"The hotel is quite close to the train station (JR Fukui st.), about 10 min on foot. Walked to the hotel using Google maps on the Iphone. Perhaps you may want to put some signboards along the way to make the visitors find your hotel easily, since it isn't on the main road. The size of the room is a bit small for the money that we had to pay, but considering the location of the hotel which is quite close to the station, so I have nothing to say more. Nonetheless, the stay was a good one!"

"The customer service provided by the hotel is excellent! During our stay, we found that we have left something in a local restaurant. As we don't know Japanese, we need to seek help from the hotel. The receptionists have been very helpful and have done all they can do to help us, including calling the police, the restaurant, and arranging the the transfer of our stuff. They are very nice and helpful to provide hight quality service! The onsite facilities are excellent too! We will come back to Hotel Riverge Akenbono if we go to Fukui again!"

"This hotel is far from the train/bus station, if you have planned to go any POIs in Fukui by train, you need to walk 15min to catch a bus to train station. At first, I have to call for a cab because I wasn't sure my exact location. Cab is uncommon near hotel area. It took 30min of bus to reach Fukui Station, unless you rent a car, else please look for other places. Besides the location, this hotel is very clean, quiet, and value for money."

"The location of this hotel is excellent. It's right next to the Echizen Railway Station and within 2 minutes from JR Fukui. It's also less than 3 minutes from the bus stop so it's perfect if you're coming by the Hokuriku bus. The rooms were clean and the single room was bigger than your average Japanese sized rooms. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting Fukui."
