This is my second time staying at Al Moggar, it is situated right off the promenade and is less than a 10 minute walk to the marina. The hotel has professional staff at the reception 24/7 to aid you with a quick and easy check in. The lobby area alone is very cosy and the interior is well designed with some traditional designs on the ceiling and coving. The rooms are spacious, clean, private and have nice beds which are very comfortable. Breakfast is fairly basic and felt underwhelming and not on par with other 4 star hotels, not much variety for hot foods, bakery items were nothing special either, though their was plenty of seating inside and outside. Both pools areas are very clean and are routinely serviced, deck chairs allow good access to the sun if you want to catch a tan or have umbrellas if you don’t. Ideal for the price you can’t complain at all, a resort styled hotel which is more than affordable and situated in there heart of the marina area.
Only positive is location (closeness to beach and marina) otherwise very basic: no kettle or tea making facility, no peg hook in bathroom to hang clothes, their mention of private beach gives false impression as there is a busy road and a wide promenade between hotel and the beach area designated to the hotel (no privacy), cleaners often forgot to leave toiletries, foul smell in the room (prob from guttering). Will not recommend.
Lots of positives, very helpful staff, printed out our boarding passes! Mixed weather but we went in March so no criticism of that. Pool areas big & roomy, reception area big, outdoor areas very clean & tidy. I felt the breakfast was not great. There was choice but semi raw omelette on the 2nd day wasn’t great. I had seen a review saying the rooms were tatty & I have to agree. They were dated, bathroom a little grubby & the fridge door had to be lifted to shut it! I would say it’s a 3* personally. It was reasonable for the price.
Nice hotel with two very clean swimming pools in central location and great buffet breakfast and dinner. Staff is very nice and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very basic and lacking a little 'love' in decor' and preparation. Could do with an upgrade and refurb and a thorough scrub. Getting extra towels and a pillow proved impossible. Evening entertainment was less than amateur and we had a great laugh. Overall, a great stay!

I recently stayed, and unfortunately, my experience was a mixed bag. From the outside, the hotel looked impressive and grand, with its size being a notable feature. However, upon entering, it became apparent that the interior is in dire need of an update. The rooms lacked even the most basic amenities, such as a kettle, which was a disappointment. The breakfast service was also subpar. Whilst the staff seemed friendly enough, they appeared more interested in helping themselves to food than attending to the needs of guests. It was not uncommon to see staff members queuing up to eat or even filling their bags with food, which was unprofessional and off-putting. On a more positive note, the cleaner and security guards were exceptionally pleasant and courteous, providing a warm welcome and assistance whenever needed. Furthermore, the hotel's noise levels were a significant issue during my stay. Music played until midnight, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. To make matters worse, our room was located adjacent to the breakfast area, generating considerable noise and disturbance. It's worth noting that the hotel apparently hosts parties on weekends, which can make sleeping challenging for guests. Overall, whilst the hotel has some redeeming qualities, such as its friendly cleaner and security staff, the numerous drawbacks and annoyances made my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.
