Where to stay in Shenzhen
Shenzhen hotels & accommodations

I usually stay elsewhere in Shenzhen, but tried the wyndham for a change and was really impressed for the price. it's a 5 star for what matters. what I like about wyndham in china is they also have European of north American staff on rotating training courses there so you can always speak to someone in English is you need to for more complex things. it's been helpful i...

Great hotel. For the money, the value is good but not great; there are cheaper hotels in Shenzhen but they aren't as nice. I stayed for 3 nights and one of those nights I didn't get fruit. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a welcoming thing or if it was for every day. The bathtub in my room was pretty shallow. The staff was extremely helpful. Especially the con...

I was there 5 nights. Good value for the money. I bought "membership" for 50 yuan and for that they washed 2 garments per day free. The breakfirst was for Chinese people and not for me. The room was rather big and very clean.Dongman street is the best shoppingcenter for clothes in Shenzhen if you want buy cheap. Very quet during the nights. If I come again to Shenz...

As I planned to propose to my gf during in Hilton during our holiday in Shenzhen. Hotel answered all of my inquiries and try to accommodate all of my request whatever possible through months of email before our stay. The room was absolutely perfect and towel love decoration (swan and rabbit) surely make the overall room experience to go to the another level. Million th...

just got back 2 days ago. this was my last hotel of the trip. stayed for 2 nights. this was the best of all the hotels. my room was on the 26th floor. incredible view of the city! (this hotel starts on the 23rd floor up to the 36th) so nice view on all floors... starbucks on the first floor. great way to start the morning. long story short, i will only stay at this h...

My husband suggested to stay here again if we travel Shenzhen. It provides convenient location, big and grand bedroom, excellent and efficient check in /out service, tasty food buffet and also discount Spa service (very economical price) that our family enjoy very much. Highly recommended to stay again. I love it!

My stay at the Grand Mercure Oriental Ginza Hotel in Shenzhen was very good. Room was very spacious and clean. Hotel has all facilities that will make your stay satisfactory. They have differrent restaurants , Western and Chinees , seperate winre and cigar bar at the top floor . Sportsbar at the 7th floor and swimming pool Sauna Gym an more on the 5th floor. Not very m...

This hotel is the best, location is very good, I have been to a lot hotel in Shenzhen. So far I find this hotel is big, cheap and nice and staff were very friendly other than the breakfast are all the same everyday but for that kind of price is still worth it. Will stay here again every time I visit.

This is a very nice hotel, the staff are extremely helpful and most speak english. You cannot even push the lift buttons yourself, someone will do it for you. The problem is the hotel is too isolated and far away from restaurants and shopping areas. Also, for a shenzhen hotel, the rooms are tiny. Great place if you are there for only a few days and on business only

The Hyatt Place Dongmen has become my new "must stay" value hotel in Shenzhen. Located at the junction of two MTR lines, you can easily get anywhere in Shenzhen without using a taxi. Only 10 minutes to Luohu border crossing. Dongmen walking street is right across the street as is an outdoor entertainment garden. Lots of great restaurants within two blocks. Staff i...

The bed at novotel is something to enjoy for a 3 star hotel. It far exceeds the quality of other 3 star hotels. The room is well designed, unique for a 3 star hotel. Overall it was a nice hotel in shenzhen, close to the main shopping centers by Taxi and subway. A great one for shopping.

when traveling to shenzhen i always stay at the se view o'city hotel in the overseas chinese town (oct) area. the hotel is located in a very nice area of shenzhen close to some main atractions in shenzhen like the windows of the world , splendid china and happy valley. the shenzhen mtr is just in front of the hotel. hoetel has a bar at the first floor and two restau...

The hotel is aim for couple but also welcome kids. It is very well decorated and hip hop style. Afterall, you can expect all the Hard Rock hotel feeling in here. The hotel offer you to borrow electronic guitar and bass, together with a turntable with few classic vinyl, that is very interesting indeed. The location of the hotel is quite far away from Shenzhen City ce...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The last time when we were in Shenzhen , we stayed at a different hotel and the hallways smells like smoke. At the Mehood, they did a good job in covering up the smoke smell with perfume or some nice scent. The location is convenient and right by the metro line. The staff is really friendly and they give free fruits at ...

