We had a great stay at Duta Garden hotel. The staff was very welcoming and extremely helpful when we had a difficulty with a tour provider. The day manager during our stay (Jan 21-22,2023) graciously assisted us in our difficulty and in securing a driver for a day tour. The room was clean and very spacious and the outdoor areas well kept and scenic. We will definitely come back to this hotel when we go back to Yogyakarta.

The building is hommy and all rooms face a relatively natural garden with a swimming pool in the middle. Located in the middle of a residential area away from the noise of the city. The staff is friendly and ready to help. Artistic interiors of guest rooms and function rooms with attention to detail.

great location and good value”
We picked this hotel partly becasue it wasn't right in the busy center of town but was close in. Lots of nice restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk and a local street full of galleries and batik factories to visit. 25 minutes walk north to the sultan's palace but only 10 minutes by motor scooter driven cart - the only way to travel! We learned quickly that walking in the heat was not a good choice. The rooms themselves were very nice, loads of space with mini fridge and safe, nice (small) pool, excellent breakfast and afternoon snacks delivered to your room! Didn't try the restaurant for lunch - menu a bit unexciting and plenty of other choice locally.

Hidden Gem ”
It is a gem in the middle of hustle bustle of Yogyakarta. So you must understand that it is quite an effort to find this place. The property is well decorated with Javanese style decor and I love the size of the room as well. The downside was the barely-there breakfast spread. Other than that it is a nice place to spend a night or two.

We had a villa which was very comfortable and large with a nice bathroom and outdoor area. It is close to the area with restaurants and cafes. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Little oasis in downtown Jogjakarta ”
This little hotel is located in the prime tourist section of the city where rooms don't offer much for amenities or views. This place is an exception - due to wonderful design and landscaping you feel as though you are in a secluded area. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Hard to find a nicer atmosphere within walking distance to the cafes and restos of Prawirotaman

Ants in my bed, ants everywhere!”
The other reviews have got all the good things - property itself is very nice, location is quiet but convenient enough about a 10min walk away from the main strip of bars/ restaurants. The garden villa is part of the draw, but in our room, there were ants literally everywhere - including over 20 in our bed. The staff sprayed the bed with insecticide a few times but the ants just kept coming, including one night visit where we got woken up with ants crawling on our faces. We got ourselves a new room after that episode, but ants in your bed and on your face is really not what you want on a holiday. Not a fan of the scrappy toilet that came with yellowing and/or stained towels. Don't stay here if you're a clean freak like me - not coming back for sure.

Beautiful Grounds and Room, Fabulous Service”
Loved staying here. Off the trafficked streets yet easy access to everything. Quiet and walkable to wonderful restaurants. The staff was accommodating and gave excellent service. Highly recommend this hotel. They also did a lovely job (and inexpensive) on laundry:)

It felt every day like Honeymoon, great ambience”
We enjoyed the pool, the breakfast and the amazing cozy room with absolutely beautiful interior. The bed was super soft and the bathroom big enough with a bathtub. The only thing what happened in that night was that the electric went off and we needed a candle for 2 hours. We understand that this can happen. Anyway it was a awesome stay and we would like to come back one day!

Beautiful garden & lovely staff, but bathrooms need updating ”
Our room was very spacious and the bed quiet comfortable. The terrace overlooked the pool/garden, which is well-maintained. However, the chairs at the pool need to be replaced and the bathrooms should really be updated.
