The Hotel is old and not in good condition. The bar is totally unwelcoming. The Casino is no longer operative, although the hotel is advertised as having a Casino. Everything is really shabby. I will never stay here again, and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
PLEASANT STAY. BIG CONFUSION ON DEPARTURE.THE CHECK OUT STAFF,ASKED FOR PAYMENT FOR A PREPAID ACCOMMODATION.LOT OF INCONVENIENCE ,AS THE MANAGER HAD TO BE CALLED AND REVERSED THE PAYMENT.UNNECCESARY DELAY.THE STAFF SHOULD HAVE CHECKED ,AT THE TIME OF CHECK IN THAT IT WAS A PREPAYMENT.
Stay was acceptable but could have been better. The town does not have a lot of hotels, so choice is limited. Pros Location in the town centre is helpful The staff tried to help, within reason. They did get out of their way to find solutions to my problems I was having Room was clean, but the corridors could do with some work/cleaning There was a good gym with modern equipment Cons Wifi was non existent in my room. I was advised to go downstairs outside my room and sit in the corridor to get a connection. Even going and sitting near reception, the wifi kept on disconnecting Some carpets were getting torn, and some of the walls especially at the hotel rooms at the back were dirty

Room was fine, a little noisy with the casino next door. Many items on the dinner menu not avalable that was disappointing. Room card system was also not working. In general not good value for what it offers. Drinks and food very pricey.
