Kotohira hotels & accommodations

Almost perfect except for its a bit far away from oboke station, but its free shuttle service to and from the station, even to another nearby hotel as in my case, got rid of the location problem. Once arrived in the hotel, the receptionist who i still remember her name, was so helpful not only explaining the hotel facilities and onsen usage, but also assisting us to pl...

Con: Location is off the JR station. it's an about 12 mins walking from the station and there's no bus (taxi are available). I don't know if it counts as a con since there's no other hotel is like "right beside" the station in Kotohira, but as a traveler with a large size luggage I think I should point this out. Pro: 1) Facility is so great. Most people come to Kotoh...

I booked this hotel because I was unable to book a room in Takamatsu. If you plan to go to Oboke and Kotohira it could be an option to stay in Kotohira for a night. However hotel itself requires 15 min walk from JR Kotohira station and the small town doesn't offer a lot including restaurants and food at night. Room is clean and hotel itself is quite modern. There is a ...

The room was clean and comfortable, with a few mosquitoes/flies around but not quite a problem. This is a very traditional Japanese-styled hotel and it offers a great way to experience Japanese culture. This clean, modern hotel is in an attractive location, on the riverbank and with easy access to Kotohira-gu shrine. It is very close to the Kotoden station and an easy walk from the JR station. Our room was confortable, with a good view of the river. The included breakfast was very nice.

First of all the host is amazing, just so warm and helpful, good english too! The place is small as the description says, it was super clean, light and plug socket by the pillow which is always handy. Powerful hot shower. Right by a train station and right by one of the Shikoku pilgrimage temples too. Thanks so much!