This was my first time that i have booked this hotel in Shenzhen. Basically all Staffs are professionally and very friendly. I received a surprise upgrade to a better room, however the hotel location is not very convenient as i need to take a taxi to nearby MRT station. They have a shuttle bus to the airport at certain timing which I found that this service is very con...

We chose this hotel as we wanted something close to Huaqiangbei where all the electronics stores are located. We also needed access to the internet and this was the only hotel in that vicinity that offered free Wi Fi. Other hotels nearby charged alot more for their rooms and extra for internet access. Near the hotel are many restaurants and there is a Seven Eleven less...

This was our second hotel I stayed at in Shenzhen and it was amazing. The place is practically brand new with fantastic amenities (good gym - has free weights, sauna, tub) Views from rooftop bar are very nice. Highly recommend! Rooms were 1st class. Nothing but the best. Only fault would be pool is not open yet, but it should be soon. It's on the rooftop and will ...

Everything is ruined in the last minutes. Checked out was unorganized, took me ages and wasn't even done correctly. Got a call asking when whether I would like to check out when I already left China. Otherwise room is clean, and I especially like the air conditioning system that smoking from corridor and other rooms don't spread to my room.

Outstanding Hotel. I do not know why it is not rated higher!! I have stayed at many 5+ star hotels, and I consider the Shenzhen Langham in Asia....and I have stayed in many of the World's best cited by Trip Advisor. The room was large comfortable.. Room was clean. MESSAGE TO LANGHAM MANAGEMENT TEAM IN SHENZHEN: The female butlers, Rolle Yuan, Candy, Ingrid, Rene...

Overall is good. Room Service is good. But I need to mention one thing. If someone want to booking this hotel for relax. Please see the comment. I feel so disturb when I take a rest at night because have a mini concert outside. My room is face to inside Resturant view. The band is from Resturant. Eventhough I close all the door. Still can heard the sound. The sound s...
Cheap places to stay in Shenzhen

Positive - 10 minutes walk to Metro - Plenty of convenience stores around - The room is big - Wifi is good enough - Private bathroom - Rooftop Negative - Far from Shenzhen city center (1 hour metro/bus ride) - Toilets was clogged when I arrived - Some staff struggle with English

the air conditioner will be turned on at 8.00 pm and off at 9.00 am. the wifi connection is good. the hostel doesn't provide free towel but they sell the small towel for RMB 10. to reach the metro line train is really need an effort, you have to walk about 15-20 minutes to KK Mall where the Metro station in it.

Met some of the friendliest people at this hostel/apartment but YMMV if you don't speak Chinese. I think they cater more to the local youths. Location is convenient; a short walk to COCO Park and train station. However, note that they have only 1 shared toilet (shower and sink) for 10+ people. I will definitely recommend this place for a no-frills accommodation.

This will be my goto hotel in Shenzhen from now on. Staff was very accommodating, despite limited English. Location was one street parallel to the main Shopping Street in Dongmen. Subways were less than a 5 minutes walk. Lots of local eating places, cheap. A bit harder to find mid-level restaurants with table cloths! Extremely comfortable beds and air-con matched ...

Chose this hotel for proximity to Gushu metro station... and price. Typical budget hotel with clean facilities. If you are a non-smoker be sure to specify non-smoking room though! Bed good and lots of hot water so no complaints about the hotel... what was annoying was the traffic noise. It is situated at an intersection so lots of hooting and tooting. If you are a ligh...

I’ve been staying here every time I travel to Shenzhen for the last eight years. Finally they cleaned up the hotel: new carpet, air fresheners, and repaired plumbing. This is the equivalent of a three star hotel at this point. There’s no room service but I’m not sure if that’s throughout China or just this place but there are convenient store And food around the corne...

Location is alright, only checked in here because I booked another room in a Hotel called Yazhuxuan that is in the same building as 7 Days Inn. When I arrived there was a hole in the ground, which was supposed to be the toilet. Anyway checked in here afterwards, small rooms, the usual cockroach in the room, floor was rather clean, walls and bathroom not so much

My staying experience at that hotel was superb, close to local restaurants and cheap markets (though I don't know the market's name), you need to walk about 10 mins to reach the market. The managers are very friendly, one of them went to our rooms just to tell us the number of bus we need to ride, the other one take us directly to bus station. so helping and attentiv...

