Nice, comfortable Room”
Stayed for 3 nights to explore Lake District. It is easily accessible and conveniently situated with restaurants and shops with walking distant. There is even a living for the guests to rest and relax or to mingle around. The room is tidy, clean and nicely decorated, equipped with all the necessary. There are a few choices of breakfast to suit everyone. However, on-site parking is quite limited. We need to park by the roadside one of the night as we returned late to the accommodation. Overall, it is a nice place to stay for holidays in Lake District. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely lovely stay in a fantastic location”
The Holly Lodge was a lovely guesthouse. It was incredibly clean and in a very central but quiet location in Windermere. Unfortunately we had to leave early but we were provided with take away breakfast bags which were fantastic. I would highly recommend the Lodge and will be back soon.

Walking distance to Windermere train station. Very nice full English breakfast. We stayed at room no. 7, family of 4. The place is very quiet and the owner is welcoming. Thanks Holly Lodge. Highly recommended.

Very clean, fan provided which was needed due to the hottest night of the year. Bed was a bit too soft. Breakfast was good but small. Would stay again as good value for money

Would have been nice to have been offered help to take our luggage up three flights of stairs, and room next door left their bathroom fan rattling all night😡 Those are the only negatives- it was a lovely spotlessly clean place, in great location, lovely quality hreakfast

Hood location nice clean room”
We were unaware we booked the smallest room., whilst it was a very nice room it was a bit small for us as my husband is tall, so a double bed and low loft ceilings wasn't suitable. Bigger rooms are available so make sure you've booked the right room. Breakfast was lovely

I was travelling from Manchester north to the Lake District with no specific place to stay other than likely in Keswick. When I discovered the road was shut down due to the flooding I decided at the last minute to stay in Windermere. Discovering Holly Lodge on an app, I booked a wonderful clean room close to town with a car park. It also provided breakfast which was scrumptious. The proprietor was helpful and friendly and the B&B is located right around the corner from a market and a wine shop and tons of restaurants. All of this for a price that was more than reasonable. I'd happily stay here again.

Both Bonnie and Ian (guesthouse owners/couple) greeted me promptly at my indicated arrival time, and even assisted me in bringing my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. They were extremely friendly, and offered suggestions on how I should plan my time (seeing it was my first time visiting the Lake District)! The guesthouse is just a 5 mins walk from Windermere Rail Station/Bus Interchange, so extremely convenient for any first-time travelers taking a train down from London Euston or any other national railway stations. My room looked EXACTLY the same as depicted in the photos - extremely neat and clean! The heaters were also working well :) Each guest is given ~4 options for the next morning's breakfast, and I would say the breakfast exceeded my expectations - very sumptuous English Breakfast, with a spread of fruits, yoghurt, cereal, bread, juices, and coffee/tea to go with. Amazing stay, and I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to all others! :)

A beautiful house, with a nicely shaped holly bush in the front garden. The room was nicely styled and had a view. A great location to shops, restaurants and attractions like lake Windermere.

Excellent guest house with a big breakfast. If the house is full there might be no hot water in the morning as it is used up for showering. The location is very convienent in Windermere.

Right in the center of Windermere and just take less than 10 mins to walk from the train station. Breakfast is very nice & delicious
