Great location, good choice!! 👍🏻 ”
Great location just off the Royal Mile with a popular brunch place just across. Friendly staff and the best firm mattress I’ve ever found in a hostel! Kitchen available downstairs and pool table. Little terrace at the back yard. The only downside: very low heating.

Best for younger travellers ”
It was a comfortable stay but personally I think I prefer my own room. But if you are used to hostels then this one is very good.

Good for guests if they want to socialize with others”
Good location (near Royal Mile). Perfect for those who wanna socialize with guests from all over the world. There is a public kitchen for cooking and I often see people making pizza and pasta. Nice! The common area allows guests to socialize, play board games, cheeses, watch television, etc. Atmosphere is friendly. Free luggage storage service is provided. The room is a bit smelly though.

Affordable, but low quality”
Me and a friend stayed for one night in order to go to our early morning tour. The Good ▪️Directly next to the tour building ▪️Affordable ▪️Close to many food places ▪️Staff were friendly The Bad ▪️They put us on the 7th floor and there is no elevator, so it was hell carrying luggage. ▪️The facilities are old ▪️It was freezing cold for most of the night, so I had to wear my coat ▪️“Mattress” was 2 pieces of foam ▪️Bedding smelled used and was covered in another person's hair. I spent the night thinking of bed bugs. ▪️Difficult to shower and dress in the bathroom, impossible to do with my disability luckily I had a private room.

Awful place! Kitchen is always dirty. There is an Italian guy working at night and his attitude is horrible.

Nice Hostel Near in Royal Mile!”
1. Location is perfect! Just 3-5 min walk from Royal Mile. So close to all the Main Tourist Attractions. All 15-20 min walk in Calton Hill, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat, a lot more. 2. Common Toilets & Showers (Boys & Girls) were always clean and well-maintained. Hot Showers were all functioning well. 3. Have Complimentary (FREE) Coffee, Tea and Hot Choco in the Kitchen. 4. Can cook & bake. Just make sure you label your food (with your Name, Room and Date of Departure) so, nobody can take or throw your food. Kitchen is big. Have complete utensils, pans, plates, cups. Just clean everything after cooking! 5. Have an amazing lounge at ground floor. A lot of people hang-out every day & night. They allowed the guest to bring their own food & drinks! 6. Have strong WiFi access! in all areas. 7. Beds were comfortable. Have own bedside safes, lockers two power sockets and light bulb. Rooms are big so, no need to worry if someone is taking your space. 8. 15-20 min walk to Edinburgh Waverley Train Station and St. James Shopping Mall (for Bus Station) and 30-minute drive to Edinburgh Airport via Bus (located near in Edinburgh Waverley Train Station). 9. Laundry is cheap (GBP 3.50). You gave your laundry in the afternoon; in the evening they will return to you. You can also rent a towel for only 20 pence. Iron for clothes is available too at the common areas. 10. Have continental breakfast. Have to pay around GBP 2 (not bad). Comes with bread, cheese, coffee, fruit, juice and cereals. A lot of Free activities for guests. Pub Crawl, Beer Pong, etc. The only CON is that you can only stay here Maximum 2 weeks or 14 days and you are NOT allowed to return aga

Probably the best hostel”
I stayed there for three nights and it was a decent experience. Even though I was staying in a 10-people dorm but it's not a crowded room. That means you have a lot of space. The room is tidy and neat, so as to the shared toilet and shower room. The staff at reception was friendly and they kept an eye on who's entering the hostel. A card is given upon arrival and you have to show it every time when going inside. The hostel itself is conveniently located and it's just a walking distance to nearly all attractions in Edinburgh.

Best hostel ever with friendly staff”
Staff are friendly and helpful. They are willing to share with us the attractions nearby. Also, it is an unforgettable experience for staying in a historic building in Edinburgh. Also, it is very cheap and the location is very good that it is near to most attractions. The kitchen is very large that it was not crowded even when there are many people in it. Also, they provide us free coffee, tea and chocolate and necessary cooking equipment. I have met so many nice travellers and we all had a good time here. The common area is nice and cozy that allowed us to chat happily. They also hold different activities to gather travellers making this living experience a memorable one. It is probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed!
