The inside of the building is a bit complex and spacious.”
I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. Surprisingly, I couldn't hear the voices of other rooms even outside, so I felt very private. However, for elderly people, the hotel may be too large and they may get lost on the way to their room.
This is an "at-home" style inn.”
It takes about a 20-minute walk to get to the stone steps. There is a Super Famicom in the lobby that you can play with freely. We were with elementary school and kindergarten-aged children, but the employees were all elderly and had a friendly and homely atmosphere, and they treated the children kindly, so we were able to spend a comfortable time.
"Retroness and emotional appeal are the best."”
The staff at this inn were mostly elderly, but they possessed a warmth and kindness that is often lost in today's world. It was a wonderful place to experience a sense of nostalgia and enjoy the retro atmosphere. Although the location was quite far from the city center and not ideal for leisurely walks, it was the perfect place for a quiet and peaceful stay for two.
Free snacks and friendly service”
We checked in late at night, but the staff were very accommodating and extended the bath closing time for us. The complimentary light meal we received at check-in consisted of apple juice, yogurt, and pastries.
Great staff”
If you have zero Japanese, maybe you will have some difficulty in communicating. However the staff are very friendly and helpful. With the help of body language and Google translation, managed to get through the communication. It’s quite an old hotel with lots of elderly guests when we arrived. They served the dinner and breakfast quite unique. Location is not easily accessible but they provide transportation.
