Short but memorable stay in Yogya”
Services were great, all staff were nice and very helpful. Check in and check out process were quick without any trouble. Hotel is clean and neat. Location also good. Near tugu station, malioboro, kraton and many other tourist spot. We slept so well in our room. Even our 1 year old son who usually wake up several times in the middle of the night, slept so tight throughout the night. The only minus was the housekeeping staff didn't wash our used cup. They only threw away the remaining coffee and reorganize it to its place.

during my stay, all the staff were very helpful. we stay with our kids, which are under 5yo. They don't mind giving us a hot water each night to make a bottle of milk to our kids. Then, the restaurant staff also helpful while we having breakfast. breakfast: quite okay lah. maybe we were staying during ramadhan, so they make the food once for Sahur and breakfast, and for breakfast the food no longer warm but still okay and edible. The best breakfast was provided on Sunday, my last stay at Horison. It was awesome and delicious. Room: the staff also help us to change our room from twin bed to double bed, because our kid roll over to the floor during sleep. We got a better room, with larger and smart TV (previously the TV did not work at all) and a bit quite room. The prev room facing the train station, so it was very noisy because of the noise from train station almost every hour reach the room and I cannot sleep well at night. But then, we got another room which is the opposite side of prev room and it was better and quieter. Awesome. The friendliness of the staff were awesome. Great lah.

I was satisfied with the building, fascilities of the hotel. Yet, I was a little bit disappointed with the hotel staff. I mentioned on my order form that i will come with my family, 3 adult and 1 child, but then the staff only provide us a twin room.

We book 3 rooms with breakfast and stayed for 3 nights. - Not value for money because with the price we paid, we can get a better experience elsewhere. - Breakfast was VERY DISAPPOINTING. I can only eat Egg and toast. Fried rice was hard to chew. Pasta was undercook and stiff. Porridge has no taste. Everything was cold, even the soup was cold. Food has no local variety. I bought nasi pecel for Bf the next day, because the 1st day was so traumatic to have Bf there... And that pecel saved my day, because we had to wait 45minutes for the Bf to be served. The second day they didn't serve buffet, because of the low capacity of the hotel. - I had no complain about the room. It was not a new hotel, but the room still acceptable. Clean enough. - one advantage for me was.. the hotel was in minimum capacity when i stayed there. only 1-2 other family stayed there. The pool was empty all the time. - Location not too near to malioboro as i expected.

This hotel ruin my Vacation.”
i stayed at this hotel from 1 April to 5 April, 5 days. The first day i got checked in i got a room with broken air conditioner, then i found water on the floor at the corner of the room. They said it a leak from the window, because of the rain. A technician came to our room and try to fixed it and it took almost half an hour, so we had to wait until i call the receptionist and asked to change the room. Then they change our room at the same floor, we hope we dont have any major problem anymore that would ruin our vacation. The next thay at the afternoor when we came back to the hotel, we found all the power plug broken. We couldn't turn on the tv also we couldn't able to charge our phone. Then we contact the receptionist again and got a technician to come and fix the problem. And AGAIN, it took more than an hour to fix, because they had to unpack many furniture to find where the cause of the problem. At the same time, we also need to meet our friend outside but end up forced them to wait for us. Since i already lose my time so much and also had to make my friend wait for me, i call AGAIN and AGAIN the receptionist to change our room, since i didn't know when the problem will solve. The receptionist said, we have another smokin room (since i requested smoking room) at the second floor, they also said, that the room on the second floor was the last smoking room available. So i have to move from 6th floor to the second floor. i instantly reject that room, because i feel my room quality was declining. From the room at the highest floor with Merapi mountain view to a room with neigbourhood's rooftop view, so worse! I call the Receptionist AGAIN... AND AGAIN... AND AGAIN! Asking for a better room in the high floor. and You know what?!... they actually had another smoking room at the 6th floor but they didn't tell me.
