Cardiff hotels & accommodations
First visit to Cardiff with a day at Cardiff Castle the main attraction. The hotel was easy to find. The staff were, to a man, extremely helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast brilliant value for money with a delicious selection of hot and cold foods on offer. Minor niggles included the bath plug not working in one of the rooms ...
location is very easy to find after i got off from train station, just 2-3 mins walk to the hotel. i booked maldron hotel cardiff because it is also one of the best location for attending a concert at motorpoint arena. with completely hotel facilities and also free wifi throughout the whole hotel!
this hotel has become my favourite city centre hotel in cardiff. the main reason is the executive lounge on the 7th floor which looks out over cardiff castle. has an ok gym, pool and sauna. great location near st david's centre, queen street and cathays park. five minutes walk to central train station.can be a little noisy late at night as there are a few clubs around....
Helpful, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. We were let into our room early and our bags were looked after for us at the end of our stay. The room was comfortable, a good size with a good bathroom and a comfy bed. Despite being in the middle of Cardiff it is quiet and we were not disturbed by road noise. The location was perfect for anything you might want ...
This hotel is lovely, really nice, well looked after rooms with everything you would expect. The room was very clean. The hotel is within walking distance to the centre of Cardiff (about 15 mins) which makes it a great location to visit the attractions. The breakfast was amazing with everything you could want from cereals to a full Welsh breakfast. Coupled with the...
Very good location, 1-2 mins walk from Cardiff Central Train Station, and very near town centre. However, few things to take note: 1. Wifi is NOT entirely free. It’s only free for 30 mins (every 24 hrs) They Should have make clear in their booking page! 2. There is no fridge in the room 3. There is no SafeBox in the room 4. No toiletries given - bring your own
I stayed at Hotel One Hundred for 6 days and 5 nights. This is definitely a really lovely place which is near to Cardiff City Centre. The location is really convenient whereby there are pubs, takeaways and convenience store just right behind of the hotel. The decor in hotel is lovely and it feels just like home. Helene and the other staffs are really friendly at the ...
The hostel is very clean and tidy, it occupied the whole building similar to a motel or hotel. My 4 people room has its own shower and toilet, just likes a hotel room. It requires 15 min walk from the station, 15-20 min walk to Cardiff castle and city centre. Very comfortable and you won't regret to stay at this place.
Very well run hotel. Centrally located so it is only a short walk to either Cardiff Bay or the city centre.
We stayed here at th beginning of our UK/Ireland family vacation on a stop to see my boyfriensd's niece, husband and 2 children who live in Cardiff. This was a great midrange hotel for a family of 5 adults traveling together. Nice size rooms and friendly staff. A 5-10 minute walk to Cardiff Bay waterfront area with many choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Convenie...
We travelled up for a visit to my son at Cardiff Uni. The hotel is planted in amongst the city pubs and eateries, so is great if you're on foot. We have elderly parents with mobility considerations, so the location was ideal. Rooms and bedding are clean. Staff are very helpful. Decor is dated, and furniture looks a little tired, but for the price we were happy to compr...
Our stay far exceeded our expectations. We had never stayed in a hostel before so were a bit hesitant but we're delighted with our choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities included a wii, dvds, books, an ipad, speakers and a fully equipped kitchen. The toilet and shower rooms were modern and extremely clean. The beds were comfy but the single pi...
Wow what a hidden gem in the centre of Cardiff. The hotel is tucked away down an arcade in the middle of Cardiff ans is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in from the wonderfull rooms (best bathroom I have ever had) to the helpful staff. I have been trying to think of a negative for the hotel but I cant, well done Hotel Indigo see you in April.
Wonderful place to stay in Cardiff in an upscale part of town near (but not obtruded on by) the cricket stadium. Attractive and excellently maintained accommodations in a late 19th century Victorian row house, comfortable beds, friendly and knowledgeable but unobtrusive hosts, and excellent value. Full documentation and details about guest expectations, amenities, hous...
This hotel is supposed to be a top hotel in Cardiff., Its not. It feels like at best a 3 star hotel was very unimpressed. Thankfully only stayed a night. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is good however I would not stay again nor can I recommend it. Its way to expensive and not value for money.
This was a great place for our two night stop over in Cardiff. Unusual layout of the place and helpful staff made it all the more pleasant. The free extra bed for our 9-yr old kept the cost very low for a such a high standard of service.
my 15 year old grand-daughter was attending the Motorpoint Arena,. As we live out of town we decided to book in to a hotel and stay overnight. She went to the Arena and I stayed in the room with my feet up reading a good book. Centrally located, lovely rooms and friendly staff. What more could you ask for.
Cheap & cheerful, great location in central Cardiff. Slightly confusing check in at Sandringham hotel 1 min walk away, but no big deal
We had a nice family holiday. A lovely note was left in the rooms after cleaning from Cara who we didn’t know but it was welcoming , thanks Cara.
considering that the "star rating" system is a complete pack of lies in england (i.e. a 3 star in the usa gets 4 stars in england; a 3 star in england would only be a 2 star in the usa -- this is the norm for england, everywhere), we were very pleasantly surprised to find that when we stepped into wales the usual lies stopped - at least at this hotel. it was marked as...
Trust me to have to go to Cardiff on business on the same night as both One Direction and the Manic Street Preachers were playing! Thank goodness for the Nomad: it was great value, really friendly and so convenient on location.
the holiday inn cardiff is about ten minutes walk from the main central train station, on the edge of the shopping area and right by the millenium stadium and the historic castle. i was welcomed warmly, and, whilst small, my room was clean and had a bath as well as shower. the breakfast was well presented and ample, and although i had an early start, i had plenty of ti...
I was really pleased that I booked the Angel. I was in Cardiff for one of the Rugby World Cup matches, so you could not beat the location. There was loads of match related activity in the hotel including a local male voice choir singing - how brilliant. We also had a fire alarm go off and the hotel staff were cool calm and collected in dealing with the sleepy and grump...
Loved this room. I was in room 7.Had everything I needed.Lovely view from window , was able to sit in the chair in the window with the window open with a cup of tea watching the river. Didn’t hear a sound at night very peaceful. Bed comfy . Bathrooms were all 5 star super clean with lovely little thoughtful touchesTowels were very soft& new looking. Wi fi was great.Ver...
Great hotel, clean and nice. A little disappointed by the location, but this was also affected by bad research on my hand. Lesson of the day - do not underestimate the distance and overestimate the bus offer in Cardiff!
Lack of fresh coffee as part of the continental breakfast (included) was a personal disappointment but selection of teas was very good. Shower weak (top floor) but just about adequate to do the job. Request for quiet room was achieved by the helpful staff. We had one evening meal in the restaurant/bar which was much better than anticipated. Overall very good value ...
This hotel is ideally located for visitors to Cardiff Bay, within walking distance of the Millenium Center, the Bay and the Dr. Who Experience. Clean rooms and facilities. Clean rooms, friendly staff, a decent breakfast, location close to the airport and a bus (the T9) that runs directly into Cardiff means that The Holiday Inn is a good place to stay
From the outside doesn't look impressive, although I believe it's the oldest hotel in Cardiff, and as the reception is on the 2nd floor, after meandering through corridors for the lift or stairs (dependant on entrance used) slightly off putting, but once IN the hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. Large rooms (mine was a standard so the superiors must be mas...
I had an injury to my leg during my travels and the owner of the B + B personally took care of my needs from start to finish to make sure I was able to enjoy my stay. He carried my luggage and drove me to my Bus when I left town and I am not sure I could have done it on my own.

