Isle of Wight hotels & accommodations
The location of this hotelwas ideal and the room (number 16), while being a little smaller than expected, was very clean and comfortable. The bay window gave us a beautiful view over the well-kept garden out to the sea. Tea/coffee, biscuits, shaving kit, toothbrush and bathrobes were provided, and the breakfast, served by a very cheerful young lady, was a treat. We def...
We lived in the antique house and the staffs helped us a lot. You can enjoy the holiday in the house. Definitely recommend it!
Perfect hotel for a one night stay in Shanklin. The staff were really friendly throughout our stay and made us feel welcome. The room had all amenities for a one night stay, including extra pillows. There was plenty of food at breakfast. We couldn't have asked for anything more, especially for the price we paid. Would stay here again if we come back to the Isle of Wigh...
Very ho hum, marginal value, we had two rooms both small, one smelled very strongly of new carpet and curtains enough to give me a headache. We stayed two nights rooms were tidied but the beds were not made, carpets not vacuumed, location very good, easy walk to the sea and restaurants. We are seasoned travelers and there is no doubt the Grange offers poor value. Shou...
All pros. We loved staying here. The room was spacious, and elegant. For us almost perfect. Danielle and her staff made the place. We strongly recommend and would certainly like to stay again.
Stayed here for a work trip. Hotel is decent. Room was modern with a nice clean bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was great! The hotel is very much for older tour groups so dont expect any young vibe here, they have bingo daily and some entertainment. For the area, its in a great location and easy to access the esplanade. On site park...
Stayed here for a few days. Hotel is in a perfect location, on the seafront walking distance to shops and restaurants and the pier. Hotel has a lovely indoor heated pool. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean. Would stay here again
Old style needs a major makeover. Disappointing.
There are numerous B&B hotels in Shanklin and from the outside, the Marlborough Hotel doesn't look particularly special. However, once inside I was struck by the cleanliness of the place and freshly painted walls. Our room was on the top floor, which was quite a few flights of stairs up and unfortunately the wi-fi reception didn't get all the way there....they should i...
This hotel have lovely location and the staff are friendly and helpful
Generally very good, clean, comfortable hotel but floors and walls paper thin so couldn't sleep at all with people walking or moving or talking overhead. Probably much better on upper floor but I was sharing with my 11 year old and was with another friend and her 11 year old and had asked for 2 twin bedded rooms which I didn't realise are only on lower floor. It was th...
Stayed at the Abdingdon Guest Lodge for one night when going to The Isle Of Wight Festival. The room was spotless and very comfortable, good off road parking and quiet location not far from Ryde Harbour, 5 minutes on a bus or a steady 15 minute walk through the main high street. We arrived super early and really appreciated early access to our room for a quick change ...
As the title says, we had a perfect one night stay at the Crown Inn whilst visiting Cowes and Osborne House. Very friendly staff (we met 3 ladies who were all helpful and always smiling!) Lovely cosy room, everything worked and the shower was a good shower - not one you have to move round in to get wet! Great location and as the staff said there is free parking (afte...
Stayed for 3 nights with my son and we loved it. The owners are so friendly and chilled and you are made to feel very much at home. There is plenty for kids to do, table tennis, table football, pool, swimming pool and board games. The location is great, the views from our room were amazing. You can come and go as you please, sit in the lovely garden while kids spla...
The Fountain in a perfect location right in the middle of Cowes. The rooms, although small, have everything you need. Ask for a room on the top floor at the back or side of the hotel, as the pub over the road can cause a little noise at throwing out time, if you are on a lower floor at the front. The food is excellent..both dinner and the included breakfast. Staff are...

