"Just back from a weekend stay and apart from the weather, cannot fault this hotel. Location is perfect, away from the noise of central Blackpool and although only parking for about 5 cars, there was parking on a side street. Room was spacious and very clean with 2 large arm chairs which is uncommon in our previous visits to other hotels in Blackpool. Staff were very friendly and food was really good with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back later in the year and hopefully get nicer weather."

"Came for illuminations, the hotel is dated as you can see from the photos, but we had not come to inspect lampshades for dust, I had brought my 7 year old to enjoy the illuminations. Tram Stop directly outside, 24 hour parking for £3 in hotel car park, Room was tired and so were we so had a lovely nights sleep in the comfy bed which had clean sheets. We had the breakfast which was good and varied. If your wanting luxury and to laze around in the hotel room all day then I would book elsewhere , but if you prefer to spend on activities what you have saved on the hotel then I would book here, if your kids notice that the hotel is a little tired then I think that they will notice that blackpool is too."

"This hotel is lovely both inside and out, the architecture is fab. The rooms are comfortable and basic but reflect the price. Based in a quiet location on the sea front away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool but within a short walk away. The bedrooms and bathrooms feel a bit tired there were a few flys and some mould around the bath handles. The rooms are comfortable and well kitted out. The pool, gym and facilities were good. Breakfasts = great food for all from cooked breakfast/cereal/continental. Staff are happy ang helpful. We enjoyed our stay "

"The street view and position could put people off but don't be. Once you step through the beautiful front doors and go up the wide staircase to reception on first floor you're in another world. The staff are friendly, cheery and efficient. It's a hotel with age but it has charm, it's unique, a little bit quirky but our bed was comfy, the room was warm, plenty of lighting, generous supply of tea, coffee, sugar & milk on tray. A mini fridge if required, large TV. Perfectly adequate en suite with shower over bath - and every inch was clean. The breakfast was one of the best as the cooked element was so fresh. The chef cooks in small batches and replenishes the display so that nothing sits around which is so pleasing. My egg was perfect, the bacon tasty. Parking very limited but there's a taxi rank outside and it's easy to drop off and unload then park at a nearby working men's club for £2 per night. The hotel is so central and is of an era when parking was not the norm. There is a lift."
