A very nice hotel”

The receptionist who checked us in and showed us to our room was very nice. We were lost in the city and couldn't find the way to the hotel, when we called the hotel they came for us immediately, they took care of our luggages. Even that we came late, they served us a very good dinner. The man who worked there, Junior, was very helpful, giving us the advices what to visit,the service was beyond impeccable, the dinner in the hotel was delicious, the room was nice and spacious. The hotel is very clear. The breakfast was perfect and the woman served us the mint tea during the day. We had a perfect stay in this hotel. After this hotel (because it was fulled for next day) we stayed in other riad Dar Said (Fes) that was pretented (as they told) to be as a 5 stars hotel and it was nothing to do with the marvellous Dar Bensouda. The service was for 3 stars and it was more expensive, when in Dar Bensouda the service is like in 5 stars hotel and it was less expensive.Dar Bensouda is a quiet hotel with personnal approach to every guest, very nice staff and we had a very nice séjour there!

Spectacular stay”

My parents and I enjoyed an extraordinary stay at Dar Bensouda. We heard about the dar through fellow travelers in Marrakech. After winding our way through the narrow alleys and climbing many stairs, we arrived at the beautiful Dar Bensouda. The pool and courtyard are relaxing and picturesque, and the rooftop terrace is incredible. We had the best guide to show us the medina, Khaled who works for Dar Bensouda. Everything about our stay was pleasant. My only suggestion would be to improve the air circulation in our room. It got mildly stuffy at night, but we still slept well. I would highly recommend staying here as your gateway to the legendary medina of Fes!

Great Riad with extremly efficient staff”

Dar Bensouda Guest House was so beautiful and the rooms were very clean. Lunch and breakfast was delicious. The staff, especially the manager, was extremely accommodating , helpful and friendly. Was more like staying in a home than a hotel. Will recommend this place highly!

True Moroccan Experience ”

We loved the Dar Bensouda. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Nice and elegant Moroccan touches beautiful high ceilings. Said and his team were very welcoming and accommodating. Fez can be overwhelming and you can get lost in it easily but all you had to do call Said and they came to escort you back if you needed. The roof top patio was beautiful as well in the Riad and you saw the view of the medina. The breakfast and dinner was also very good at the Riad.. Would go back and recommend highly

Good property! Location..”

We booked dar Bensouda because the rating was very high and the pictures looked incredible. The property is stunning and the rooftop view is just amazing and very private. The property is like an oasis escape from the sketchy exterior. The location wise.. I would say it's quite secluded and you have to face the sketchy pedestrians on the maze like street. Would recommend this place for couples! Good luck getting there.

Wonderful hidden gem in the Medina”

We arrived from Fes airport mid morning and had a little trouble getting in initially because we hadn't told the staff we would need someone to escort you. The streets are an incredible maze! Once we got there we were greated warmly, given some tea with cookies and they got our room ready. After we settled in we enjoyed a delicious breakfast down by the stairs. Everything was so tasty! Next the hotel arranged (last minute) a guide to give us a tour through the Medina. He took us on a nearly 5 hour journey! It was amazing! After we got back to the hotel we enjoyed the rooftop views of the sun going down, dipped our feet on the pool and enjoyed a relaxing shower in the beautiful bathroom in our room before dinner. Dinner was once again down by the pool and we were able to enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. Once again it was delicious! Our whole stay was wonderful and I wish we could've stayed longer! I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

The riad is very pretty, we feel like staying at princess jasmine house. Although the riad is located inside the madina souk, someone can helping you to bring the bag just calling the staff at riad. Service is excellent, Mamoune the owner of the riad is very kind. The riad have a very big rooftop, view from the rooftop is very beautiful. We can see sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. Food also excellent. We will stay there if we come back to fes

Old imam house restored hotel”

beautifully decorated dar with small pool in the middle of oldest medina in morocco. every interesting places are within walking distance from the dar but you will need a guide. you can walk on your own if you have time to get lost in the medina. Breakfast was very yummy and one of the best for us in morocco. The room was comfortable and the rain shower runs strong. To come here you need to call the hotel to pick you up from batha square. I don't think any first time visitor can walk on his own to the dar even with a detailed map.

pretty riad”

very pretty and spacious riad with friendly staff. it's better to have the riad staff to pick you up at the main gate od medina when you first arrive fes as it is located at the middle of the maze. we stayed for 3 nights and on the last day we needed to leave the riad for bus at 7am and the staff got up and prepared our breakfast at 6am.Good service.

Absolutely fabulous - wanted to stay longer!”

Absolutely without a doubt our best stay in Morocco during our 11 days. Hamid and the staff were fabulous and catered to all of our needs. I felt like I was at the spa and just had the best introduction to Morocco by staying here. I would return and I would suggest this Dar to anyone! Absolutely perfect!!

Beautiful and clean riad”

The hotel is clean, conveniently located in medina, and it also has really good mint tea (the best we had so far), beautiful terrace to view the medina. The staff are helpful. They arranged official guide for us to explore the city. Since we left early for flight, so they packed the breakfast for us. Will definitely stay again.

Gorgeous Riad with beautiful atmosphere”

This Riad is gorgeous. I believe I was told that an important Imam once lived here. The owners have combined it with 2 adjoining Riads so it is very spacious, with dining by the pool, and an incomparable rooftop view. Breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this riad. It has a small pool on the main floor where you can have meals/breakfast. Every staff member was very kind and very accommodating with our requests. I traveled with my wife, baby (nearly 2 yrs) and in-law (parent). The one item to be aware of is the location is about a 10 min walk from nearest point a car can drop you off. This walk took my family about 15 mins given my elder in-law that has challenges walking up/downhill and long distances. The Medina is a maze so it was very helpful the hotel sends a staff member to transport your bags in a little cart with wheels (booked tranport through Dar Bensouda - highly recommend it if you are with family/bags). Night time walking adventures to get food can be intimidating (confusing streets even google maps and some locals which are trying to approach you to "help" you find your way) with family which the manager had advised me about.
