The Griya Villas and Spa

"Stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 4 in a 2 bed villa. What a beautiful stay. Arrived at 4am and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast is fantastic- individually prepared, attention to detail and great service either to your room or by the poolside. Then there's the restaurant- the best food you'll have in Amed by far! Live music too. Above all its the staff who make the stay so incredible. Also appreciated the shuttle service up to our villa! And a fruit bowl on arrival. We will be back very soon. Thank you"

Tradisi Beach Front Villas
Amed,Amed - View on map
"It was our first time, visiting Amed. We booked the beach front villa at Tradisi. It was a great choice. Looking straight out over the water from our room, watching the fishing boats come and go. Very quiet and peaceful. Great spot to view the sunset behind Mt Agung and also the sunrise across the water. The staff were all lovely. Kare also gave my husband some cold fresh aloe Vera for his sunburn. Restaurant is simple but adequate. We particularly enjoyed the vegetable omelette for breakfast and the Special fried rice (Nasi goreng). Tv was only Indonesian channels but, that didn’t worry us. The only thing I would have liked would have been a jug for boiling water, as I like to make my own coffee. I would definitely return to this hotel"

Santai Hotel
Amed,Amed - View on map
"Overall my partner and I were so excited when we first pulled into the driveway at The Santai. It is such a pretty spot and its so very relaxing. We had a bungalow right on the beach and the views were just heavenly. The room was better then what we expected. The room had great airconditioning and was very roomy indeed. The resturant was just fantastic and the chef...... Wow what can we say - food was just amazing for a 3 star hotel. They had entertainment and they were lovely people. There english isn't as good as where we normally stay in Seminyak, but who cares, you get by. Amed is a very quite little spot and I think we were the only Aussies there as most are from Europe as they love to go hiking and also go diving. Our purpose of going to Amed was for my partner to go diving and I wanted to have complete relaxtion after a busy year and it certianly did the trick. The only annoying think was the dam flys and mozzies - take lost of spray. Its not too bad through. Happy Holidays AC"

The BBQ Guest House

"no need to think twice. By far the nicest place in the area. quiet and clean. staff cleans rooms diligently. Breakfast included with the room is sublime. Hosts and staff showed great hospitality and its all honest and sincere. cheap bike rental delivered quick and i will also say competitive price for airport transfers as well. One drawback for my stay was the a/c for the room we were in (didn't know about the other one) wasn't working perfectly. it just seems to blow normal air instead of cool air. but we kept trying with the remote for few hours each day and actually managed to get it nice and cool every night throughout our stay. Not sure if it anybody else will do as we did haha. we will not hesitate to come back nonetheless if amed is on the list again."

Aquaterrace Amed
Amed,Amed - View on map
"Coming to Amed and Aquaterrace was the best decision ever! I cannot express how wonderful this was. It was a tiring 3 hour ride to Amed, but it was worth it. We arrived late, Made, the humble B&B owner, came running out to greet me, appearing very relieved that I made it to Amed without trouble. We were exhausted but the view was spectacular and we punctuated our trip with dinner at their restaurant. The restaurant (like the rooms) overlook the beautiful sea with uninterrupted vastness. Amed is a quiet town built on a small close knit community of locals. Aquaterrace is run by one of them, Made, and his Japanese wife. Located right at the top of one of the hills, Aquaterrace gets a very nice elevated view of the ocean. It's also located a little further away from the busiest parts of Amed (which is hardly that busy). Which makes it quiet. Their fusion of Japanese and Balinese cuisine is a real hit with the few tourists in the area. We were staying on the lower floor, in front of the pool. So our balcony led out to the pool and the view of the ocean. The room was huge and spacious, with a beautifully decorated bathroom. The room is equipped with a hairdryer, Sensatia soap and shampoo and fresh clean towels. They also had a small mosquito coil holder though we didn't need it. Aquaterrace is impeccably run! They have a few staff, who run the kitchen and the spa which is just above the kitchen. These guys run like clockwork. Excellent service standards and special mention to their head, Ketut (or so I believe his name to be). They work as a very tight knit family, so you definitely feel very well taken care of. The staff were incredibly helpful in hooking us up with snorkelling gear, and the snorkelling point is a two minute walk down to the beach. One can simply just walk straight into the water, and be mesmerized by the amazing marine life that lives just below the surface. Best stay in Bali! I'm already planning my next trip back! "