The description and their location is quite confusing. They should have emphasized that they are near the old airport and not the new international airport. We thought it would be a walking distance from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, but it took us 15mins in taxi to get here. The next morning, we found out that Jinjiang is just in front of Airport Station (lin...

After 4 days on the move from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, I made a good decision by choosing this apartment as we managed to wash all our dirty clothes for our next vacation to Guangzhou. This 2 room apartment is center located. The down part is only it is very hard to find the Block B. Our taxi drive drove us to the right place but we need to find Block B in the middle of ...

Booked this particular 7 Days Inn because it is located in busy Huaqiangbei, Futian, Shenzhen and is around 15-20 minutes away from Yannan Metro Station. Rates are economical for the Economy room, but does not include toothbrush sets as part of their toiletries package (not that I'm complaining since I always have my own set of toiletries whenever I travel). I had a c...

The room was large but lacked decoration. We were on the 8 floor and next to a vacant building that had a guard dog that barked most of the night. The threads on our shower hose was stripped and the sprayer would not stay attached. The dinner and breakfst we had was the best part of the stay at this hotel.

It was my first trip to Shenzhen China from India. Shenzhen is known for electronics, and luckily I stayed in Jia Relax hotel on friends recommendation. Room was nice, clean, washroom was also spic and span clean, and bed was comfortable to sleep. I extended my stay and Reception girl was nice to offer me another room on different floor and I booked again for next 5 da...

For the price it's great. It takes about 10-15mins to the metro. There's a lot of food and shops around here and introduced me to a new part of Shenzhen that I had never been to before after coming for 10 years. The hotel was very quiet for China! Much quieter than hotels near Low Wu. We will stay again!

What a dump! First of all, forget about their claim to have English speaking staff - no way! Also, look carefully at the other hotel features for the one that says "nightclub." That's just what you need at midnight, as you're in room trying to sleep, right - the incessant thump, thump, thump of the bass and drums vibrating through the building from their own in-house...

The cleanliness is out of my expectation !! Great peoples always with smile. When I book with Agoda,it seems like I can't choose the room with two bed, thus ,I check in on time at 1pm, but I still cannt not arranged a room with 2 bed, even I request that let us change the room with 2 bed when available at the front desk, I still have chance on my second day stay. I wil...

Cleanliness is always my first concern, and even though it is not brand new, my room lived up to my demands and will probably live up to yours. There are staff on every floor ready to clean the room or provide anything you need. But if you're in Shenzhen you are probably doing business and needing help. This staff went above and beyond any expectation. When I found ou...

This is a very strategic hotel in Shenzhen, near to the MTR from Hongkong, the location is near to shopping places including Dongmen Market and small shops. The room size is quite big so we can add an extra bed. The facilities are good, include the restaurants. The service man are good.

I spent two nights at this hotel. The rooms were a good size, clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet catered for most tastes, and I had no complaint. For a Chinese hotel, the room rate seemed expensive, but this would seem to be the norm for Shenzhen I would stay at this hotel again

i travelled alone and the hotel is so safe. the staff like the housekeeping they're very helpful. though they can't speak english well but they really tried to help and assist and i really appreciate it. the hotel location is very safe too. i can just walk alone even at night and shop till you drop especially shoes.huh!.. well-lighted area. nothing negative to comment....

Though it's further away from Shenzhen city center area (Futian, Nanshan etc), it's closer to SZX airport. The hotel grand lobby is wonderful, greeted with English speaking staff. There were a lot of choices for buffet breakfast. Exclusive toiletries, iron/iron board is provided in the room. Do not expect to have a great view from the hotel, coz there're a lot of cons...

It was a good hotel overall, and really the only convenient option near Shenzhen airport. It was a bit more difficult to find than expected, and not exactly “connected” to the terminal. It could be very convenient and literally connected, but it’s blocked off and they force you to leave the airport terminal to enter the hotel. Plus there is no signage in the airport o...

