Only stayed one night as we had booked a hotel for the week, but I was told about this place and wanted to have a look. Will definitely stay longer next trip to Bali. Eco Stay is an oasis of peace on the southern slope of a mountain, far from the madding crowd, in harmony with nature and the local village. They grow their own organic produce, has an excellent restaurant with views to die for and six or seven bungalows secluded from each other, each set in verdant green gardens. The property has its own stream, a twelve metre waterfall with plunge pool, mountain springs with crystal clear water that you can drink from the tap. John, the owner, is committed to the local culture and treats the staff as family. A truly refreshing and harmonious place for those seeking soil revival amongst lush gardens and rice paddies. Did I mention it's 500 metres above se level, cool breezes, no need for aircon ...

Great attentive staff. Had a yoga instructor for yoga lessons for the week. Their own exstensive veggie and herb garden for all meals. Accomodation views and comfort were amazing. Massage was to die for. My girlfriend who is a masseuse high end clientele in New York also agreed. Iam achef so if you are expecting high end favours don't. Because food is beautiful simplistic and sop so so fresh. meals Salads and drinks are awesome.all out of the garden You can swim in waterfalls or streams all the water is drinkable rare for Bali. This place is a healthy tropical paradise. Should be called Bali Eco retreat. Wonderful place. Only negative is take your own coffee they need to use plungers as ground local coffee is poured Into cup and you get a thick sludge on bottom of cup.

Truly Utopian Experience ”

Bali Eco Stay is a dream like place - wonderful nature, excellent foods, and extremely hearty staff. Waking up with birds singing, strolling paddy field and rain forest - it is a wonderful place to relax and you will feel naturalized and revitalized again.

Beautiful place, good food and friendly staff ”

Really nice to escape the Bali tourism for a few days. We have enjoyed Bali eco stay a lot. The food was great and the staff was very kind. Definitely would like to return one day.

The Bali Eco Stay truly is Eco friendly place making their own Electricity, growing own vegetables, fruit and salads. Also own free range eggs. Owner took time to come and spend some time with all the guests. Thanks Johnny. Well done

Wonderful, nature-connected experience”

Absolutely wonderful location. The drive itself is through beautiful, small villages and past verdant rice paddies. Our open-air room had sunset and rice paddy views and was next to an extraordinary waterfall whose roar created a sense of being fully connected to nature. The food was some of the best we had in Bali.

Perfect for relaxing”

Lovely place integrated to nature. We stayed in the waterfall room which is extremely beautiful! Spacious, clean, and all open which gives you an amazing view of the waterfall and the whole green area around it. The whole resort is full of nature and astonishing landscape everywhere you look. It is extremely relaxing and a perfect place to go for if you are looking to relax and get away from "life" a little bit. We've only stayed one night so we couldn't really enjoy all the resort has to offer. We did, however, have a couple's blessing ceremony at the resort's waterfall and it was a unique experience. All the staff was extremely helpful and kind. Our ceremony was all coordinated by the owner, John, who has also been very kind to us from even before booking with them. All of the food is freshly picked and cooked and so a paradise for everyone who enjoys eating a bit of everything. The menu is vegan-friendly but also suits those who may have a more restrictive diet.

We could not fault this resort, we stayed for 2 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Everything we needed was provided, nothing has been overlooked. The view from our bungalow was of the rice paddies and from the restaurant you could see the ocean. Everything on the website is just as it is . Because of the remoteness you could only eat at the resort restaurant and the food was fresh and delicious. All the staff are so helpful and attentive. We can not recommend this resort highly enough. It is totally self sufficient which also makes it very special. We will be encouraging all our friends to stay there. It had the best wifi that we have had all thru our trip. Even when the power was of for a few hours thru the afternoon it was great to sit back and watch the storm roll thru.

Exceptional”

The most incredible place we stayed in our month long trip. Even though I ended up very very ill, John & his beautiful team took such incredible care of our little family. We had the most beautiful picnic at the private waterfall, took some beautiful walks through the surroundings, ate the most fresh and delicious food, had a tour through the permaculture gardens, swung on the big swing, played pool and had a generally peaceful & wonderfilled time. It’s an absolutely magical paradise and I would recommend it 1000000% to anyone and everyone.

Tranquility”

It was amazing place to stay if you want to get out from your busy and hectic lifestyle. My friend and I were the only young guests from Australia. The staff were extremely helpful. The food was so healthy. It is highly recommended to use their driver service because the place is not easy to find.

Lost in Paradise”

Wonderful we could wind down relax read watch nature from or daybed but if you do not want to do that there are many options to pursue.The menu takes your diet into consideration and the food was excellent. We will definitely stay there again

hidden gem”

It's a haven of wildlife, lush views, it's heavenly peaceful and our luxury lodge being exposed to the elements was gorgeous. Great food, staff, and facilities. Try the stone massage!

Overhyped ”

Food was delicious and kitchen staff very attentive. But room and facilities look better online. Reception staff unhelpful and unwelcoming.

Acceptable”

Beautiful nature, nothing else. Managment - not existing to host the guests. This is done by the kitchen staff. Trekkings - since it is done in the rice fields, everything is wet and muddy. They could invest in boots for the guests. Road -since the property exists since 2010 and the owners have opened 2 or 3 new properties in the area, he should invest in at least last 3 km of the road to his place.Accomodation - very nice, but since humidity is high, rain, spring, everything is wet and after 2 days it starts to stink, especially bed cover, towels and sheets. They could at least dry this every second day. Food - ufff! They claim to have nothing but organic, home grown fruits and vegetables. This is a lie. Every day we have seen delivery from the local supermarket that delivered watermelon!!! Breakfast is too small even for children and majority of fruits is represented by watermelon. I specifically asked every day for more food or a bigger portion but got nothing. Not felt wellcome
