I have been to many places, but staying at this homestay is the best experience I have ever had. From the moment I booked, Ms. Nguyet was very attentive and caring. What impressed me the most were the lovely people working at the homestay. They always had a smile on their faces, which made me feel very positive. The room had a view of both the river and the mountains, and the sound of boats passing by every day made it both peaceful and lively. Considering the services and the room view, the price I paid was very reasonable. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back here. I definitelly recommend staying at the Funny Monkeys homestay! The girls were very communicative, already before our arrival. They picked us up from the bus station, arranged for our bus when we were leaving Phong Nha and also drove us there. Amazing! The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The food they offer on the menu was great, banana pancakes are a must for breakfast. We also rented a motorbike from them, they helped us orgabize our tours around the area and lent us their kayak, so we could enjoy the views from the river. All together it was an amazing experience, which added to why this area is, in our opinion, one of the best in Vietnam. If you are travelling to Phong Nha, Funny Monkeys is the place to be :)

first of all Linh (the host) was amazing! super friendly, and communicative and helpful! she really did everything she could to make sure we get the best out of our time in Phong Nha. Location was very good with breathtaking views! and you can take bicycles freely to go around the area! the rooms are very big with nice view and a lot of space, however the shower was a bit disappointing as there were little hot water (not enough for 2 people to take showers 1 after the other) and the water flow was a bit small aswell. for the price (which was a bit higher than other places around at the time we were traveling) I would expect for the shower to be a bit better. other than that the place was perfect! I would definitely recommend anyone to go there, both for the views, the big rooms and the great company of the homestay staff :)

Really enjoyed our stay here even though the weather wasn't that great. The room was enormous and really clean with a great view over the river. There was a balcony/courtyard right outside with a hammock and seats great for relaxing. It is a little further down from the main street for restaurants which seemed to be the only reason why it should be so quiet. However we ate in the homestay restaurant for breakfast and dinner and were never disappointed. We booked a tour and a bus with them and both were great. Also took bicycles from them which were a little old and uncomfortable but was a nice way to see the area. The staff were all really lovely but we fell in love with a girl named Phuong who was so lovely and helpful even before we arrived messaging us. Would really love to stay here again, highly recommend!

Awesome location & rooms are very good size, which all have access to a great balcony deck area with river & mountain views. Linh was very enthusiastic & helpful in accommodating our needs including tours and transport. Hotel staff were always cheerful. We tried multiple restaurants in town and funny monkey's restaurant was actually the best food we had.
