Run down hotel”
The pool is not open and hasn’t been for years! Still in the pictures for the hotel. Tired rooms. And the staff barely acknowledge you. Absolutely ridiculous pricing for such a run down building. Avoid!

London Courthouse Hotel”
Overall, I rate the hotel very highly. We would definitely stay at the Courthouse again. As noted above, the location in London is a perfect location for shopping and shows - very close proximity to Regent and Oxford streets, and the Oxford Circus Underground station. From this station, one finds easy access to most of London as well as London's airports. The service was excellent and the hotel was quite nicely appointed - both lobby and guestrooms.

Haven of tranquility in the busy heart of London”
Such a surprise to find such a lovely hotel right in the heart of London, for not a totally ridiculous price. From the moment you walk in the door you get a feeling of calm and relaxation which is just what you need after a day in the city. The designers have enjoyed combining the history of the building as a court house with a sort of Zen tranquility, which is quirky but very pleasant. The rooms are very nice - even the lowest priced are spacious and light. There is a very nice bar, with side rooms that used to be the lock-up cells (complete with loo!), and the pool and spa downstairs, though small, are an added benefit. We had been given vouchers for the Champagne tea, and later the Champagne cinema evening, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed! I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

excellent hotel, but breakfast was not worth the money”
the location, rooms and swimming pool is all really good value for money. The employees in the breakfast department were a bit rude and the quality of the food was not good at all. We needed to clean the tables, arrange set up for 7 persons and bring coffee by ourselves. If we asked the staff for something they really made a point of their stress and breathed heavily++ I am really surprised over the breakfast department as the rest of the crew on Courthouse Hotel is really really friendly and polite. Instead of paying silly money for the breakfast add on, it is better to walk to the neighbour restaurant for a higher quality breakfast and friendly staff.

Great location, charm”
The Courthouse Hotel is conveniently located in Soho, and just a few minute walk to West End. Staff was pleasant (and helped me print a document I needed). There is a reputed nice rooptop bar - but at our checkin, we were told we would have needed reservations in advance for the bar. Rooms were cozy but with charm. Our only unsurmountable problem was with the air conditioner. The room would not cool below 74 degrees (23.5 celcius) in June (it was much cooler in the lobby as well as outside in the early morning, but windows wouldn't open). For most, this is probably acceptable, but my family likes to sleep cooler. Phoned for maintenance twice - and they could not do anything - I believe it's their standard. Unfortunately, for this reason alone, we would not stay at this hotel again.

lovely hotel in a great area.”
great location in central london. ideally located for shopping, sight seeing , dining and nightlife. only a minutes walk to the underground and the bustling high streets of oxford and regent streets whilst also located on the outskirts of soho. the bar is unique in that it was a court house in the past and you can be served a night cap in a little prison cell for the ultimate intimate experience. will be back again.

Great location ”
took my mum up to london with the intention of seeing the christmas lights and doing some shopping. the location couldn't have been better due to the hotels proximity to the main shopping streets in central london. the beds were extremely comfortable with great pillows and duvets you could snuggle up in. the bar is very quirky with old holding cells due to it having been a former courthouse. i cannot comment on the food as we didn't eat there. overall a nice hotel, good service and very clean, but for five stars it failed to have the wow factor i was hoping for. please bear in mind that i have been spoiled in many five star hotels in asia and maybe my comparison is slightly unfair.

Great location but question the value”
Overall, I enjoyed my two nights at the Courthouse Hotel. The room was larger than other hotels I have stayed in. The bed and linens were comfortable, the bathroom was a nice size, and there were nice toiletries provided to guests. The half wall of the bathtub was annoying though as water still got all over the floor. The room needed some sprucing up as there was a large stain on the carpet, some room details seemed worn, etc. However, the lobby was beautiful, and the staff at the front desk / concierge desk were very helpful and pleasant. I never ate at the hotel, but it was a required rating.

Ideal location ”
Ideal location, we were going to a show at the London Palladium and it was perfect. Reception staff especially Bruna, very friendly, helpful and professional, Concierge staff too. Breakfast, served 7:30 -10:30 was a complete disappointment, we went down just before 10:00, no Hash Browns, no Bacon, no Eggs, no Bread. I pointed this out to a very sullen waitress, she was actually the only waitress at that point. She brought bread through and eventually another waitress brought bacon but the other dishes were never filled. At 10:40, 3 waitresses very quickly cleared everything away, I couldn't help but think if they filled the empty dishes with the same gusto they cleared everything away, breakfast would have been an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic Location and Staff”
We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again. We arrived very early after a long flight and were able to check in shortly thereafter (thanks Alexander!). The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Location is perfect for shopping, restaurants and walking to other areas (Knightsbridge, Kensington etc are an easy walk away). We'll be back the next time we're in London!

Great location, attentive staff, reasonable rates”
No complaints, was upgraded to a nicer room than what I booked. Staff friendly and efficient. The rooms aren't big - but that's London for you. The location is superb at Oxford Circus station and Carnaby street close to restaurants, shops and shows.

Great location, comfortable room, good value”
The hotel is superbly located just behind Oxford circus tube, across from Libertys and Carnaby Street and with M and S a 100 meters away Check in was quick and easy. The hotel is only medium sized, located in the old magistrates courts, so it feels a little homely and welcoming The room was a fair size by London standards, and well equipped. The bathroom was surprisingly roomy My room was at the back -away from the front street -which is wise as it was quiet, which is probably not true at the front The staff were friendly and the bar is unique as you can actually sit in cubicles that were once... the holding cells for criminals about to face the magistrate!

Great location”
The hotel is located in central London where you can easily get access to the shopping areas and restaurants. just 5min walk to Soho and Oxford Street. Staff are very nice. 1st day when we arrived and found out WiFi is not complimentary in the hotel. The hotel staff pointed us to the nearby coffee shop where we can get it free that saved us 15 pounds per day! BTW, the welcome cookies taste very good. Make sure you get it when you check in.

Central, Clean, Functional...some irritants”
The hotel is in a great location. Close to Oxford Circus, and the tube. On the edge of Soho. Great bars, restaurants, and shops all around. East walk to major attractions etc Rooms are clean and well appointed. There is a nice bar but I did not try the restaurant. This hotel now charges for internet. Annoying because it did not use to and many in London do not. Doubly annoying because it did not work in my room, although I must say when I complained they installed a router and it was fixed Most staff are very pleasant but one reception person was sour and surly which funnily enough really spoiled my stay

A short stay, but one can't beat the convenience”
I've stayed here before, but it was part of the Doubletree then. It's now an independent hotel which I would hope that it would spend some money to upgrade the rooms as well as better maintenance and upkeep of the overall hotel. However, one can't beat location of the Courthouse Hotel. It is very close to things that I'm familiar with and shops.

Location excellent”
We wanted a hotel near to the Palladium so that we wouldn’t have to walk too far after the show. This hotel was literally just around the corner. Didn’t book breakfast as it seemed expensive at £22 per person and there wasn’t a view from our room but the overall ambience was great.
