Great value and worth coming back”
For its price, it’s a steal. Their welcome drinks is definitely the best for its value. The staff were all friendly too. We had to leave our staff cos we got there early and they happily took them. The wifi inside our room was weak, especially for remote jobs, but the wifi at lobby was good and you could sit there comfortably cos it’s also quiet. We extended our stay and expecting new drinks but we didn’t get though, sadly.

Clean and user-friendly underground cafe”
The staff and customers are mostly young, making it more comfortable and homely than traditional hotels. I am grateful to the staff who worked until late at night despite the New Year season. I ordered breakfast because I was served New Year's soba and a one-drink cafe. I received mochi on New Year's Day and they even served freshly baked bread at a reasonable price. The only concern is that in any hotel, when filling the bathtub, the water overflows onto the toilet floor when drained. A toothpaste cap fell into the drain, but it fell inside because of the large hole in the drain. Also, although the room is clean, the dimly lit picture of the Japanese-style house feels strange even to people who can see spirits or gods. It would be better to intuitively remove it. I can see it as a Japanese woman, and even my partner who can sense gods says that the picture is unnecessary. Other than that, the room is easy to heat, and the modern style with a step for removing shoes at the entrance at the height of the bed is very comfortable. One thing, the white paint-like concrete on the metal panel on the bath side attached to the wall of the room emits a chemical smell, so I moved the bed away from there to the opposite side. There was a piece of glass under the bed, so I thought that a vacuum cleaner might be needed occasionally. I would like to use this hotel again rather than a traditional one. I had a pleasant time with the staff at the restaurant service cafe. Thank you very much. I hope it will be a good year.

I love this hotel especially the welcome drinks! How I wish they gave us another drinks when we extended our stay, aside from that, everything here is perfect. I also like their lobby, I was able to work remotely while there.

Location is great very near downtown Kyoto, bus stops and train station. A lot of nearby restaurants with different cuisines. Just a minor issue, wrong google map pin. On our way to the hotel for check in, Google Map led us in an alley of old traditional houses adjacent to the hotel. We had to go back to the main street 😅

Clean, good value, friendly service but low English level. Our corner room had poor wifi but after explaining for 10 minutes I was told on google translate to “try again and let us know if there’s problems”. It didn’t work which was annoying but everything else was great

No questions about cleanliness, it's all good and really clean all the time. The bed is big and it is lower like tatami. It comes with a free welcome drink and a fixed set daily breakfast. Only coffee is unlimited. The microwave is at the common area along with the laundry and flat iron. The location is confusing at first before we found it, but it is near the bus stations, restaurants and convenience stores.

My stay here was enjoyable and they give amenities to make it even better. I like the different wallpaper within each floor. The staff was really nice and the location was great too. Only a few minutes to the nearest subway. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff were very nice and polite and spoke pretty good English. Room itself was small and air was dank, but it was clean. Huge step to get into bathroom (tripped a few times). Toilet lid kept falling on me and the seat would move while using it. Beds are basically mattresses on the floor. Location was really good, can walk to Nishiki Market and 3 min walk to bus station. Some hairs in the sink. Ok hotel, but I paid way too much for it because of cherry blossom season.

Good location for major bus no. service available to most of the attractions in Kyoto. Convenient shop just opposite the hotel. Hotel room good size for small families, clean and modern. However 10 to 15 minutes walk from train station. Took taxi from Kyoto station around 1300 yen

Location unfavorable but overall good”
The location is no good. The subway is about 10 minutes walk. It was raining the day and I had difficulties going through the rain and human traffic. Also not east to find with goggle map. I was directed to the back of the building which isn't assessible. But the hotel is clean and bigger than all the hotels I stayed in Japan. Nice gesture to have a welcome drink but I was rejected by the staff at 9.50pm because he said 9.45pm is the last order although it states till 10pm. Breakfast is simple but adequate. Overall not bad.

We stayed for 2 nights in EN Hotel Kyoto and it was nothing short of feeling at home. The people running this establishment were amazingly kind and helpful. The location is great as it is near the business / shopping district but away from the buzzing crowed.

It was comfortable and Kyoto is such a beautiful city. We booked 2 nights initially. We extended it to 5 nights in total. We'll be back.
