Let me just say, This hotel deserve more than 5 stars review!! From the very beginning we were checked in with the guest relation (Lala) then waiting in the executive lounge and got a very warm welcome from Made (Executive Lounge Manager) and the rest of the executive lounge staff for example Indah, they were all went above and beyond their duty to showed a tremendously five stars hotel’s hospitality. Made our son’s first bday unforgetable and our stay in Indonesia very memorable. Thank you Vasa Hotel & the crews!! Keep the great work, definitely gonna recommend this hotel to the rest our acquaintance in US.

I stayed there for only 1 night. The hotel is still very new. The room still clean, everything still new and clean. It's a good place for you if you bring younger children since the kids could run all along the room (btw, I stayed in 2 BR). At first, I would like to order food from the room like any normal hotel. Unfortunately, there was still no room service facilities (they said they will have it later on). So they suggest me to go to the mall opposite of Ascott which is still very close. Later on that night, I just realized that my room air con is not working. So basically the room is not cold and I called the front office to fix it. And then the engineering come to our room and checked the air con. At the end, they can't fix the air con so we turn on the air con from the living room and open our master bedroom. It was cold actually but I just feel uncomfortable to sleep and open the bedroom door. Oh yes. In my room, we have washing + drying machine which is very helpful for us. Thank you very much for the washing machine since I could wash all my child's clothes and then I can dry it all up as well after washing. The kitchen utensils is very good. Good enough to prepare most simple cooking. The next morning, all of us go down and have breakfast. The food was quite good but the variety could be better I think for a 5 star hotel. However, we could enjoy having breakfast next to Waterplace apartment swimming pool which is quite good I think. What I love about this hotel: - Spacious bed rooms, spacious living room and spacious bathroom - The price is cheap compare to other hotel - Near to PTC shopping mall - They can access to waterplace swimming pool which is very big What I think they can improve: - They should offer me something to compensate the air con problem. - Parking area which could be a bit confusing - The room could be cleaner (maybe because it's still new so they still have dust on the floor)

surprisingly, this is a clean and reasonable budget hotel. the hotel is located in darmo permai area, a nice housing complex in suburb of surabaya. the location is close to several shopping centers. the hotel itself is also relatively close to darmo permai traditional market, which can be very crowded in the morning until around nooon and make the road towards the hotel slightly slow in traffic. it is not the issue in the afternoon when the market is closed. free breakfast is standard indonesian style, i.e. fried rice and its condiments with coffee or tea. overall, i would come back to this hotel again if i go to surabaya alone. did i mention about the free wi-fi?

I went here because the room price is very cheap, less than Rp 100,000/night, including breakfast, though its only fried rice with egg and bread with milk for two guest, but adequate for a basic business traveler who went early and back afternoon for rest only purpose. The area filled with bar and night club / disco and if you don't offended with such atmosphere, then find. But not really recommended for family with wife and children due to mentioned atmosphere. But the room is clean, the bathroom with shower and hot water, and they change every day linen and towels - so fine for business traveler just for sleep and rest. The TV is all local channels, but can be understandable since the room rate is cheap.