Hostel's location is great, you can go to shopping center and cardiff castle only 5minutes walk. Hostel also has free walking tour around cardiff to let us know more about cardiff history. Cardiff central station is only 10minutes walking distance too. The room is good with shared bathroom outside the room.

from the very first moment we entered ty rosa, paul and stuart could not have been more helpful. we had large suitcases, so were given a room upgrade because of this! this place is amazing. stuart sat down with us for almost an hour, telling us all about the city and highlighting things on a map. very welcoming. the room was lovely and cleaned to spotless daily. show...
It was very quick to find the Guesthouse and I was welcomed and shown to my room very promptly. I quickly made myself comfortable and my first use of the shower in my room was good but the light was not working and I was sure I could see some grime in the gaps between the tiles, but then I couldn't see very well. The night went undisturbed until a local resident made e...

One bedroom apartment very comfortable, Good location to all Cardiff has to offer, good price. Would go here again
Really great hotel , clean and spacious room, plenty of parking and nice food. WiFi was a little slow but otherwise no issues
We enjoyed our stay. Not the cheapest hotel but breakfast was good and staff very friendly. Bedside light was pathetic for reading at night!!
We had a fantastic stay, the one problem we had with the en suite was resolved quickly by the owner.
Had an "easy" time here in that everything I needed was to hand. Only 4 stars as the bed was not comfortable for me.

Well appointed accommodation, comfortable bed.. unfortunately we had a lower ground apartments. Where people walked by ,they could see into the apartment, as there is only a, see through net curtain, no drapes at all. Felt very uncomfortable, as had no privacy..

Beautiful city with enough to do for two full days with a well thought out programme. Recommend Cardiff Castle and Castle Coch.
Such a friendly and exhilarating place. The sun was shining which helped of course but I got the impression that Cardiff is a happy city even without sun.
Cardiff is a great pace to stay with plenty of shops, restaurants and Cafes, a great place to both relax and party.
Millennium Stadium was the most amazing Rugby experience I have had - there has been a few. The singing was amazing - the crowd oozed passion and were so wonderfully one-eyed, in the nicest ever way.
Overall a nice city. People are very friendly and all ready to give you help when you needed. Nothing much to do though in the city except the tour of the castle.
I went to Cardiff as a tourist. I was a bit of disappointed as I was looking for a good Welsh food to taste and experience the welsh ways of cooking food but I was not able to find any authentic restaurant that serves the real welsh food.
In the shopping complex close to St Queens Walk you must go to the perfume shop. the branded perfume is really cheap.
It is so different from London, visitors to the U.K. should not miss it. The castle is right in the centre of the city, sports facilities and events abound.
Cardiff is not only a good place for relaxation for outdoor activities, it is also an ideal for learning, dining etc.