I can't say enough good things about the Sunflower! I stayed here because my usual hotel was booked when I came back to Shenzhen and was I lucky! Exceptional facility with gym, room, restaurant with a great hot pot special, nice room with desk, great bed, big two room bathroom with tub and shower, stove, oven refrigeration, balcony... I am not sure all rooms have all o...

ramada shenzhen is the best choice if you wanted some quiet time in sz, the rooms are nice with top quality equipment and room service is excellent, considered the room rate is a bargain, book with agoda, they offer better price even than the hotel staff can. enjoy your stay!

New room ,Big king bed , big room , cold ac , nice shower ,good wifi ,TV hard to turn on since remote control have no english all in Chinese afraid to press any ppv button with the hotel staff help i be able to turn on the tv. Booked four nights from 21/12, checking out 25/12. Used the hotel as a base for exploring Shenzhen and catching up with friends. Also went to Macau for a one night break however stayed booked in here while I was away. This was my first stay at a Sheraton anywhere in the world. Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen is an excellent hotel. Great value for money, room qu...

I was very pleased with my stay at the Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel. Given the price and that the hotel was 3 star only, I was thinking that I would have a communication issue with the staff. To my pleasant surprise, reception and all the front liners spoke English. They tend to speak loudly with hardly any courtesy but you must remember that English is not their first lang...

If you are looking for a place with top-notch dining, nightlife and public transportation access just outside the doors of the hotel, this is the place. The rooms, service, and location are all 5-star quality. You get great value because you aren't paying for an ostentatious lobby and amenities totally unnecessary for the location - very well-concieved and I recommend ...

The reason I mention the Nanshan district is because this is literally the only hotel in Shenzhen that is reasonably close to it. Everything else requires a long walk/long taxi ride/short subway ride. That being said, it wasn't a bad stay for the money. It is definitely a Chinese hotel, with a few Western amenities. Rooms are big and sunny. Carpeting everywhere. Ba...

This hotel is somewhat luxurious and clean, and is valueable for their cheap price. it locates in Longhua, Shenzhen, close to Foxconn. The chinese Restaurant is luxurious and the food is delicious. I think it is the best hotel for your business trip to Foxconn. But compared with the Futian or other downtown district, the Longhua is somewhat mess. Anyway, I think it is ...

Selected hotel as map showed close to Shenzhen airport. Originally going to use Didi to get to hotel from airport, but too confusing, so waited in line an caught regular taxi. Like a Paradise apart in the buzzling Shenzhen/Dongguan agglomeration. Paradise for Golfers and the big "Street of Fame " proofs it with so many star and worldclass golfers having passed by. Good 5 star hotel in China ( china 5 star ). Room is big and clean , many facilities but still you must pay extra cost for the facilities such as bowling , and spa . Only gym and swimming pool is free. Breakfast is very good, many options from western food and asian food.

Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel is a more than 4 star hotel in the ShenZhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is very easy to go the the Convention and also very easy to travel to anywhere in Shenzhen by the underground train. The room is quite wide compare to hotel in Hong Kong. If we will go back to ShenZhen again, we will stay in this hotel.

It is nice there is a villa type with private pool room found in the concrete city of Shenzhen, China; yet it is situated at an inconvenient location whether you are arriving from the airport, train station or Hong Kong side. Taxi seems to be the only way to get there. Besides, it claims to be a resort type of place, but it is lacking of recreation activities other tha...

very good hotel, really impressive lobby and entry, stayed in a townhouse which was very large and swiss style, we could sit on the balcony and take in the great views, plenty of views when walking around the property, really very close to Shenzhen and a great break from the city bustle

It was my second time stayng here. I've stayed more than 10 five-star hotels in Shenzhen and this is the best. Staffs were perfect helping guests and room was spacious and clean. Breakfast and swimming pool were great. There were good restaurants and supermarket in King Glory Plaza near to hotel. Everything was perfect except smell in corridor.

This off season visit offered quiet enjoyment of beach and coastal vistas out to sea. The only disconcerting element is a nearby thermal electric station. Hotel room, grounds, and water enjoyment works are kept in good order. Evening lights softly illuminate the way to several comfortable outdoor conversation areas. Buffet meals were diverse, fresh, and tasty. The prof...

