"we were lucky to find any hotel room in Oita over the weekend of the RWC Quarter Finals, and we really lucked out with the Hotel Forza which is right in the middle of the restaurants and bars at one end of the covered walkway. It is a short walk from the Bus station and railway station and was an ideal base for the long weekend. The staff, like most in Japan outside the big cities, had very little or very poor English - but still far better than my Japanese."

"GOOD and large hotel, about 4 stars, with reasonable price ( I booked a non-smoking twin room). The room was very big. about 29 square meters. Staffs are very friendly and hotel room is very clean. Rooms are high floors, so guests can enjoy the night view of Oita City from hotel room. There is a Lawson right across the street. The hotel is linked to the main shopping street via a skyway, plenty restaurants nearby. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the JR station. it's by the end of shopping street. Takes about 15min walking from Oita Station."

"The hotel is only 5-8 minutes walk from Oita Station and easy to find. The room space was alright and the bed was comfortable. The hotel overall is clean and well maintained. Too bad we only stayed one night in Oita but it was a very enjoyable stay. We tried the Onsen nearby, it was excellent (ask the receptionist, it's called Sama Sama). And you should try Sushi restaurant around the corner: nice, cheap, fresh and yummy! And their cocktail is excellent!"
