"This was just a stopover for me, so I was only in need of a basic room. This place turned out to be more stylish and modern than most business hotels, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had washers/dryers. There is also a public bath/sauna that looked pretty nice but I was too tired to use it. It was also very helpful to me that a huge supermarket was next door. The staff was courteous, but my only criticism is they were overly flustered by the fact that I only speak basic Japanese—I've traveled extensively in Japan and that only rarely happens. I also have to say that the town of Notogawa seems to be a pretty dreary little place (except for the cute girl working at the Mr. Donut. She was a sweetheart!)"
