This is the best hotel we ever stayed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and thoughtful. We request for a morning call as our daily tour start as early as 4:00AM local time and the front desk staff never failed to follow up with us about the our preferred breakfast so that they can get their chef to prepared for us to take out. The breakfast is a complimentary with the room we booked and yet the staff is thoughtful to prepared it for us. I think the manager really train their staff well to understand the true meaning of hospitality where even a 5 star hotel might able to provide this kind of heartfelt service. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfy. Daily room service to tidy up our room was given an excellent service as well. This is a worth staying hotel as a very reasonable price lets not mentioned their buffer breakfast where we manage to enjoy it on the last day of our vacation. Thank you so much Ayaartta Hotel Malioboro, you have make my trip memorable.

We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had were stale and they have no kolang kaling / palm fruit / atap seed. We didnt have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located within walking distance from malioboro street, but far enough so we were not stuck in traffic. Nearby the hotel, there is a gudeg place that is nice and cheap. We love our stays there and will come back again when we go to Yogyakarta

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Why I chose this hotel? It because many travellers from Indonesia and outside rated it as excellent hotel in Jogja. This hotel located about 10 - 15 minutes walking from Malioboro and Taman Pintar. Also located near the Bakpia Pathuk shops. I got my room upgraded to excecutive room (wooow) without any additional charge. The room is spacy, so we didn't feel in the small room. This hotel is have good breakfast quality. The service from front desk and staffs were good. I think the price is also cheap enough compared to waht we got here.

Nice room, though moist air which could be cleared if aircondition was installed in the room. Restaurant with nice food, though very pricey (as expected I guess..). Serves some of the best French fries I've ever eaten. Front desk staff was incompetent, dishonest and forgetful when we booked trips! Staff recommended trip to nearby waterfall and charged 500000 IDR for return trip to the waterfall - they just "forgot" to tell us about the local mafia charging road entrance fee of 20000 IDR, and on arrival to the village at the waterfall 100000 IDR for a mandatory guide to the waterfall! We paid the road fee but of course didn't want to say the 100000. Staff wouldn't refund the tour fee even though they said the 500000 was the complete price to go to and back from the waterfall! The jeep tour to Bromo sunrise viewpoint and accessing Bromo crater was 650000 IDR - but they "forgot" to inform us that the dropoff point was FAR from the viewpoint, and the same with dropoff point for Bromo crater! So all in all, the hotel was OK, but front desk staff performance was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

Enjoyed our stay, we booked for one night. The hotel was very clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is outstanding! We liked it so much that we booked for two extra nights. We have been travelling for 2 months straight now in asia m, but this has to be the best and most choice breakfast we have seen so far. They have almost everything! I would give this hotel the maximum score if they also had a gym. But thats personal.

We didn't spend most of our time in the hotel, however it was a good experience. Few notable items from my trip: 1. I booked 4 rooms with all twin beds, however when we arrived, they can only provide 1 room with twin beds, the others are not 2. Breakfast was the best! So many choices, mostly local food and some fresh juices. 3. Plenty parking spots (they have their own basement), and free parking for guests which is great

the hotel is near malioboro street, good atmosphere and comfort for relax. because on the center of city, so this hotel near from everywhere and can be reach by becak, taxi, or take a walk. i recommend this hotel good for shopping, sightseeing, culinary - especially "gudheg wijilan", "mie anglo" on jombor north ring road, and "bakpia pathuk" on ks. tubun street. everything is ok...good job!

Hotel is in a central location, walkable to the infamous Malioboro street. Convenience shops and the mall is just around the block. Relatively new hotel, so not much amenities as yet. Room i took didnt have a fridge, ants came within 6hrs of leaving consumed drink. Sound insulation needs an upgrade, sounds of doors slamming along the corridor were louder than the nearby railway and the moving trains. Staff were pleasant at best.

Over the past year we have spent 3 months travelling throughout SE Asia and this hotel is my favorite of any place we have stayed. The hotel looks brand new. From the location, the facilities, cleanliness and the value for money, this hotel simply can't be beat! But if that isn't enough, the staff here are some of the most friendly, helpful we have met anywhere. We felt like we received the service one would expect from a 5 star resort. We felt like we were were part of the family. And thanks to some Javanese language lessons from the head chef, our entire trip will be one we will never forget! You simply won't find a better hotel for the money. In fact, I doubt you could find a better hotel for twice the money! I can't wait to come back some day.

Really wonderful hotel, felt like a queen. Never felt so special before. The hotel breathes history. We had a nice, clean room, not outdated or anything (which some people seem to experience). We tried the hotel food, it was wonderful and could not resist and came back for more the following nights. Breakfast was great. Tried the laundry service which was perfect too. Turn in service every night and if you request, you get extra towels and bottles of mineral water. The hotel was 20, 25 min walk from the marlioboro street, but we did not mind as we got crazy there anyway ("taxi, taxi, batik, ransport", leave us alone!). You could of course get a cab which would take you there in just 5 min. The spa was also very nice as was the gym. I would not stay anywhere else in jogya, ever. I can recommend this hotel to anyone staying here. It is less than 30 min from the airport. You have a great feel for luxury there, amidst the craziness of yoghyakarta, which balance we like.

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights at 101 was one of my best money ever spent. rooms are new and clean, staffs verfy helpfull eventhough for guess with cars there's very limited parking space (free valet service available). the view from hi-tea spot is great. my only regret for hi-tea was why there's only one complimentary session per room, when there should be 3 complimentary since i booked for 3 nights, or must i reserved in different names and days in a row? one thing may i suggest, the door closer in every room slams the door, it disturb my baby and everyone whose trying to sleep. the 101 hotels must find a way to keep that door closer closed firmly in silence. beside that, it's a perfect comparison between price and place. various meal for breakfast and half rate for kids breakfast, still cheaper compared to other hotels even with 3 stars hotel at malioboro. looking forward to come back next holiday season with my family...

