“Review of a family trip.”
From the early morning of December 9th to the evening of the 11th, I stayed with a total of four people including my in-laws and husband in two deluxe sea view rooms. My father-in-law had previously visited here in March for a family gathering and was satisfied, so he recommended this place for our family trip. The location is great, with the Pink Tower (White Tower) visible from the pool. Within a 10-minute walk from the hotel, there’s Lotte Mart Gold Coast, Chon Chon Kim, and Pizza 4 Piece. Right next to it is Costa Seafood. To the left of the hotel, within 10 minutes, you can find the Pink Tower, night market, and Vincom Plaza 2. Everything seems to be about a 25-minute walk away. The Dam Market is a 20-minute walk. There is a private beach access in the basement, but it rained throughout our stay so we couldn't go. My father-in-law who visited in March mentioned there were private sunbeds on the beach, which were nice. The pool is on the 5th floor, with a sauna that has both dry and wet options, along with lockers, and there are also fitness and massage shops. The breakfast restaurant on the 3rd floor requires a keycard to enter, and the breakfast is quite similar every day with limited options, but since there are many Korean guests, there are a few types of kimchi and seaweed soup. There are many Chinese guests too, so it seems there are food options for them as well. The elevators are quite fast, but only the fastest of the six lights up, which can be frustrating at first. The basic deluxe room is 40m2 and larger than the basic rooms of the nearby InterContinental and Sheraton, based on my Agoda search. There’s one socket next to the bed, but two around the vanity and one for USB. The hygiene is good and the large space allows for separate areas to unpack luggage. All the staff are friendly, especially the cleaning staff who are very kind. If I had to mention a downside, the pool depth is said to be 1.4m, and as someone who is quite short, when my feet touch the bottom, the water is up to my chin, so I had to tiptoe holding onto the wall. It would have been better if it were about 10cm shallower. The water is cold, but on a hot day over 33 degrees, it would be perfect for a long stay. When I went, it rained heavily, and since it wasn't hot, it felt cold after a while. Also, the wall next to the bathtub in the bathroom is beside the bed and glass, with beige blinds. Even though I was with my husband, a slight silhouette was visible when using the bathroom, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. It would be better if the blinds were a darker color. Other than these two points, I was very satisfied, and I plan to stay here again and recommend it to others. I wrote a lot, but it means that I have a 100% willingness to revisit. Oh, I encountered one team of Chinese guests on my floor, and it felt nice that the hotel seemed to separate Chinese and Korean guests by floors. The Sky Light Bar above was quiet, possibly because there were no guests since it was raining, and the construction next to the hotel seemed to have paused, making it quiet too.
