Rooms with balcony in Yogyakarta Airport

"We took a bit of a stab in the dark with staying in Yogyakarta as no one we knew had been there or knew about any of the sights. I had seen a documentary about Borobudur however and was determined we were going to see it. We chose the hotel purely on reviews and to be honest, the reviews do not do the place justice! There were many safety procedures as we arrived and in one way felt it was a little over the top but then realised during our first day how much it was needed. Safety and security at the hotel was very important and we felt happy to be staying there! We arrived at night so went straight to our room, the room was large as well as the bathroom and the balcony had a lovely night view of the swimming pool. When we woke up in the morning we were completely blown away with the view of Mount Merapi in the distance. The view from our room didn’t quite match the one from the breakfast area/restaurant where we were literally stopped dead in our tracks. The hotel certainly feeds off the volcano as an attraction point with big floor to ceiling windows and balcony areas so you can stare in awe. The first day we wanted to explore a little of Yogyakarta itself but were soon stopped in our tracks. The taxi driver we ordered from the hotel tour guide wouldn’t leave us to explore and instead insisted on showing us around the tourist shops etc via car. The distance between the places were no in walking distance and it soon became apparent we needed a car for many reasons so were grateful. Yogyakarta is trying to be a creative hub and there are many artistic marks on the city, sadly the place is not exactly “tourist friendly” yet but it is a very authentic Javanese city and we are glad we visited the area. The next two days we booked a driver from the hotel to take us to Borobudur and Prambanan the first day and Ketep Pass the next day to see Mount Merapi close up. Our driver Agung was fantastic, he was very friendly and made the few hours we had in the car each day go a"

"There was no difficulty to find Wisma Aji as it located on Ringroad utara. Easy to check in, the staffs were very helpful. We have room 103 on second floor in front of the pool. The bedroom, bathroom were clean. There were king size bed and 2 other bed below which can be used for family with two children. The pool was great. The breakfast was so-so, better then nothing. Although the laundry was expensive compare with if you bring your clothes to laundry place outside the hotel. Overall, we're very satisfy during our stay in Wisma Aji and will recommend this hotel to my friend n family. We, for sure, will go back to Wisma Aji if we visit Yogyakarta."

"so far i am don't have any complaint with this hotel. Just keep and make better service and improvement. i will recommend that the hotel should provide a free airport tranfer - as your hotel not too far from the Yogyakarta airport. Also for tourist guest - i will recommend you also to provide a regular shuttle between hotel and down town. "

"Since I made my booking with Agoda, I've never called Jayakarta Yogyakarta for further confirmation. I just wrote that I need airport transfer,clean and non smoking room, close to swimming pool, etc. And voila! Right after arrival to the airport, one of the staff has put on sign bearing my name for airport pick up! All the way to the hotel, the friendly staff warmly give us advice and directions (upon my questions). Check in was also easy and friendly, and early check in was available. During my stay here, I've never seen any staff who is not friendly,courteous, and helpful. Some of the staffs even always greet me by name. Its a wonderful welcoming experience by the staffs.Thanks! We got the room exactly according to my request. We're situated on room #321, which is right next to the stairs to the swimming pool and the restaurant, and just the same level with the lobby (the nearest). The room, although outdated in facilities, but very clean, with comfortable bed, with nice bathtub and shower. Hot water was never lacking. No leaking pipes or drains, no smell. Bathroom amenities although limited, but we can always ask for more bathtub gel, toothbrush, hair dryer for free. Hotel sandal weren't free though, so be sure not to take it home (they'll charge you if you do). The swimming pools were great and a real heaven for kids. The have variety of pools, and all cleaned up every morning. Breakfast has limited variations, but some of the meals especially the Javanese cuisines were nice. Overall our stay has been satisfying. The staffs really put much effort to make sure our stay is comfortable. They had the attitude of making one feels welcomed. Thank you for our wonderful experience!"

"I love how it is cheap price, but priceless hospitality of the host. They tried their best to make our stay memorable and relaxing. Cons is the wifi arent strong enough to use inside the room, so videocall nor internet browsing is difficult It would be more homey if they include bfast too. But I recommend this for a night or two, especially it is near airport. 😊"
