Convenient and affordable for solo travelers or couples”
While some business hotels may have a non-smoking policy and appear clean, there are still some that have unpleasant odors and the lingering smell of cigarettes. However, this hotel was very clean and had air purifiers in the rooms, so there were no bad smells at all. Additionally, there is a convenience store just a minute's walk away, and within walking distance there are delicious bakeries, Thai restaurants, Italian restaurants, and Japanese restaurants. The room was also equipped with a microwave, making it very comfortable. We stayed for several nights and had enough towels, which we left in the hallway in the morning and picked up a fresh set of towels from the front desk ourselves. Overall, it was a very pleasant and hassle-free trip to Kyoto.
Above and beyond my expectation”
This hotel is super! Above and beyond my expectation for the price I paid. I got a one bedroom: full bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, bathrobe, nice slippers. The washroom is spotless. The bed is very comfortable. Very close to public transit and attractions. On the street of lots of restaurants. The highlight is: there's a full size supermarket only 200 meters away, where you can get any grocery you need, including lot's of choices Saki wine, deli, snacks, Japanese specials ....etc. I strongly recommend it to visitors to Kyoto.
Very affordable and surprisingly decent”
I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Kyoto. The location was perfect, just a short distance from Nijo Castle and surrounded by convenient amenities. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, with housekeeping doing an excellent job. The facilities were top-notch, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, although there were a few minor hiccups. The value for money was exceptional, making it a great choice for budget-conscious travelers. The only downside was the lack of a scenic view. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great value, convenient location, cleanliness, and excellent facilities.
Budget Nice Hotel but not too far from the station”
I stayed two nights at this hotel. Although I do not have much experience, I think it is very cheap compared to another hotel that I got from the search results. The hotel is located near a convenience store, a bus station, and not too far from the train station. Besides, the facilities inside were also very comfortable. For example, I had a room with a TV, a refrigerator, etc. I can also wash my clothes at the public washing machine at 1F with 300¥/30min. In summary, there are not so many things to complain about. It was a nice place to stay, in my opinion.
Normal business hotel”
It’s a business hotel. They’re a little more than love hotels but they are definitely clean and functional. Kyoto does charge a city tax per person per night of between 200 and 1000yen, I had to pay 1000 for one person one night here. This is collected by the front desk even if all other taxes and fees are prepaid. Although I stayed at another hotel in Kyoto the next night who took less tax from me so it pays to know which places charge what if you can...for the location of this one was near Nijo station. the second hotel was right by Kyoto station and offered free breakfast with a very friendly staff. Not that this place was bad but I’d choose a different hotel next time.
