Extreme kindness and sense of hospitality are sometimes quality which you won't really expect in hostel, but we did found both at Hilik Boutique Hostel. Rooms are small, but quite. Breakfast is good and served with a smile.

Like a convenient store”
Checking in at Hilik is a surprise, I've never experienced living in a 24/7 like environment, the Hostel is open 24/7 for those coming in late or leaving early. Well its good because with some fellow travelers who comes from different time zones, this one is perfect. The check in desk is always manned by attentive and well appointed staff. They even throw in free breakfast which is a bonus for travelers. It's very popular with guests from Israel as well as Asians and some from the EU. Overall, there's no regret staying at this Hostel.

Beds were Good. Among the best I had so far”
Good. It was a bit costly though, at around 12 usd. I already did few backpackings already across asia , and I also got good Bed and linens for a price of around 5 usd . But Manila is quite an overpriced city in the first place, so I guess Hilik Hostel is already a good choice for backpackers going there.

Stayed multiple times over the years”
this is my favourite hostel in Manila. I have stayed 4 or 5 times over the years and also recommend to others. the dorms are great, with curtains on the bed and lockers for your stuff. High quality pillows and mattresses too. Living room and kitchen area is small and simple compared to other hostels in Asia but by Philippines standards(which are generally lower), this is really good. It is very difficult to give a good value for money rating on any accomodation in Philippines as it is generally over priced compared to the rest of Asia but I can say this is satisfactory value based on the silly prices of PH. Staff are lovely.

Superb stay!”
Very nice and relaxing....The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The hostel as a whole was very clean, the restrooms come with hot and cold showers (fresh towels everyday are free), the lobby is always clean, quiet, and relaxing. There is free fast Wi-Fi Internet in the rooms and in the lobby. Hostel provides good size lockers free of charge. Free continental breakfast is a plus. The hostel is in a great location in Makati, near to shopping malls and restaurants. I will stay here again and recommend to everybody.

Great Start to our Philippine Adventure!”
We had a great stay at Hilik. The best part was the staff, especially the Manager Joy. She was extremely helpful and assisted us in planning our entire 3 week holiday ( as we had nothing organised) They are located in a good area in Makati, close to a night market and lots of restaurants. Definitely recommend Hilik!

The only problem i encounter was finding the location when i arrived. There's no signage and i wander around and ask some locals if they know where hilik was located but they dont even know that hostel is existing. Then finally the last person i asked was one of the staff. But my overall stay was great.

Good Location, Staff and Room”
Hilik is easy to find, and nearby from Ayala. Staff is really nice, and i ate my first Balut in this place, haha. What a great experiences to enjoy Manila. I'll be back again soon.

Sleeping in a Music Club ”
Location is direkt in makati, far from Manila Center . Direkt in The Front is a nice Night market with Great and Cheap Food. The only Problem is that they Play Music every Night Till 3 am , so we didnt sleep in The Night because it was so Loud . room was clean and staff very helpful (Tour to lake Tal is amazing !) I m sorry but we can not recomment that Hostel because of The Loud Musik !

Good Stay. Great Location.”
Great location. There are malls and restaurants everywhere around the hotel. Taxis are easy to get around the hotel. The hostel is nice and relaxing. The staff looks bored and annoyed at being bothered, but are alright. The bathrooms are clean, and the breakfast is alright.

Exceptional”
staff should tell other guest to respect other guest by keeping the noise down, there was some guest who talk so loud to each other and on the phone that I could hear them all the way from my room, other than that staff were friendly and welcoming, free drinks and free small breakfast, shower and toilets were ok, the 10 bed dorm was standard, locker were available but you need your own padlock. location was very convenient but beware of pickpocketing kids who pose as beggars, room was good for the price, I would recommend if you are on a budget, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again

I've had a private room. Small hostel. Clean, safe, right in the night life and restaurants area. Internet connection good. I didn't eat breakfast but it was included. Small entrance between Subway restaurant and a japanese restaurant. Nice public place in front to meet and eat with local peoples.

Value for money”
It's located in one of the safe area in manila. You can walk to Ayala park within 10 mins. It's surround with convenint store, supermarket, local food shop and fast food restaurant like mcdonald, wendy, jollibee all within 5 mins walking distance. The hotel has free wifi that can use in bedroom, free breakfast, free computer to use. The staffs are really nice to me. When I ask for direction, they explained it all, wrote a map and gave me their phone number in case I need help. And I think that's the best thing of this hotel.

Great Dorm type in Makati”
I always book here every time I am in Makati for some personal and business errands. Location is a +++ . and there are a lot of restaurants nearby, both cheap and classy. There is also SM Savemore Grocery across the building.

It was ok for us”
Our stayed in this hostel was ok. Pity that we dont have enough time to sleep here because our flight was in the middel of the night. The hostel was ok for us. In the near future we will come back again if they keep the place clean and presentable as well.

cheap room, clean, friendly staff, noisy though”
Me and my three year old son had a nice stay here. Although the market across the road has live music which we could hear loud and clear in oud room. Which made sleeping a bit of an undertaking. Normally I would wear earpluggs but my three year old cant. Offcourse a hostel is not the first choice for kids so I cant blame them for that. The staff is super friendly and very informative. A definate good place to strike down upon arrival in Manila.

Very good location as it is centrally located in Makati City. The staff were nice and very accommodating. Very good value for your money. It is however difficult to hire taxi in the area. The traffic is very frustrating along Makati Avenue especially during peak hours.
