Exceed expectation”
When I searched for a "backpacker" hotel during my short visit to East Java last week, what I got is obviously more than what I expected. Room is quite clean, hotel facilities are the same as what were advertised (air conditioned room, wifi, hotel amenities, breakfast, cable tv, even hot water showers, yes, who need hot water showers in Surabaya by the way :D). The staffs were nice and helpful. Already recommend this place for my families if they're planning to visit Surabaya. Just a small note for anyone who are planning to stay here, if you ride a car, don't follow google maps if it directs you to enter the hotel through Pucang Anom Street. The alley is too narrow. Enter the hotel from Kertajaya Street, turn left just exactly right before Bank Ganesha (Gubeng Kertajaya X).

Best guest house ever”
I like this guest house very much, it feels like home. All staff are friendly. There are tea, coffee, Milo in the lobby which you can take as much as you like anytime you want (for free !) . Breakfast is limited choice between Indonesian instant noodle or toast breads. But it is OK for the price I paid. I will always come back to this guest house if I go to Surabaya.

Great flashpacker hotel: clean,comfy, great value”
This hotel is really a little gem. For a price which just fitted into our flashpacker budget we had an exceptionnally clean & comfortable room by Indonesian standards. The AC & Wifi worked very well, and the staff were exceptionally attentive providing excellent service. The only point to be aware of is that the staff do not really speak English (they understand some) so cannot provide much tourism help (although they had a brochure to recommend a driver that we used who was great - Andrew)& you need to get your phrasebook ready! We were very lucky to meet Nani, a member of the family who welcomed us in fluent English & showed us around, showed us places to eat in the neighbourhood & gave us lots of tourism ideas. We would definitely go back there again if we return to Surabaya - a real find.

a bit far from city centre but taxi only costs 2 or 3 usd from guest house to plaza tanjungan (biggest shopping centre in surabaya). Staffs are very happy to help and provide information. Free coffee and tea 24/24.

Clean & quiet hotel, good location”
We stayed just 1 night in this hotel as an overnight stop en-route to East Java tour (Bromo, Semeru & Ijen). It was a little difficult to find the hotel since it was nestled in a nice residential area not too far from the city. It is good value for money although it will be easier if you are able to communicate in Indonesian since the staff there speaks mainly Indonesian. There are nearby warungs where you can get Indonesian food. Would recommend this hotel as a place to explore Surabaya before moving on to other places.

Budget hotel with good facilty”
Stay at the hotel for two days when arrive in surabaya, choose the hotel becouse it location near the centre of town, there a convenient store just around the corner for the supply you need. Hotel service is adequote for a budget hotel. Hotel facilty is clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast selection is limited. recommend for traveller for like to be near the city.

Comfortable Guest House”
My Family stays for one night to attend my brother wedding, the location are easy to find. The staff are welcoming so nice. But the most thing my family love are the surrounding are so quiet and comfort so we can rests after the wedding and ready for journey back to Madiun City. The breakfasts are not much choice, only fried rice with scrambled egg, and toast bread, but it's fair enough compared to the price. The staff are friendly and welcoming so nice. Next time if we need place to stay, we will definitely back to this guest house. Nice

Clean, great location, but no bathtub”
i love the place and definitely will stay there again and recommend it to friends. it runs like a hotel but with better service. it's located in quite and lovely "kampung" but not far from the main road and it's great place to experience day-to-day surabaya lifestyle. it nears 24 hours alfamart which is very handy to get bottle of beers whenever. no mosque around so don't worry about it waking at 4.30 in the morning. it's very multicultural place of surabaya. the against i may say, my room has no window! and adding bathtub will be lovely.

we only stay for 1 night for transit from bali to medan. we just had bali trip as backpacker and stay in budget hotels in bali, then took travel (car) to surabaya and surprisingly this hotel is very confortable and clean. We love staying here. With our budget, staying in this hotel is a final gift after those budget hotel experiences in bali. i recomande this hotel for bussinese traveller also

good location if u come from Gubeng train station”
If u arrive Surabaya from Gubeng train station, This GH is one of choices. Not far from Train staion, about 10 min. by taxi , you will arrive this GH. Staff is nice and can help you for recommendation.Disadventage is it far from heart of Surabaya city, you can't walk to heart of city.The GH is situated in town alley , no restaurant near it but you can find the convenient store for many applilance. may be difficult to find something to eat at night , only i found is local food sell by local people . it's nice place to stay for waiting for your flight or your train to go on your trip.

Nice + Cheap + Good Location”
it's a nice place in the middle of residential area but very near to city center, rather new, and more importantly well lit (i've been to some other place that is dark and gives me creep). the service is in general good as well. wifi is good. breakfast is a simple (as i recall there are only fried rice and instant noodle with egg with standard coffee/ tea ... simple but effective) cons: the mattress could be better. it looks like it's been there for sometime that it forms rather concave surface when lied upon, rather than firmly support my back.

Nice guest house”
The main road to the guest house was closed when I stayed here for 2 days. Thus we had to use another road, but it was not a problem for me. They have limited breakfast option; toast and Indonesian dish, but it was good enough for me.
