Best Solo Traveler Hotel's in Surabaya”
I was stayed in room 518 and 212 previously. The hotel location is right at the middle heart of Surabaya, close to train station and shopping malls! The staff were so friendly! I only remembered Ayu as her iconic white hair represent the Hotel's mascot it seems. The other two guys, I totally forgotten their name (one with eyeglasses and the other not) took care during my stay in Neo. I even left my luggage for 2 days as I went for Bromo Trip. I stayed in Neo Room. They have TV, WiFi, Coffee and Tea Maker, some bathroom amenities. I also tried their Menu in Bed with a super affordable prices! And it taste really good! They have a water dispenser in every floor so we can refill the water jug provided in the room. The shower has a hot water running and that's a good reason why I choose this hotel instead of another one. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in Neo and will be back if I visit Surabaya next time!

I like almost everything about Neo Gubeng. Location, the friendly staffs, the cleanliness too was good in my opinion. Room for improvement in the breakfast part though. For the price paid I really think guest should have at least much more varieties. Taste of food was also quite bland. Overall it's been a nice stay there.

Very cheap hotel to stay, friendly staffs and helpful, nice room and very close to Tunjungan Plaza the most famous Mall in Surabaya. Many types of food provided, however some of the machines were not ready in the morning such as the coffee maker, some visitors tried to use it but there was no notification that it could not work. The staff in restaurant were not very helpful, no smile at all. When the juice dipenser could not work the waiter just ask for help from her coworker without saying anything to me. Be more polite and informative to the costumer would be better. I was not notified as well that the dispenser could work at the end If only I did not try again because the waiter did not say anything. I cannot expect more from the price I paid. It was just recently opened. The staff are friendly, the lobby is attractive, the room is clean, and the rate is very affordable. I really like the cafe inside the hotel, yummy food and GREAT coffee...This hotel also has a small grocery market, where you can buy beverages and snacks. It is a walking distance to local restaurants and shops. I will definitely stay here when visiting Surabaya!

I stayed here for 2 nights. Pros • Situated near Gubeng station (ideal for those who will travel to Yogyakarta via train) • Rooms are well-maintained • Buffet breakfast is delicious 👍🏼👍🏼 • Hospitable staff Cons • You can hear other people laughing or talking along the corridor. The hotel should advise guests to refrain talking as other guests might be still sleeping in the morning. • There was a “deposit fee” which was not declared on Agoda

It's close to the Gubeng train station, actually you can walk but Becak is a great alternative if you have heavy bag. This hotel is suitable for solo traveler as they have nano room which accommodate one person. The room was clean, the staffs were friendly.

Better than before”
Back to stay at this hotel after managed by Aston and rebranded as Neo Hotel, and feel there has been a lot of positive changes. Pros: - Centrally located - Near local restaurants and cafes - Easy to get public transport - Valuable price - Friendly and helpful staff - Efficient check in & check out process - Quiet and comfortable bed - Strong shower with good temperature - Medium led tv with international channels - Free internet wifi in the room with good connection - 24 hrs coffee shop and room services. Cons: - Room was not too clean, some hairs on bed linen - Must ask help from the operator (0) to order room services, because no one answered when I called 100 at 1st & 2nd night. - Many foods on the room service menu were sold out. - When I made a room service order, I was handled by internship staff. She has no capability to explain the menu when I asked.

Hotel for layover in Surabaya”
Great hotel for the price in Surabaya which is quite expensive for Indonesia (and not at all a city I would recommend besides using it as a layover en route to Bromo or elsewhere. Staff were very friendly but seemed quite clueless. Booked a second night in order to take care of everything I needed to before leaving and they were not able to process either of my two credit cards. It was then a pain to go back to my room to use my computer and book online as they had already deactivated my key card (even though it was only 11h30am). Once in my room doing the booking, I am told that I will have to bring all my stuff down to the reception while waiting for the agoda confirmation which was an unpleasant surprise. After, even though I got the confirmation very quickly to show them, the staff were still insisting I had to leave the room as they had not gotten the email. Finally I spoke to a manager on the phone who allowed me back in my room!!! Altogheter took a good hour to make a second nights booking! Have to say though that staff were friendly and polite throughout. Definitely mostly inexperience and some communication problems. Hotel is very quiet as it is on a side street. That being said: forget about sleeping in as reception starts making calls at 10am to ensure timely check out (even though check out is at 12) to everyone and rooms are not well isolated. Having arrived at the hotel at 3am from a late flight, I was not very happy with that...

Modern and new hotel with compact rooms”
The hotel is modern and new, quite near the center (about 1-2km to Monimen Kapal Selam and the new city center, and about Rp35,000 by taxi to the old town). There are always taxis waiting outside the hotel. The room is quite small but clean, and offers all the basic necessities. The buffet breakfast is nice. Very good value overall.

Awesome budget hotel for business travelers”
It was awesome stay. The lobby and room furnishing were beautiful, located in the heart of city for activities, very clean room and comfortable bed. There's a small cafe located inside the hotel that have a great selections of tasty food and drinks. There's also a convenience store inside the hotel with regular price like outside stores. Highly recommended and definitely will stay here again! Super great value with excellent amenities and services!
