Leeds hotels & places to stay

Last minute booking for a night in Leeds. Hotel is in a great location really central for bars and shops. We got breakfast included which was a great bonus. Building work going on but we weren’t bothered by it at all. Room was a good size but did get very bright in the morning evening with the curtains closed! We enjoyed our stay and would come back mainly because it is in such a good position.

Very nice hotel. Cheap and cheerful with bar and restaurant. Local tesco and a few shops close by, lovely friendly staff, we stayed for 2 nights and it met our needs. We got public transport from Leeds City centre which ran frequently. I have knocked a star of the cleanliness as there was a huge white stain on my daughters runner on her bed which we noticed straight away (god knows what it was) cleaners could not have missed this whilst changing bedding, anyways we just removed it and did not complain. All round good hotel except for the issue above.

we've stay there for 1 night as catching an early morning flight on the next day. room is small but clean like a standard 2 to 3 stars hotel. okay for 1 night staying. however it's not that easy to access to airport. unless you have a car otherwise you need to call a taxi. it's around 10 mins drive to airport. fyi,getting a bus to Leeds downtown station from airport only takes 30 mins.

We stayed at The Wrens as we were seeing a play at Leeds Grand Theatre, and it's literally a stone's throw away. We were given room number 4 which was spectacular - I loved the black and white decor and the wide windows allowing a superb view of Leeds below us. It may not be the quietest location, but it's superb value for money and highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to stay after a night in the centre of Leeds.

Staff were welcoming from arrival to checking out. Nothing was too much trouble and this ranges from reception staff, bar staff, staff maintaining the room and room service. The only criticism was the coffee was overpriced and under flavoured and the breakfast disappointing and 'dry'. I did not eat at the restaurant, but the salad delivered via room service was excellent. The room was quiet, though very warm with very limited ventilation possible. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Leeds in the future.

My friend and I used this hotel for a couple of nights as we were visiting Headingly for Surrey's game at Yorkshire. It served its purpose as it was a good price, comfortable (I had two good nights sleep which is unusual for me when I'm travelling) and conveniently located right by the cricket ground and accessible from Leeds by bus and train. There are lots of good pubs and eating places nearby and places to walk. Breakfast was free if you wanted the basic cereal and toast with tea and instant coffee (yuck). Cooked breakfast was available for a reasonable charge. The full veggie was pretty good. People with disabilities or dodgy knees might want to ask about their room location as the stairs are steep.

We were visiting Leeds for our daughters university graduation, the Holiday Inn Express was perfect in every way. The room was beautifully clean, there was a spacious bathroom, a tv and comfortable beds. It had everything we could possibly require. Right down or an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, even a kettle and tea and coffee. There was parking on site. The staff were lovely, and the breakfast superb. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel.

We've stayed here many times and for our personal convenience it's ideal. The hotel has a nice swimming-pool and sports facilities, well maintained and very clean. Some areas of the hotel were looking worn, especially on the staircase. The room we had this time was clean and had an ironing-board and iron with a wide-screen tv -- which we found extremely difficult to operate as there was no manual or written instructions! We had to ask Reception to send someone up to show us how to operate it! It has USB and HDMI connections. The bed was comfortable and tea and good quality coffee provided with nice size mugs! We'd booked with Agoda but paid the hotel. We were told that due to lack of vacant rooms we had to have a family room -- at extra expense. However, we only had a 'double' room and I'm not sure if I have to take up the difference with Agoda or the Hotel! Lovely grounds but unfortunately very few rooms overlook them. There is a restaurant and bar but due to the many wonderful restaurants in Leeds I've not eaten there for many years. Very handy access out of Leeds to visit York, Harrogate, the moors, Knaresborough, etc., etc. It's a popular venue for weddings and the three days we were there there were three weddings -- but this didn't bother us. They've automated booking-in with computer screens and consequently only have ONE person on the Reception Desk! The young man on the day shift was run ragged and was constantly trying to attend to a queue of four or more people with problems/queries every time we passed! He did a terrific job but no one likes waiting for more than 10 minutes just to have a problem resolved! This was totally inadequate and something needs to be done there! It's expensive for the value of rooms but there are few other hotels with adequate parking available and in a convenient position so . . .!

i stayed at residence with my wife for 2 days in jun 2012. the place is bigger than the typical hotel room and is well-furnished with a small stove and toaster. it was a nice touch that some complimentary food (such as bread, jam, etc) was provided as part of the welcome package and we felt at home. there may be scope to improve the floor though, as it sounds creaky when we walked over part of it.

Staff was incredibly helpful. We ran into a number of delays on our way there and all it took was a phone call to secure our room and a way into the hotel, even though we only managed to get there at 1 am! Simple check-in and check-out, clean and comfortable room, located near pubs, a convenience store and a beautiful park. The whole neighborhood was lovely and quiet, with easy comutes to the center of Leeds and a quick walk to the station. I was quite satisfied overall.

We went to Leeds for the first time to see Ed Sheeran at Roundhay Park which was fantastic. We stayed at Crowne Plaza and from the start the welcome from Erin was warm and very well organised. Although early Erin suggested if we went back about 1pm she would do all she could to get our room ready, whilst also being honest it was early than normal check in time. 1pm returned beautiful room allocated and the cleaning staff had done a fab job . Room was big , spotless,, light and airy. Organisation to give us details to get to Roundhay and what to look for if the weather got rainy was faultless , the hotel were ready to help muddy boots and all. Breakfast was tasty well presented , fresh with loads to choose from. Our only criticism was the coffee in the room was tasteless and the one at breakfast was not brilliant, but that would not stop us returning , already planning a return . Staff across the hotel were so lovely and a real passion for the hospitality business, refreshing change .

I"v stayed here several times over the past few months while working in Leeds and Waterloo Court has been an ideal place to stay. The apartments are well proportioned, comfortably furnished, and well equipped. The kitchen means it's easy to pull together a meal, there's a small Sainsburys a couple of minutes walk away, at the same time there ore plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. I especially liked RARE(5 minutes away on Briggate) and Ciao Bella ( next door to the apartment).Hotels in Leeds can be expensive and noisy (it's a real party city especially at weekends), in comparison the apartments offer fantastic value for money AND are very quiet. The staff are very helpful and considerate. Highly recommended.

Very warm and accommodating rooms, the only issue that taps in the bathroom are out of place or wrong type - as always typical British type - 2 separate for hot and cold water plus they so tiny that I couldn't put my hand to scoop a water. The restaurant setting looks a little bit too cheap for the restaurant but great for breakfast serving. You cannot complain about food served as for breakfast as for dinner.

when we arrived at the hotel there was a mix up with our room and we got a twin room rather than a double room. we rang down to reception and immediately got an apology and our room was changed to a double. the double room was lovely; really comfy bed and enough space for me and the boyfriend. nice size and fantastic value for money. the night we stayed inches of snow had fallen. the staff were pleasant and more than helpful. calling taxi's for us to get around leeds and they really couldn't do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. peaceful location, lovely grounds and good facilities. would definitely go back

Our yearly visit to Leeds and second time staying at this hotel. Hotel is faultless other than location, it was freezing and it’s about a mile walk into town so after walking into town on arrival it was taxis after that which was a shame cos normally we like to walk obviously this is no fault of the hotels. The hotel itself is very modern and comfy with a kitchen if you prefer to cook, breakfast was complimentary with choice of pastries and fruit plus a coffee machine for hot drinks and a fridge with fruit juice etc all complimentary. Overall it was an exellent weekend the hotel is superb just means getting wrapped up or taxis during winter months with it been slightly out of the centre