I found this Hotel to be very worthy of 5 stars in all categories. Staff was terrific. The buffet breakfast was one of the best. Centrally in Shenzhen, any kind of food or shopping withing walking distance. Almost directly across from the Windows of the World complex.

I always love treating myself to a stay here. It really is a home from home for me, not only because you actually get an apartment. It is the best in the area, and one of my favourites worldwide. Good for solo to large families. You can see there are families living there long term. It is just far enough from the nightlife area of Shekou to be utterly peacefully, ...

We booked this 5 star hotel cos it was new and seemed to look like it would be modern and trendy, and it was!! We stayed in Villa side, having our own private pool, however the distance between villas is too close, sound proofing is very poor Room is spacious, air-con is very strong and nice, good enough number of bathroom, but floor is not well-wiped, u feel the dust or dirts walking barefoot. Number of power socket is way not enough, cannot even charge my phone in room if u ...

The security/police very helpful. Try to assist me to find the place for Halal Food. Overall nice place and Im Happy to be there.
It's a hectic city full of life, the city that never sleeps! There is plenty to do and plenty to see!
Shenzhen is a thriving city with lots of quality hotels, which make it a nice place to stay for business trips.
Shenzhen at any time of year except Chinese New Year, is a very interesting city. It has many parks and amusement parks to see and is good for shopping.
Favourite place for sightseeing are Windows of the world Splendid China. Favourite place for shopping in Dongmen Area.
very modern fast city with young wealthy population who are generally friendly to visitors. Fantastic new buildings if modern architecture interest you, great shopping for everything, the world's number one shopper (my wife) has never been disappointed when looking for bargains, even if you cannot find larger size clothing there is always jewelry, bags etc.
Better than shopping in the more expensive Hong Kong. Seafood restaurants offer an amazing array of fresh live seafood at a reasonable price.
Shenzhen city is closer from Hongkong and easy access from HKIA by Train, Ferry and busses. A little problem for foreight tourist of business man because most of driver cannot speak English.
From word of mouth, Shenzhen appeared to be a horrible city. But for me, it is generally quite organized, clean and friendly.
Shenzhen is the first and oldest of the Special Economic Zones, set since the days of Mr Deng Ziao Ping, as far as I know.
The people in shenzhen are not as friendly as I think, especially when asking for directions and informations.
Great place to shop and kick back and relax and enjoy the hot springs and all the other fun things to do.
A very metropolitan city with a wide diversity of culture and visitors. Certainly a nice place to immerse in art and culture.
if visiting splendid china, make sure you pick up tickets for the shows early (part of the admission price but requires allocated seating)
Not a place for kids or with large group. Fast city but highly unorganised. Apart from the large hotels, hard to find clean restaurants.
Visit Huaqiangbei, Windows of the World, Splendid China. Lots of great food at Laojie, Shaibu and Guomao.
Crowded city with many famous places such us Window of the World. This city also very near with Hong Kong and Guangzhou
For Android user , I would recommend to install maps.app, which use gps navigator to locate the area, don`t expect to use google map
It is simple. I love this beautiful city!! First time,I have been in Shenzhen in December 2013, and to today, when is April 2015,I'm visited this city 6 times yet !! Weather in Shenzhen is pleasant in winter too, when is about 15 deg.
This place is very similar to Hong Kong, but without the endless and compacted buildings. Public transport is much more advanced than I expected (I would even think it might be better than HK).
Not thing, at all, like HK. There is a lot of Minor Chinese walking around. Just save money for stay at hugh price hotel in HK by staying in Shenzhen and travel back to do shopping in HK.
Convenient transportation with easy access to bus, metro, taxi and rail. There are many shopping arcades for shopping and dinning.
Shenzhen is a nice place but you have to go Luohu, here a lot of famous shopping place, Dongmen pedestrian street, Luohu commercial centre and Huaqian North for shopping.
Shopping is the main reason people flock to Shenzhen. The chance of picking up a bargain to get cheaper goods is just too good to experience.
it is a city that is near to hong kong. From shenzhen it is easy to access to hong kong. Hence it is not a good place to do shopping here as it is more expensive than hong kong.
