"Booked this best rated hotel in Hyuga, staff in night shift can speak pretty good English so we are pleasant. The room looks ok, they don’t have disposable slippers nor sterilized slippers but only give you sth like in-sole to stick on, which is pretty awkward. However, worst thing happened in the bathroom!! When I closed the door, I saw a lot of stain on the door that I don’t even want to hang my clothes on the hook. That’s not the end of the story. I go shower in this standard small size bathroom, when I close the shower curtain, I.WAS.SHOCKED! Again, mold everywhere on the shower curtain!! For the bed, the blanket sheet was white color, but the blanket is beige, first time seeing beige color blanket in a hotel. I’m not dare to think too much, just hope that it’s the original color. I can’t imagine seeing such dirty hotel in Japan and will not go back again!!!"

"The location is great right by the sea. There is a nice cafe/restaurant next to the annex - which has the rooms. The room is a little old with bunk bed (I was the only guest in it). Functional for one night stay. There is a shared kitchen which has all facilities, shared bathroom (shower only) and shared tatami room with tv. I had problems connecting to the wifi which couldn’t be solved and rather inconvenient. I speak Japanese fluently but no solution. Summary, ok for the price as a short one night stopover while driving from Miyazaki to Kumamoto. "

"We checked in very late so dinner at the hotel's restaurant. We ordered two set dinner with main course of sashimi and fried chicken at total JPY2,700 which was a very reasonable price when compared to those local restaurants. However, disappointing with the breakfast. Only few kinds of Japanese food with very small portion pre-set on plates. Free parking was good."