Pleasant stay. Clean but slightly dated furniture and decor. Fairly limited dinner menu but food ok.
from check in until check out every thing was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make you welcome and see that every need was attended to.Every member of the team was pleasant and helpful the furnishings were that of a Genteel Country house making the atmosphere in period,I would definitely stay there again and thoroughly recommend for a quiet stay with excel...
The location is very good, only 5 mins to the beach. The stuff are very nice and helpful. There is a indoor swimming pool near the hotel. Great place for relax in Shanklin
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean.
Nice hotel as long as you don't end up in room 9. En-suite shower room was a bit bigger than a large wardrobe.
Gooda at: -Near bus station -full of restaurants around -near supermarket & post office -nice breakfast -nice & clean & comfort living area & bed, feel likes home To be improved: -limit hair dryer -no longer luggage storage after check out
The Havelock is ideally located in Shanklin, a short distance from the Chine, the seafront and the Old Town with plenty to see and places to eat. It’s also possible to leave the car behind and arrive by the quirky Island line 1940s underground train, which is 10 min brisk walk away. It’s not a cheap hotel but you do pay for the location. Amenities include a heated pool...
The location of this hotel is absolutely fabulous, but it's a shame that it has such a dated interior and has such poor, bleak appearance. The first room that's been given to us had an unflushed toilet, a dirty cup in the bathroom sink and traces of sand in the bath tub. Luckily we've been given another one. The coffee was weak and the cooked breakfast was badly made. ...
Booked the hotel because it was the nearest to Wroxall - a place we were visiting. Very clean, staff friendly and the room was upgraded. Great!
our room was vast and spotless, a nearby park for dog walks and adequate (free) parking in front, and Judy booked our ferry at a discount!
The hotel located in a very good location since almost every room face the seaview. You can just open the window and let the air flows in to enjoy the beach and sea atmosphere. The size of the room was quite big. It has tall roof, however the hotel is a bit old. Opposite side of the hotel was a game center. The staff was kind. The breakfast was proper but too small si...
Booked this as we wanted to be close to the centre, we contacted the hotel direct and the owners were very polite and helpful, this was extended when we arrived. Lovely clean room plenty of space and free to come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. No hesitation in staing again.
Excellent home, staff. Andrea was amazing and always available. Such a lovely place to stay. JD
A very friendly, polite, courteous establishment. The room was perfect and the views from the room were just stunning. A late and welcome lunch was of very good quality and substantial size, while the full English breakfast had a wide range of choice and was very substantial. Service was first class from all of the staff however we must mention Alex who looked after us...
Cheap places to stay in Isle of Wight
We received a warm welcome, had a large comfortable room with panoramic views of the sea and excellent food.
Great value for money. Conveniently located near restaurants and a short walk from the beach. However, be warned: the desk is not manned at certain hours. We got back around 11:30 at night but didn't realize that the staff went off duty at 10PM (it was posted, but not as obviously as it should have been). Luckily one of the staff members happened to be around but repri...
The place is beautiful and we got a nice sea facing room. Staff is very accommodating and nice to talk to.
Currently undergoing some renovation although this does not interfere with guests. Run by a fantastic , friendly family.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean.
The Braemar is in a side street just near the 'Old Village' of Shanklin, a good location for pubs, shops, restaurants and bus stops. The rooms are clean and attended to daily, replenishing the linen and ample tea & coffee supplies. It is owned by a charming couple, who are very helpful and provide an excellent breakfast to set you up for the day. I would certainly stay...

Stayed here for a few days. Hotel is in a perfect location, on the seafront walking distance to shops and restaurants and the pier. Hotel has a lovely indoor heated pool. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean. Would stay here again
We spent a week here during the October 2017 half term. A clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff. The kids loved the pool and went swimming every day. Perfect location, can walk or take the lift down to the beach or take a stroll into the town to look around the shops or have a meal. We would use this hotel again

Martin and Vera are genuinely friendly people, you are welcomed as though you are long lost friends. That is completed by Chance the family dog who greets the guests with a big doggy grin.
Good, the breakfast was nice you have a small choice of cereal and fried breakfast. Some people had a vegetarian breakfast if you are looking for that. Overall a good stay

The hosts are very friendly, nice and helpful. There was a misunderstanding, and though they do not accommodate children below 16 years old, they still let me and my 8-year-old daughter stay.
