Clark Freeport Zone hotels & places to stay

Wow, wow, wow! Widus became really excellent! I haven't been there for a while and I was positively surprised! I think they have a new management otherwise there would be not this dramatic changes. Polite and caretaking staff everywhere in hotel and restaurant, very clean. So really very good international standard now. I know all Clark Freeport hotels as I'm nearly every week there for business and I must say, Widus is now the best hotel in Clark Freeport!

Ever since Midori opened its Hotel in Clark, it has always been our Family Go To Hotel. My 3 year old daughter, Monique is a Hotel fan. She loves to be in hotels more than beaches. And the best hotel for her is Midori. We have been to a lot of hotel, but she feels that Midori is like her second home. Normally, when we go there, we had to extend our stay and book at the hotel because she starts to cry when we tell her it's time to go home. Now, she is 4 years old, going 5 this October, but still she loves this hotel with all her heart. Thus, this is our Family Go To Hotel. In the eyes of my little girl, this is "The Best Hotel in the Whole Wide World", according to her language.

A great place for families with young children. Fontana has amenities that kids and even kids at heart would enjoy such as water parks, hot spring pools, basketball court, playground, gym, spa and sauna. There is also a casino in the hotel. The breakfast buffet is okay but not great. Though the location of Fontana is inside the Clark Freeport Zone where the duties for the imported products is 0%. Great place to shop.

This hotel was rated a 3 star on agoda and at first I was very iffy in reserving since the previous reservation at another hotel for the same rating did not go well at all. When the original reservation did not go well, my husband and I as well as our two kids (9months and 5yrs) ended up driving around at 12am to look for a hotel that we were going to be comfortable in (since this was a family vacation, of course we wanted to be comfortable). So being that this was rated on agoda as a 3 star when I viewed the room on our little midnight hotel hopping I was amazed to see how spacious, clean and very inviting the room was. But, using agoda's ratings as my guide, I hesitated to book because there was a 4 star rated hotel not too far from Royce so we decided to check that out first. There were more hotels on our way to the four star hotel so we stopped and checked out each one of them before finally arriving at the four star hotel at around 2am. Because of the experience at the original hotel we booked and the midnight hotel hopping with an infant and a toddler we decided the 4 star hotel was decent enough and we were exhausted so we spent the night there but still was not completely satisfied. The lobby was gorgeous and the room was ok but it seemed more like a condo that was being converted into a hotel room, that and the bed was so hard. It honestly was like sleeping on plywood with sheets over it. So the next day My husband and I decided to check out and check into Royce and let me tell ya.....it was the best decision ever. Even though the pool was under renovation and there was not too much to explore, it didn't matter because the room was so comfortable and so perfect that we didn't want to leave the room anyway. The only thing that was a no go for me was the fact that it was a casino so the lobby smelled of cigarette smoke but was to be expected considering it was a casino. But still that didn't bother us much since we weren't planning to stay in the lobby. But y

The 1-bedroom suite was really spacious with enough space for a dining table had there been one. I think the units are really big since they were previously condo units that had been converted to hotel rooms. The toilet area was a bit small though with the bowl almost next to the wall. The floor that we were on smelled of dust as there was an ongoing construction on another wing as the hotel were adding more rooms. There was no noise however that we heard from the construction. Breakfast was good enough. Not much of a variety of selections but what’s usually served for breakfast was there. If you have a car, the location is not a concern. But if not, then the place is pretty much isolated. I think anywhere in Clark Freeport Zone is. I haven’t even seen taxis passing by. There’s a 7-eleven downstairs but not much restaurants/fastfood choices nearby. McDo is probably a 20min-walk down the street while Puregold duty free is closer to the hotel.

This hotel is within the Clark zone, so its neighborhood is relatively safer and cleaner than other parts of the region. Although the room price is a little bit more expensive than that outside the zone, I feel it worthwhile paying the extra money for the environment. I enjoy walking around the area where is hotel is situated because the streets are wide and clean with lots of trees. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. They can help arrange taxi if you need that. However, since the hotel is not far away from Clark airport, so it is also possible to walk to the airport.

Stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is on their soft opening, just opened last January 2017 as per staff. Location is within freeport zone where korean establishments are most abundant. Due to its location, I personally recommend you renting a car from the airport as restaurants are not walkable and never saw a cab in hotel perimeter. Security were tight as well. We needed a quiet accommodation and that's why I rated it as 5 star. The hotel is clean and housekeeping was diligent in doing their job. We stayed on the 3rd floor and surprisingly, no lift. The toilet and bath were modern, however, poorly designed. Whenever you take a bath, the toilet will be all wet, you need at least 3 bath rugs to absorb the water from the floor. I am always careful with my choice of bathroom in a hotel, but i miss this one. They are still building their restaurant so expect some noise during the day. They give coupons for complimentary breakfast but I did not even bother to eat, no lift. I don't really mind the hotel's WiFi for as long as there is Globe LTE, can't really rely on hotel's freebies anyways, however, for my 4 night's stay, WiFi was non existent. I would recommend getting either Globe or Smart data for back up. Staff were respectful, kudos to Joanne from the front desk, thank you for your assistance.

Where you US Airforce staff and have been 10 or 20 years before in Clark? Then you will love it. The entrance area is new but the rooms are the same as decades before. Perhaps you still find your chewing gum there somewhere under the writing desk or on the carpet. The bathroom installations are meanwhile antique... There are today much better hotels in Clark freeport. So better leave it.

Kingsley's is not so much a hotel as a 24-hour pub and restaurant within the Clark zone that also offers guest rooms on the upper floors That said, it was exactly what I needed as - a base to prepare for a mid-morning business meeting after traveling from Manila in the early hours; and - having just arrived from North America, a place to sleep off the 'jet lag' before flying to Cebu that evening Unlike all other hotel properties I called that are located near the Clark airport terminal, Kingsley's - offered the most reasonable rate; - did not seek an 'early check-in' fee; and - after confirming the ability to check in early, offered the 'day room' at a discounted rate A quick check-in at the bar allowed time to drop bags in the room before continuing to my meeting After the meeting, the pub lunch just before going to bed was first-rate The room itself was just what an international traveler needs - quiet, spacious, well-appointed, good air-conditioning, having effective curtains to make the room fully dark for day sleeping, and a well-stocked 'mini-bar' with free drinking water The wake-up call came on time, and a follow-up call to inquire when I needed transportation to the airport allowed a perfectly-timed departure for my flight My only niggles were - no elevator and narrow outside stairs to the upper floor room made moving 50 kg of luggage a challenge (even with assistance); and - the inflated 'flat fee' transportation to the airport (they are hardly alone in this, however, as all hotels and taxi companies in the Clark zone charge the same high fees) Will repeat for a stay of longer duration next time

Place is relatively new, but location is not too reachable. It is within Clark Freeport Zone where only one route of jeepney can reach the area. You have to walk a few meters to reach it from the drop off point of the jeepney. It is not commuter-frienACdly, but if travelling with car may be fine. The hotel has a 24-hr service car available where they charge P200 for destinations within Clark Freeport. Hotel staff are accommodating. They will address all your needs and assist in every way they can. The electric outlets are not the standard ones we have at home, thus you need to borrow adapters from the reception or bring one because they are not always available. Wifi connection in each room is fast. Hotel is Korean-owned, so expect Korean-made appliances and other things inside the hotel.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. The place was clean and the staff was good. We were just surprised about the ambiance and the type of hotel it was. It was a hotel for lovers or for short time stays. There was no hint in their website that it was such. I would not recommend it for a family vacation. It would have been nice if they write it out in their description here in agoda so that other customers would not be surprised. Thank you.

Clark Star Hotel is close to shops ,restaurants and nice big park over the road.The staff were very good .Though our allocated room was small they moved us to a bigger one as it was available. No hassles with this.Restaurant was good.Aircon and cable tv worked well.My only slight negative was the rooms were quite small but there were bigger ones for a higher price. All things said it was good value for the price.
