ). Breakfast is excellent, location is great, Service is top, value is unsurpassed. We stayed for a week and came back a week later ( after some islands exploring ) and we will stay here in future; this is a nice home away from home. Great area with fabolous plenty flower and tree, location were amazing, close to airport, denpasar down town, sindhu market, jazz and grill bar, also surrounding with great restaurant and bar along the beach with cheap price, hotel is front of the beach giva a plus, you can whach sunrise when enjoy breakfast, breakfast good to with many kind of american and continental menu, staff give their best to serving guest,very kind and profesional with smile, excellent service, we feel like we are a king and queen here, quite atmosphere and ambience give us comfort and want to stay here more and more, clean room with good facilities make it a place like a paradise, hotel has big swimming pool adult and children, beach also clean too, white sandy sanur beach very calm and safe given us a unforgetable memories, we definitely will return in nearly, hotel very recommended and we give 10 of 10 star for this hotel,thank you Inna Bali Beach Garden

I travelled with my father and booked the hotel at the last minute. Needing twin share they accomodated our request despite not having twin share rooms by adding an extra bed in our room for us. That was a lovely compromise. Also the breakfast buffet, we found were generous and varied every day. Best to catcha taxi from the main part of Sanur as we walked the 3km (plus more) trying to find the place. Nice to see the scenic route but best to do after dropping off your bags. Lovely restaurants on the beach and activities to involve yourself in. All of which are a 10minute or less walk. Not as crazy as the busier areas of Bali but still shopping and eating to be done, which makes this the perfect location for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Definitely recommend Ari putri as the hotel to stay. They have cable and mini fridge. Would suggest a kettle, for tea and coffee in the rooms, but the bar is just on the premises so no need. Loved it there Would definitely come back!

Bumi Ayu is amazing, I have zero complaints. Super friendly staff, lovely restaurant, awesome pool, nice rooms, just everything was great. Before we went there, we read reviews on it and there were some bad ones, but to be honest, the guests that would have written half the stuff they complained about must just be miserable people. Sure there's the occasional spot of mould in the shower, but it's a hot, damp place. I've worked in 5 star hotels with Mouldier showers than that! It's a close walk to the main road of Sanur which is full of amazing bars and restaurants and shopping. It takes hardly any time at all the walk to the beach, you can also just rent bikes and Vespas for super cheap. The reception was marvelous in booking tours and airport transfers for us. I'm planning on travelling back to Indonesia soon, and Im going out of my way to go to Sanur again just to stay at Bumi Ayu.

Nice rooms, but a bit on the small side. Quiet. Clean. Great staff. Wifi worked great everywhere! Wonderful breakfast and dining area. Started our trip here, and would have ended it here as well, but they were all booked up! Short walk to the beach. The beach is very nice compared to other beaches in Bali! The walkway with beachside cafes adds a wonderful ambiance to the whole area. Sanur is great!

Sanur is one of my favourite places in Bali and Mahalaksmi Boutique Hotel is good value. A couple of things. 1) It's not on the beach, which I knew and suited me anyway as it's in the heart of southern Sanur and a short walk to the beach and some great hangout restaurants. 2) There's no lift, so stairs are operative. The staff will carry your bags up and down for you. The restaurant is vegetarian, and is excellent. I eat meat, but am OK with decent vegetarian food. Definitely great value and I would stay again.

A lovely clean and very convenient place to stay in Sanur. Central to everything and a short walk to the beach. Value for money without the compromise. I recommend hiring a push bike on the beachfront (around 30,000rup for the day) and going for a cycle all the way along the esplanade, stopping at the warungs or cafes for a snack or a fresh green coconut and just take a dip in the ocean wherever you wish. And also so close to the airport around 30mins drive if travelling outside peak times...peak traffic is a nightmare around Kuta and Seminyak!!! We loved this little place set back off the main road so no traffic noise not that Sanur is that busy compared to other areas...beds were clean and comfortable, the room was maintained well and even had ALL the TV channels with cable TV included in the price. Adequate buffet breakfast, with eggs cooked to order. Walking distance to Hardys supermarket store where you will buy all your Bali tourist items at half the price and lots of good cafes and restaurants across the road and within 150 metre walk.

