Great place to stay. However do not stay on the rooms facing street... It is busy all through the night, and loud... And can be heard in the room... Sounds like a race track. After 2:30am you get quite rest. Get a room on the ' inside' of the building facing the pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is clean, comfortable, and Beautifully decorated. I would return and stay again, absolutely; in an ' inside' room.

Room price reasonable if you book through pogoda great savings. If you walk in and get a room double the price. Clean nice staff. They reek of professionalism. I would highly recommend this hotel

Enjoyable stay”
I have been at Grand Hotel for 18 days now. The staff is very friendly and always tries to accommodate you to make yoy stay the best possible. All the desk attendants are always very pleasant. One thing i do wish is the Grand Hotel website had some kind of rewards program for booking so many stays you get some kind of rewards. Other than that i think this hotel is a great hotel to stay at and highly recommend which i have enjoyed my time here very much.

The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a king suite. Very spacious. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Pool was very nice with private gazebo cubes! There is a bar /restaurant we did not get to try but looked like fun!

Escape your problems and relax here”
If you want to escape whatever you got going on she’ll book a room at the grand Hotel and you have a nice sleep and a nice day the room is very nice they do need to fix the Wi-Fi service interrupted my movies do not damage any towels and linen is best to bring your own towel or sheet because you will get charge they will take your deposit that’s my only thing I don’t like I was not told about that because normally when you go to hotel you take a bath get in the pool the kids get dirty you wash your face sometimes be on a slow there’s no broom a mop in the room you gotta use a towel to pick it up that’s what you do it any hotel you don’t turn around in the back about the linenIf you get a stain on any of the linen they will take your deposit of $100 after they do a roll check before you check out so please please when I take you days use your own towel do not put a stain on the towels sheets pillows or blankets you will get charged and it will take a deposit I didn’t add anything else with a stay follow rules and you’ll have a great day and again bring your own towel and rag please for you and your kids don’t get caught slipping in Loose your deposit don’t say I want you

Very Accommodating Hotel”
My wife and i were on vacation staying here when I was in a motorcycle accident and ended up spending a month in a local hospital before i was well enough to travel back home to the boston. During our stay and during this whole ordeal when i was injured everyone at the hotel was great to myself and my wife. They allowed her to keep our stuff in the room Untill i was out of the clear and my wife was able to get back there to get our stuff. During our month down there she stayed at this hotel a couple more times when she needed a break from the hospital. They were always very concerned about how i was doing and always made her feel like this was her home while we were there. We even met some people who were doing some upgrades to the hotel and became very good friends of my wife and I. We actually still keep in touch today

A Motel pretending to be a 3* Star Hotel”
My visit to Florida was to attend a family funeral, and the Hotel location was suggested by a family member. During my 7 days stay I slept in 3 different rooms for the following reasons :- Phone did not work, fridge frozen -up, TV (non-cable) not working, water on bathroom floor after shower. To had insult to injury, in what was clearly a stressful situation, on Sunday 12th the room was not cleaned. eg. beds not made, bins not emptied, bathroom not cleaned. and floors not mopped.. Having stayed at numerous hotels in USA, I know and have experience 3 Star Standards. and associated Services... The Standards in the rooms at the Fort Lauderdale Grand..is definitely below par, due to old, broken and outdated furnishings which a lick of paint cannot remedy. Finally, I would like to be compensated , for the discomfort and distress I was forced to endure. given the reason for travelling to Fort Lauderdale.

Hotel is having renovations to add to already beautiful grounds.. Pool is set in the center and you feel like your on an island the moment your on the grounds... Housekeeping needs recognition on its its own. Friendly and always looking for ways to make your stay better . Front desk personnel could use more personality but nothing I'd complain about. All and all great value for your money also to add this is listed as LGBT friendly and I wanted to reassure LGBT community and blended families rest assure that I can happily say they are truly is in every way possible!

The hotel actually responded to my review and looking up on the site they are correct but they don't tell you about the $100 deposit most places just require your card number but they actually take the money up front.. and I was trying to be nice but since they decided to respond the worst thing about this place are the drugs.. not only will you see other guests smoking marijuana out of their rooms but you will get knocks on your door 'hey man you want to buy some weed you want to buy this I got this'. I really didn't intend to put that out there but since they decided to respond I might as well put it all out there the hotel itself isn't really a bad place but what really made me angry was being woke up all time tonight with someone knocking at my door asking me to buy some damn drugs

The Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel charges $28.00 + tax = $31.64 hotel service fee per night, it is a mandatory fee, and it is non-refundable. The hotel service fee includes Fast Internet (WIFI), Pool, Direct TV / Cable / Streaming Service, Lobby Computer Center, Administrative Printing Service, Housekeeping Room Service, Complimentary Coffee from 7 AM to 9 AM, Overnight Security. 24-hour Front Desk and Package Handling. Additionally, there is a hotel parking fee of $5.00 + tax = $5.65. Finally, is the $100 refundable security deposit in case of any damage to the room or the linen. It is refunded back to the credit or debit card that you used to make the payment of the room & tax at the end of the day when you check out prior an inspection of the housekeeping department. Depending strictly on your bank it could take 5 to 10 business or less to be effective in your account.

Felt like a typically under staffed tropical resort but in America. No other complaints, waterfalls and rainforest around the courtyard pool made the experience whole. The rooms were typical budget hotel too and that's not a bad thing. This hotel is also known as the Universal Palms hotel and conference centre.
