Great Service and Food!”
We have been staying for 4 nights this early November 2022. The food is great, even though some 90% are the same every morning, 10% of them changes, some different jelly, bread, soup (rawon, soto, ...). They are some Indonesia specialty from bubur, pecel, gado2, rawon, soto. fried rice, friend noodle, .. and some internationals like small sausage, a couple chinese cuisines, bread, jelly, salad, omelet, .. The coffee is great here. The room shows the age but still very functional and the greatness of a 5 star hotel in the past. I asked them to replace the toilet seat since the surface was peeling in a few places and fixed the safety box. They did it right away! However, everything else is perfect, huge drapery, huge room, great bed, clean carpet, clean bathroom (shower and bath tub), a special counter for the baggage. The front desk, room service, breakfast service, ...and all are very courteous and prompt. Thank you! Very close (5 mins driving) to all you want to do for shopping and dining! Very close to the famous Rawon Setan restaurant and Tunjungan Plaza 1-6

Great hotel”
This hotel is an old hotel, one of the first 5-star hotels in Surabaya. Since it is no longer under the Hyatt group, looks like the standard is not as high as the Hyatt. The new management still tries to maintain a high standard, but we can see some areas are still lacking for example the cleanliness and facilities. The breakfast is OK, although it needs some improvements in terms of taste and presentation. The coffee and tea station is great. The salad perhaps must be provided separately between each vegetable's contents, so we can choose the contents of our salad. The staffs are very nice and friendly. Overall it is a very good hotel to stay in. I would definitely come back again to stay at this hotel.

Best hotel I've ever stayed in!!! ”
In my career traveling and working for companies all over the world I have stayed and literally thousands of hotels around the world and none of the hotels can compare to Bumi Surabaya hotel. The hotel does not treat you just ask and occupant but treat you as a family member. If they allowed more stars I would give it more. The staff the service the cleanliness of the room, I could go on and on but by now you should get the point. Bumi Surabaya hotel is truly the best

Great comfortable stay ”
The staff were amazing and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel has a grand feel to it and was full of artwork and displays. The buffet breakfast and dinner was very nice, a good variety of different cuisines and well worth trying. It's an oldie but a goodie.

Oldie but still goodie”
This hotel has been around for decades! From memory, it was the first 5-star hotel in Surabaya (Hyatt Bumi). Every time we stay here, we always end up in very old room. It's clean and everything, but very old. This current one didn't even have the in-room safe anymore. Apparently there are newer, renovated rooms, but we've never seen them, maybe because we always pay heavily discounted price from one of those cheap hotel sites. The breakfast at Arumanis is always really good, although after COVID, the range and quality went down significantly. Service is still top notch though. Every time we ring to ask for something, their response time is always very quick. Every one of the staff is always very courteous. The gym equipment is probably as old as the hotel, but still functional - there was regular member of the gym when I was there making a comment that whoever bought the equipment had passed on long ago. LOL!

I really impressed and satisfied with the experience while i stayed in Hotel Bumi. The room was great, clean, spacious, and it has pool view. The service from the employees were great and helpful. The meal (breakfast) was good and it has various menu.

Helpful Staff”
The staffs at Bumi Surabaya were friendly and helpful especially to Mr. Koko for helping me with special "drink" when I have a stomach discomfort. The room and bathroom are big. I love the surrounding areas with lots of trees.

3 Weeks in Surabaya Bumi”
A great hotel. I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks in august. Rooms are ver clean and quiet with a large bed in which you fall asleep very well and quickly. Breakfast has a lot of choice and plentiful. In the afternoon you can relax at the swimming pool. Particularly noteworthy are the employees, who fulfill every wish in a very loving and friendly manner. ( Thank you so much Nyoman, Muad andTaufik) Thank you Bumi. 1. Garden : i could go to meetings and unwind in the garden. The garden is huge and well taken care of. 2. Breakfast buffet : the hotel believes in good breakfast makes someone's day. 3. A nature lovers five stars hotel”
My first visit to the hotel was dinner buffet last year, it was amazing experience but sadly I found their spread this time is not as amazing as last year visit The hotel even quite old but the facility is good, I have everything I need, their pool is extraordinary. I just feel a but uncomfortable when I did check in that in other hotel I used to end up add another night this time I just want to go home. Different with check in my out experience was more pleasant, the restaurant manager was really nice the staff though need more a cheerful training ...all and all for 5 stars I think they could do better because I just had a 4 star experience in Yogyakarta and it was amazing

A place like home”
Room was huge and comfy, doesn't really feel like a hotel room. Staff were all super friendly. Breakfast choices was too much that you can't even stomach everything, best of it was all was delicious. Everything was great and i will definitely choose this hotel again whenever i am in the city.

Excellent hotel”
Best hotel in Surabaya. The room is VERY SPACIOUS. Far more spacious than most 5-star hotels. Air conditioning is very good, the windows are clean. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very comfortable. Bathroom and showers are excellent, and also very spacious. Water pressure is good, and water temperature is very good. Excellent breakfast, the best nasi goreng ever. Very complete breakfast, all delicious and all very fulfilling. The quality of breakfast is very excellent, better than most 5-star hotels. Very nice swimming pool and very nice gym facilities. Excellent staff that are all very friendly, better than most 5-star hotels in big towns such as Jakarta and Surabaya. I would like to compliment Mas Joe and Mas Nyoman as managers, and also Mba Nenny in reception, for their excellent service during my multiple visits to the hotel. Location is close to the city, which is very good.

Bumi Surabaya City Resort, indeed, the best accomodation while visiting and staying in Surabaya. Hotel with style that surrounding greenery in city center of Surabaya, really give space for relaxing after hectic schedule. Room is big space with big bathroom separate shower, toilet and bathup. My room was city view!!! Breakfast is standar but with variation for options to enjoy local foods or western. Staff is really helpfull and friendly easily assist the customers needs. Parking is big space in door or outdoor and free. Really place worth for money and to enjoy staycation.

Old but gold”
The hotel might be old, but they never compromised their maintenance and quality in their facilities. The room is a bit American style, rather dark without lamp attached to the middle of ceiling but it was okay for me. Gotta love the breakfast and plenty variety for it.

A true Indonesian taste of comfort.”
The room is very nice and clean, the bed is big and comfortable. First time in here and always looking forward for the breakfast because of people reviews that say it's the best hotel breakfast. Although it's true that the taste of the food is delicious, unfortunately maybe because of covid and it's on weekday, there were less variety of food. There were only fried rice, omelet, sausages, porridge, soto ayam, fruits, bakery, cereals, juice. It still a pleasant experience to enjoy the breakfast because the foods were tasty. Great fried rice, perfect silky omelet (medium inside, well done outside), savory soto. Hope next time I can get the true Hotel Bumi Resort breakfast like how the people review it (lots of variety).

Its our 2nd staycation in Bumi and i thought it was fantastic place to be and stay experience be like wow. All staff were accomodating, friendly and courteous with a smile on their faces each time we met. Complete facilities and impress of all Kudos to the team on their effort at our simple honeymoon decor room and arrangement by Ms Mega of birthday cakes to send my wife exactly during midnight touches me. She also go beyond extra mile by giving us two bottles of Jamu drinks during our breakfast before our departure. Kudos BUMI for having us. Looking forward for another stay with YOU soonest.

My Second Home in Surabaya.”
Very recommended hotel to stay. Very big and luxurious. Easy to get taxi and just few minutes away from Tunjungan Plaza Mall. Breakfast are varieties and delicious. For me, this hotel is perfect and definitely stay here again in the near future.
