I enjoyed my stay here, I did a turnaround trip from California to Vegas and wanted a hotel that was slightly off the strip but had easy free parking and a nice clean room. I booked online and checking in to get my room key didn't take long at all. Which was good because I was tired from driving and didn't want to deal with confusing parking or a crowd. It was pretty quiet for the most part and had a restaurant next door, which I didn't go to. Overall the experience was great and I would definitely come again!

The place was an amazing deal for the area. It's not on the strip but close enough that it's not an issue. My friends who stayed on strip paid through the roof and this was a third of that price. The staff was helpful and the stay was comfortable. Overall, a great deal.

The overall experience was very good. The staff that checks me in is very courteous and gave a lot of tips around the area. Very knowledgeable staff and helpful as well. The location is very convenient and they have a restaurant/casino in the property. I am satisfied and I will definitely come back.

Know your expectations”
The hotel is not one of the fancy hotel that lies in strip. Its one block behind the strip. Its a nice small hotel to sleep and rest with no fancy view from windows. Hotel has its own small casino and pub which seem popular for good foods. Hotel rooms are nice with clean bathroom, room service cleaned my room everyday. My room was quiet. Though AC does make some sound, but that didnt affect my sleep. Casino is small and starting bet are minimum. So good if you want to be careful. Hotel has its own alcohol brewery.

From the map, it looks like quite near the strip. But as you walk, you find that it takes 10 minutes to the strip. The street can be quite quiet at night. Please be careful.

'Resort Fees' without the resort.”
NO pool, No Golf course, No shows, no Sauna, No daily room service unless you ask for it - I'm totally befuddled how they can justify this. Air conditioner has a high frequency turbine whine like a jet idling in the room. I had to turn it off to hear myself think. Just a 10 - 15 minute walk to the monorail - at $5 per trip if you have two people, it the same cost as an Uber without the walk. However, the BBQ is really good. Be aware the the portion is large, one plate is enough for two people. You have to walk through a stinky cigarette smoke filled casino to get to the restaurant.

So I didn’t pay attention to the date when I booked the room and it was not refundable so my kids live in Las Vegas so I said well it paid for use the room I told the receptionist and I even told her I left the key and things in the room for the kids the maid clean and got rid of the food and drinks I put in the fridge when I called to complain they put me on hold then said they would leave a note for a manager and would make it right I called twice more and got a recording that I left message with my number nothing has been done but if I had drank there waters you can be sure I would have been charged that day

I won’t stay here again”
The list of reasons why this note was a disappointment is long. It’s basically a very old hotel that had cheap renovations done to make it look nicer, but if you put lipstick on a chicken it’s still a chicken. I’m not one require luxury accommodations, just a basic place to sleep. But this place is too basic, right down to not having a microwave in the room. Adding to that - the water smells really bad, my non-smoking room reeked of pot smoke, the ear splitting fire alarms accidentally went off in the middle of the night - not once but twice., the faucet in sink is too small so everything you put on the vanity ends up sitting in a half inch of water, the air conditioner is very loud and wakes you up every time it kicks on, etc etc. I didn’t expect much for the price. But after seeing how run down and dysfunctional this place is under the new decor, it felt gross. I won’t stay there again.

Unbeatable value ”
We had a great stay at Super 8. It's a 10 minute walk to the strip and given there are no resort fees, it can't be beaten on price. The rooms were nice - huge, comfortable bed; big tv w/ cable; good shower and a/c. Worth noting that the pool is also 24 hrs (rare in Vegas). The staff were friendly and helpful and the attached casino, Ellis Island, is a great option for eating. The ribs are highly recommended. The stay also included a free daily breakfast which we missed every day up to the morning we left (warning: Vegas nights can sometimes turn into Vegas mornings/afternoons) and were pleasantly surprised by it considering the cost of a stay at super 8. Cereal, toast, waffles, yoghurt, coffee, orange juice. All in all, if looking for a budget option then Super 8 can't be beat.
