Gdansk hotels & places to stay

Ok service, the rooms were clean and large. I had a private twin-bed. Sheets and room were clean, bed not the best but what can you expect. There weren't any towels so remember those yourself. Otherwise nice kitchen area where basic food can be made. A tv and sofa to relax in. The location is amazing. 10 min walk from the train station and only 2 min walk from the city center. A perfect place to explore Gdansk from. The shared toilet were clean and bathing area quite big. All in all a good stay.

Clean beds, and close to old town. Bedside light and charging point. Located about 15-20mins walk from main train station, 10mins walk to old town where cafes and restaurants are. 20m away from a supermaker. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Common area is the kitchen, for which guests can use, and it has a television in it. There is also a common computer for usage. There seems to be quite a few local long stayers in the hostel but did not socialise with them much. Made friends with other travellers instead.

Fantastic little place! The staff was amazing! Especially Olga. She is super helpful and really cares about the guests. This hostel is immaculately clean, which I really care about. Staff was there every morning, cleaning every corner. They have a very nice and big, bright kitchen and common room with free coffee, tea and cereal available 24/7. Towels, sheets and of course, wifi make this a great deal. The location is close to the train station and great cafes and the old part of town. Cannot recommend this place enough. Gdansk is beautiful and this is the place to stay when you are there.

Finding the hostel was super easy and the location was amazing. A lot of restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and mini markets nearby. All major tourist attractions were also walkable, but if you would like to visit places outside the city (i.e., Oliwa Park), then the tram and bus stops are also not far. The hostel was clean, the shower was lovely, and the 24 hour kitchen facilities were a plus! After a full day of walking it was nice knowing that a cup of tea is waiting for you back at the hostel. Recommended!

I wanted to love this hostel. Location is perfect, and it has all the little things you always wish a hostel had - toilets separate from showers, shelf in the shower itself, curtain creating a changing space outside shower, hooks for hanging your things, outlets, kitchen, strong WiFi, free lockers for valuables... but the staff were confusingly difficult to locate most of the day. When the right travelers find this place and staff warm up a little, the atmosphere should improve and it should be great.

Lovely place that is more like a hotel than a hostel. The room was big, and the bed was good. Only wished for a bigger pillow, but that's just a personal preference. The brekfast was worth the money, only 17 zloty per person. It is a continental brekfast, but there was a good selection of bread, cheese, ham, yougrt, cereal and vegetables. The location was great, right next to the city center and only a short walk to the train station. Higly recomend this place.

I settled on this hotel as it was one of the cheapest available, and was pleasantly surprised to find it is well maintained with clean rooms. Staff were polite, internet solid, and room/bathroom quite large for this price range. While it is in a quite remote location (around 30zl taxi to the city), there are regular buses at the nearby bus stop, that take you straight into the city for 3.6zl. Just make sure you stamp your bus ticket in the machine (after buying from driver), else you risk a fine.

enjoyed my stay there, even though it is a little difficult to go and get there by public transportation. The staff was very helpful and friendly. What I had expected was at least one English tv programme in case of a rainy day. Fortunately, I didn't need it. Loved the comfortable atmosphere, the bed alone was worth paying a little more than for a budget hotel room. Would ge there again, but with a car then.

Smooth check-in process and we got our keys even though we arrived early. Excellent, very beautiful two bedroom apartment for us travelling with kids aged 14, 4 and 3, one stayed in the sofa bed in the living room. Ikea-furniture in bright colors gave a smooth and stylish look, felt clean and new. 6th floor facing the next building with partial river view, I think it is best to stay on the side not facing the construction site on the other side. It was a brick road on the other side of the river where every car passing sounded like they passed just outside our window. Not a silent, tranquil apartment, but we did not hear much from other guests. They did construction inside our building as well and started quite early in the morning, not a big deal for us with small kids who wake up early, but could be an issue for people who like to sleep in. Great with a grocery store in the building complex which was open until 23:00 every night, where you could buy everything you needed including wine, liquor and food. 10 mins walk from the old city, a pleasant walk unless you wear high heels. Leave them at home, or wear wedges as the brick roads are though on heels, especially when you walk home at night in the dark in a not well lit road. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance; Tawerna, Goldwasser, Szafarnia 10, Wine & Bar Restaurant Literacka and Fellini were all great dinner and lunch options! Would probably book the same apartment again, loved the balcony for relaxing in the afternoon with a glass of wine.

THe Villa Akme is situated about 2 miles from the city centre, however the centre is easily accessed using trams 2, 6 0r 11 from a stop about 200 yards from the hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable and the family who run it are very hospitable. They provide a very good breakfast.Part of the hotel is on the top floor of an adjacent building with no lift, so travellers with disabilities should ask to stay in the main building.

The apartment was very nice and clean and in a great location - just 10 minutes walk from Old Town. If you do book this apartment, you need to collect the keys from the local office - I was not given the address in the confirmation and it is on a different road to the apartment (so make sure you have these details). Also an additional fee for cleaning was taken from me at the point of payment which was not included on the Agoda site hence the value for money rating.

This hotel is good for a short stay, but not so comfortable for people studying for a presentation. The room size is ok but unfortunately, the four rooms at each floor are so closely put together in a small, square corridor, so whenever somebody opens the door every noice is in your room. And the bed and the pillow is not comfortable. But the staff is so nice and only because of this reason you can choose this place. And also the location is not so far from the city center, only 3 tram stops away. But the good part is, the tram stop is very close.

Best location, just beside main street. Staff was so nice to let us leave our luggage earlier than check in, she doesn’t speak english so make sure to have a translator app. Hallways to apartment smells like mold and dust. And apartment could also improve on cleaning. Facilities good enough for a goodnights rest. You can feel the spring under the bed but its fine. They provided towels, toilet paper, complete kitchen utensils. Hair dryer doesn’t work. Had a miscommunication with airport transfer. Agoda and apartment have diff transfer companies. Better take Uber/taxi, way cheaper. Only 30-40pln 1 way from airport to main city. Overall good stay. Will come back.
