Unacceptable: room smelled like a mouse cage due to bats in the roof”
The French host put us in a room with bats in the bamboo roof, the room smelled like a mouse cage and in the morning there was feces everywhere in the room. The next morning they smoked the roof out and over 50 bats came out of the roof, which was a problem they were well aware of. Unacceptable to expose a family with a young child to bats and their feces. We left this property early. Local servants were really willing to help but the French host couldn’t care less and made clear we could be happy that we didn’t have to pay for the night we were not staying there. Very sad because this is a property with a nice potential, although already in decline (due to bad management and not well maintained).

My Dear Guest, First of all i would like to thanks you a lot for your nice comments on our villa situation. About the issue of having some Bats under the roof ( not inside the room) at the moment ( witch we was not aware at all ) surely you notice that the host did many things to resolve the problem with fumigation, spraying some repellant etc... As you can imagine we can't resolve the problem of potential smell instantaneously and if it was such an issue at moment you should asking to be relocated that we will be very happy me and my staff to do !! The maintenance of the villa is quiet hard effectively because guest (French careless ) broke our billard carpet and we just changed recently to maintain the villa quality always on the best as we can. We always make efforts to improve our service's everyday and satisfy our clients. The management

Perfect weekend away”
Stayed here between our Ubud and Canggu accommodation and it was amazing. Unfortunately my wife and I couldn't make the most of their facilities and options but we were really impressed with this place. The staff were attentive, food was prepared fresh (didn't quite understand what vegan meant but won't hold that against them) the rooms were huge and outdoor bathroom was a treat. Would definitely stay here again.

The best villa in Bali”
I stayed in many villas before and I have to say that Tangguntiti is very special. The property is lush, green, and gorgeous. The view is very beautiful, overlooking the rice fields. I could sit and watch the sunset there forever! There are some bicycles that you can borrow for free. It took me 20mins to go to the beach, passing by the river, ricefields, temples and local Balinese houses. The beach is very quiet and peaceful. The manager Manuel was very friendly and helpful, the staff is very nice! There are not many restaurants available, but you can always ask the chef or Manuel to cook for you; the food is very affordable and great!! I will definitely come back again!

One Word "Paraside"”
The villa was the best experience we have had whilst travelling Bali and around South East Asia. The villa is located slightly away from the congested cities, however, it's very easily acceasbile either renting a bike or hiring a driver for the for R600,000 (£30) for the whole day. The small village and people are amazing, which is perfect for a city getway with a stunning view of the rice terrace. The staff are well above 5 stars and they go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. During our stay, we requested on the day to rent a bike and they were willing to allow us to use their bikes to go to beach which was around 10 to 15 minutes away from the villa as an example on how friendly they are. The Butler Abdi is one of the best people I have met during my travel to which till this day I am still in contact with him and become a close friend of mine. He recommended a local restaurant and introduced us to the family, they were amazing people and would recommend

- un endroit magnifique offrant un confort extraordinaire dans un décor raffiné, un peu retiré des zones "envahies" par les touristes - un personnel très accueillant, toujours prêt à faire plaisir et qui nous ont aidé à organiser des excursions très agréables en famille - une piscine superbe où les enfants ses sont régalés - le plus bel endroit où nous avons séjourné pendant notre voyage à Bali