Room was okay,place are convenence. Breakfast was average (you can’t expect a grand breakfast with 3 star hotel. Availability of table and chair for breakfast is limited. Hairdryer is not available in room,have to call reception and need to eait another 3 hour because it was lend to other guest. So please make sure you bring your own hair dryer if stay at this hotel. Overal,i give 7 of 10 for this hotel

It was a pleasant stay. We got a twin room that is spacious. Bathroom's pretty big too compared with other hotels. There were ants but I don't know if that cannot be helped in this area. There's a laundromat across the street which was very cheap. There's also a tour agency where you can get bookings for the next day. I found them cheaper than booking tours online.

The location is great - walking distance to Trans Jogja bus stop (if you are planning to use this mode of transport which can bring you to Prambanan), Malioboro street, and Keraton. Also, there is a Catholic church about 5 mins walk from the hotel, a massage place opposite the hotel (good massage at reasonable price) and if you are intending to buy local snack 'bakpia', there is a good one near the hotel about 15 mins walk or take a trickshaw for IDR 10,000 (brand Bakpiaku). Cons: i don't see any good eateries around the hotel so it is better to have your lunch/dinner first somewhere else before returning to the hotel.

My friends and I choose this hotel to stay for 2 nights for the following reasons: Location wise it is close to Malioboro where we can shop and dine anytime we want. Very near to tourist attractions. We book a Smart Twin Room, it is simple but it has everything we need, a comfortable bed, a shower and a space big enough for our luggages. We will be out the whole time during our stay, so I guess this is the best deal we got. Breakfast Buffet is good, there are quite a selection. For a 2 star hotel, I think Amaris is a good choice for budget travelers but with a good hotel experience. There is only one comment though, I hope they will use fabric conditioner with the towels, to smell good :)

I have travelled to many countries as a tourist and for business. I have stayed in many hotels but this is by far the best 4 stars hotel I have ever come across. The staff were very attentive, helpful and full of smiles and well mannered. Not just in the hotel, I found people in Jogja are very friendly too. The buffet breakfast has so much variety and very good quality. The hotel has old style Javaish design and yet looks very new. Their attention to details can be seen in through the hotel cleanliness and thier care for customers. Higly recommend this to anyone visiting Jogja.

Pros: Close to the malls and easy accesss to the shops nearby Friendly staff If you want to buy cheap clothes, the store is next to this hotel. Can bargain and the price is cheaper than the ones sold at the Malioboro St. Cons: Quite a hidden place where the car cant go in and the supir can only drop you from far (not advisable to those with lots of bags. In the early morning, there were so many young teenagers hanging out in the balcony. I smiled at them and they just ignored it. Maybe they were not the staff but the reply was quite rude. The toilet door can't be closed because it was broken.

its quite near from jalan malioboro, walk 5minutes and you arrived. or you can took becak for 5k rupiah only to arrive in jalan malioboro. good budget hotel. its a clean room for me. will booked for another trip if i visit jogja with my friends. and tha staff is nice, cause reccomend us for so place worth to visit in jogja. and even the security in the front of hotel is super nice. he call for our online taxi to pickin up us. and also nasi pecel in front of the hotel in the morning is very nice and cheap, its only 10k rupiah.

Hotel is around 4 minute walking distance to Malioboro mall. The whole Malioboro area is a busy area crowded with people. There are a lot of peddlers selling souvenier in the whole street at night. You can also take Grab conveniently to other area. I was there on weekday so traffic was not bad. Heard traffic can be quite bad on weekends or peak holiday period in Malioboro area. In terms of food, hotel provides a very simple spread at just 40K IDR. Nearby there are quite a lot of food trucks as well if you dare to try. Across the hotel has the popular Gudeg (stir fry jackfruit brown stew) place and also bakpia (baked sweet pie). Overall good value for money.

the room and the shower room is clean. we can use the dining area for chit chat anytime. The location is great, only 25 meter from Tugu, one of the historical site in Jogjakarta. I loved the sound of church bells every morning about 5 am and 6 am. the church is located next to the hotel. There's also traditional market in front of the hotel, where we can find traditional foods and snacks like gudeg, jajan pasar, etc.

Stayed 2 nights. Staff were very friendly, got a free upgrade to a better room. Swimming pool and bar on the roof. Ideal location, just off the shopping street and next to the main tour booking street. Also short walk to the sultans palace. For me very important: the hotel was very clean! During the day we saw things being cleaned (table legs, skirting boards etc) which I'm sure most western hotels never clean. The only thing that could have been better is less noise. The best rooms are on the 6th floor, as is the pool, so from early in the morning the lift and the children made quite a lot of noise. Would definately book again though!

Great hotel with excellent range of breakfast (Indonesian and western). Location is perfect....it's 13 mins walking to Malioboro Street so you won't see and hear much noises at night. My young nephews didn't mind to walk that far. When they tired, we catched a becak for Rp 15k or Grab taxi for Rp 13k. The hotel is well guarded with friendly staff everywhere. Room is big enough and clean. During breakfast, I was glad that the management facilitated big group of guests separated from other guests so it wasn't crowded and chaotic when we had our breakfast. The hotel consists of 2 main buildings that's connected with stairs. The main obvious difference between the two are from the floor, one is with carpet floor and the other is without carpet floor. We stayed in the room without carpet floor. The room seems old, yet clean and big. The best part of this hotel is on its location, very nearby the famous Malioboro street. The staff also friendly and provide good service. Overall, it's a good and recommended hotel.