Nesa Sanur is in a perfect location, really close to restaurants, shops and short walk to the beach. Pool great for those who want some shade. If you are a sun worshipper there is limited opportunity to sun bake for extended periods beside the pool, only a couple of sun beds are in the sun for part of the day - this suited us though. You can get a bemo (local shared van) up and down the strip for 5000Rp (approx 50cAUD) which we used on the odd occasion in the heat of the day, but other options exist closer to the hotel within minutes walk. Restaurants highly recommended: White Orchid - main strip to the right 100m (although more expensive, but with entertainment/live music) Mona Lisa - main strip to the left 500m El Concodor - main strip 100m to the left, quite cheap and huge range (we ate here 4 times) To go to the best part of the beach - go to left on main strip approx 350m and go down lane way at Cafe Smorgas at the end turn left. Many restaurants and some stalls

Fantastic hotel,excellent atmoshere for the buffet brkfst after a walk along the beach,wonderful Balinese feel about the hotel and its lay-out,1 hr spa was absolute heaven,in the middle of Sanur for shopping both ends,1 hour free shuttle bus to anywhere in Sanur,Hardys supermarket only 5 minutes up the road,Staff are Magnificent and the pool is fantastic with sun on it most of the day or you can go to the Parigata Beach club,5 minutes along the beach (free to guests),pick-up a towel and lay on the sunloungers,will be staying here again next year as well,love it.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 separate nights. Good value basic hotel. Good sized rooms with tea and coffee making and free bottled water.Rooftop pool and small seating area. Basic but good breakfast included at the small cafe area next door. At the Sindhu Markets end of Sanur, close to all the restaurants. Little Bird Warung for good cheap indonesion food. Rendavous Restaurant a few minutes away was a stand out. Easy 10 -15 min stroll to Cassablanca Bar. Staff very friendly, a little inexperienced but very helpful and obliging. Overall I would recommend Svarna for a budget hotel stay.

We loved our stay at Fave Tohpati. Very hip & modern hotel, well-maintained, crisp clean rooms and super friendly staff. Internet is very fast compared to rest of Indonesia & Bali and the breakfast fresh & delicious. The only catch is that the hotel is located in Tohpati and not Sanur as in the Agoda site... a taxi to Sanur will cost you 47k IDR one way. For the rest : great hotel !

Our stay at the Mentari Sanur was very relaxing! It has a great pool. Rooms are Bali basic but clean. There is no tea or coffee in rooms so you can order through the restaurant - but with the 21 % Govt taxes - it is expensive. There are so many little places along the street and beach which are beautiful and cheap! This time around we bought a $6 electric jug and cups from Hardys and used those. But we would have to recommend Luhtu's - its a great walk along the beach of a morning for breakfast and you can get a massage there or stroll back towards the Hotel and have a great one at AYU spa - these people are the best - long relaxing massages very cheap.... For shopping you always have a million little shops to barter at or if you are over it and just want great stuff at a good fixed price you can't beat Tootsies!!! If you are in town around Hardys you can always get a fantastic meal at Swastika One accom & restaurant. The Mentari has awesome beds, hot showers and very friendly staff - the three most important things we look for in a hotel. The fourth of course would be price! There rates I see off the street are $105 a night including breakfast - if you're paying that you are getting ripped off. we paid just $38 a night through Agoda (no breakfast - far cheaper at the local diners). The beds I said were awesome - they are the size of 2 Aussie doubles joined together...wow. At this stage I should say that Sanur is an older persons place with a quieter night life than say Kuta and a much slower pace than Denpasar itself. Hope where ever you stay you have a great time in Bali.

Very short walk to the beach, where there are plenty of Warungs with local food, nice sandy beach, and beautiful sunrises (if you get up early!). Also short walk to the shops in Sanur. A good base to explore Sanur and further afield. Hotel was very clean, spacious rooms, large comfy bed, nice pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Building work started next door but it did not affect us at all. Overall a great little hotel in a good location and good value for money.
