The strength point is drop baggage, staff is very kindly and polite . I stay 1 nignt and come back 1 night after 2 nights in Nikko, the big lugguest drop at the hotel only show booking very very helpful in this point. And location is easy to go shopping subway JR keisei close to everwhere which comfort in the big room compare to surround hotel. I will back in the next trip only on Sardonyx ueno. Thanks all hotel staff

Hotel is located a short walk from Okachimachi Station and is surrounded by plenty of food options. Spent 4 nights here and was very comfortable and enjoyed the convenience of its location. Breakfast is a choice of a bread and a drink, and soup if you dine in, and was enough as a light meal to start the day.

The Ultimate Hotel in Ueno”
Stayed at Hotel Sardonic Uno for 7 nights and had a great time. The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located. It is close to shopping areas and restaurants. Just a short walk from the hotel, there is a shopping building called TAKEYA, which is popular among Thai people. And just 30 meters away from the hotel, there is a market called Ameyoko, where you can find various shops and food stalls. The hotel is also close to convenience stores and eateries. The transportation to various places is very convenient, as it is near both JR Ueno Station and JR Okachimachi Station. However, JR Okachimachi Station is closer and I used it every day. The subway station on the Ginza Line is also not far from the hotel, making it easy to visit Asakusa. From the hotel, you can walk straight and turn left to reach the Ginza Line subway station, G16. It's only 3 stations away from Asakusa Station, G19. Coming from Haneda Airport is also convenient. Just take the Monorail from Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho Station, then transfer to JR at Hamamatsucho Station and get off at Okachimachi Station. From there, it's just a short walk across the street to the hotel. Going back to Narita Airport, you can walk to the Skyliner train station, which is about 300 meters to the left of the hotel, and take a direct train to Narita Airport. This hotel is very convenient and I will definitely stay here again when I visit Tokyo.

Easy access to everywhere and nice staff room”
It's easy to get anywhere around ueno and there night bars. Room is clean and news, staff is helpful. One thing that bothered me a little is the clock in the room is just.... Way too loud with its constant TikTok TikTok noise you just can't ignore. I ended up moved it into the toilet and shut the door to keep the room quiet at night.

Great comfortable group accommodation”
There is a Family Mart near the hotel. It's convenient to walk to Yakiniku Like and the Purple Building. The subway is right in front of the hotel. Turn right onto the gray/red line (easy to go to Disney). If you cross the street, you will find the Metro office where you can buy a 72-hour Metro pass. The housekeeper cleans and changes the bedding and towels every day.

Exceptional”
Classic compact style hotel with unbeaten position right in the middle of two train (plus metro) stations. Walkable distance to Asakusa, surrounded with plenty of food and night-life, shopping facilities. Only down side could be that the property is starting to show its age. While there are many new hotels around the same area with similar grading to provide.

Great location and simple breakfast is good”
Ueno is a good place to stay when in Tokyo, away from the Shinjulu, Shibuya etc crowd. This hotel is in a great location and there is never lack of food in Ueno. Their simple breakfast provided is good for the mornings, because you will not feel too full to enjoy the good food Japan has to offer. Amenities provided are enough for our extended stay. Room may be small but every thing is convenient. You can always book a larger room if needed. The bed and pillow are also great for good nights sleep. Will stay there again when we visit Tokyo.

Affordable and Great Location”
Hotel is near both Ueno and Ueno Okaimachi stations on both the JR network and subway, making it a good base in Ueno. The rooms can be spacious by Tokyo standards for the rates it is charging. Breakfast is quite basic but a nice light meal to start the day. The room is comparatively spacious for its price in Tokyo and comfortable. The staff were generally friendly as well.

The staff at Hotel Sardonyx is very helpful. The location is excellent as there are many eateries within walking distance and very close to Ameyoko Market. The JR station is nearby and going to Narita Airport via the Skyliner is very convenient.

Reasonable price, good enough location”
Convenient hotel, clean comfortable bed, rooms are small (but that's common here). Difficult to get up during the night (if you're the one against the wall) without waking the other person up as there is barely space to pass at the feet of the bed. Free breakfast is light (1 drink+1 food item), but you can pay for more if you'd like a bigger breakfast . But you can take it away and have a tea/coffee in your room since you have a kettle and fridge. Great yakiniku wagyu next door (booking needed) if you don't want to walk far. Storage of luggage for the rest of the day after checking out was no problem. Friendly staff . There was a ionising machine in the room, but I didn't try to use it . There is only 1 usb charging plug by the bed.

This my first time stay inpatient ueno actually I’ll stay at shinjuku area but I love ueno more this hotel is my best location 2 minute walk from ameyoko Takeya station . Very kind and polite of all staff I love everything of the hotel and absolutely will comeback again.

we stayed for 5 nights. the location is excellent - only a few minutes away from Ueno station so access is very easy/convenient. also a few minutes away from Ueno park and Ameyoko so lots of shops and restaurants/bars around. the room is quite small but typical in Tokyo. it was clean though and staff was quite helpful.
