The hotel is located at the foot of a hill, with the front desk on the second floor. The escalator outside only goes up, and the only way down is via stairs. There seems to be an elevator that connects to the underground station, but I only noticed it after checking out. I struggled to understand the building's layout in relation to outside access, and probably walked around unnecessarily in the blazing heat. I wish this explanation had been provided at the beginning. The room was clean and comfortable, but the hairdryer was an old type installed in the bathroom. I brought my own hairdryer, so I didn't use theirs, but this type often lacks power, so it was good that I had mine. I didn't notice where the refrigerator's power switch was, and it was only when the room got bright in the morning that I realized it. There seems to be a switch inside the refrigerator, which is confusing. I would have liked a note about this added on the note on the desk. When I dropped off my luggage before check-in, it was placed in my room when I returned. Dinner was provided, and there seems to be room service available as well. The prices looked reasonable and the food seemed delicious, so I would like to use it if I stay here again.

I stayed for two nights and three days to participate in an event at Kyoto Station. There is no parking available, so you must park at a nearby coin parking lot. Moreover, even the closest one is somewhat far, making it difficult on rainy days. In my case, since my check-in was late, I ended up at a coin parking lot about 1 km away. I recommend that those arriving by car check in early and drop off their luggage before going to park the car. For those traveling by train, Otsu Station is right in front, so you can get there conveniently without getting wet in the rain. The staff provided excellent service, and I was surprised that they also handled the breakfast area. It seemed almost fully booked, but I didn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms, and it was quiet. I comfortably spent my two nights and three days here. Thank you very much.

Due to the recent demand for inbound tourism, hotel prices have skyrocketed and it has become harder to make reservations, but this hotel is directly connected to the station and only two stops from Kyoto Station, so I think it would be a good option for travel to Kyoto. The female staff at the front desk was also pleasant. Thank you very much.

“Awesome location ”
Just 1-2station away from Kyoto, 2mins walk from the Otsu station and away from the hustle bustle of the city. Can't fault the location but follow Google map's direction properly or may ended up on the other side of the station. Old style hotel, not very impressive initially but sizeable for 2. After staying in other hotels in the city, good to have a bit more room... At least it's clean, have the required amenities and most importantly convenient with availability of convenience shops at the station and restaurants. The lady staff was super helpful but language was definitely a barrier. Though can't help us much but appreciate how hard she tried🙂 However there is just a super single bed and a Tatami in the room. So be prepared for 1 person to sleep in the tatami Will still come back🙂
