My partner and I stayed on Orchid Cruise 3 for 3 days and 2 nights, and we could honestly not fault this cruise if we tried. Everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms were well beyond our expectations and included all the necessities (kettle. complimentary tea and coffee, toothbrushes, etc). You could also take a bath with the most beautiful view. All our activities were very well planned - from hiking to Trung Trang cave, to biking around Viet Hai village, and kayaking around the bay. The weather was a little gloomy and there was a little rain sometimes, but our crew was ready with raincoats and umbrellas. Jerry, our cruise manager, even shifted the itinerary for us so that we could kayak for a bit longer, as they knew that it would be extremely foggy and dangerous to go the next day, but wanted us to have the full experience. We also got to learn how to make spring rolls, and try snake wine and rice wine, which was a very interesting experience. Food on the cruise was plentiful and delicious. There was a buffet lunch when we arrived, buffet breakfasts, as well as a 5-7 course meal for lunch and dinner. Our waiters - David, Sunny, and Kent were all so attentive to our needs. The kitchen staff also accommodated all our dietary requirements perfectly. We can't thank the Orchid 3 Cruise staff enough for their hospitality and how friendly and helpful they have been. They've made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you to Jerry, Leo, Tram, David, Sunny and Kent (and everyone else who I didn't catch the names of) for all their hard work and for making us feel like royalty. We definitely, definitely recommend this cruise to everyone!

Loved our stay on this boat. The rooms are very spacious, beautiful & luxurious . We also got upgraded to the balcony suite, which is totally worth the extra bucks! Besides the boat being new and clean, it also goes to the "other" side of Halong which is not at all crowded and waters are clean and beautiful. There were not many other boats there, only some of the high end and more boutique ones! The views are just out of the world!!! Food was good too, but can be better. Very glad we chose this!! From staff, to location, to the rooms and service, no complaints !! A very memorable trip. Also, one night is quite sufficient, two is not required, you will be going back on the same route again if you stay another night.

Azalea Cruise Amazing! ”
We boarded the Azalea Cruise a couple of days after arriving in Hanoi. The company collected us in a luxury van and the ride was perfectly comfortable and scenic. The cabin is truly wonderful and there is nothing better than waking up to the amazing views of Halong Bay. Nothing is too much trouble and my children especially loved being able to jump off the back of the boat and an early morning canoe on the water. This was a very special trip to start off our family holiday in Vietnam. Would highly recommend.

The cruise was incredible from start to finish. The pick up car was comfortable and stunning car. The moment we stepped on the boat we realised how luxurious and stunning the boat was. The rooms were elegant and five star. The food was incredible with a 6 course dinner which was delicious. The activities were fun and well planned. I would recommend to everyone to do this cruise!

Bai Tu Short Bay”
This cruise was in Bai Tu Long Bay, which is on the quieter side of Ha Long Bay. It was recommended by another reviewer and we were certainly not disappointed on choosing this . It would seem the same to us if we didn't know and having such an awesome crew on board the Azalea was just the best decision. I was unlucky to arrive in Vietnam with a fractured foot and had to hobble around on crutches, although I was treated like a one legged god by the wonderful staff on board, what a great trip and you just have to do it. Azalea Cruise, your the gods.

Azalea cruise was a top of the line experience for ur family. A memory we will never forget. The rooms were spectacular and well maintained, the food was delicious and high end, and the staff was friendly and helpful with all of our needs. Completely cared for”
Beautiful! The archipelago lived up to every expectation, and we loved watching the islets floating by on our little private deck. Would highly recommend this trip, but maybe bring a flask if that’s your thing, the drinks were outrageously overpriced and dismally weak. The day trips to cat ba were beautiful, lush forests and wonderful hiking if you can sneak away from the group for a spell. A little more autonomy in the excursion would have been quite enjoyable, but overall the itinerary was full-enough to keep one occupied with plenty of downtime to relax. All in all, the staff were so friendly and the food was wonderful so it’s pretty hard to complain about much of anything!

A little bit of luxury ”
We had discounts and agoda cash to use so got a fantastic deal. This rooms are amazing and after months of travelling having a bath with the view of the islands was incredible! The staff are fantastic they catered for my dietary requirements brilliantly although for me they wanted to try feed me a little too much however that’s my personal issues and not against the service we received My only complaint would be that the day starts at 6am. I wanted a relaxing cruise and a good sleep in their amazing beds so actually opted out going out one of the days as it was just too early for me. Highly recommend this splurge for a bit of luxury while travelling

Amazing cruise, the service and staff are top notch, and always looking after the passengers. The rooms are amazing, everything on the boat is amazing! Activities are great, kayaking and cooking lesson were my favourites. My only suggestion would be to serve more traditional Vietnam food instead of (the good) fusion cuisine.

Same as a dozen other cruises”
The Orchid Trendy cruise shepherds you to all the same spots as dozens of other cruises at the same time as those other cruises. The Bay is beautiful and the rooms are nice with huge windows to allow you to enjoy the view from air conditioned comfort, but the activities are rushed, crowded, and disorganized. Onboarding is a little chaotic and hot, but they do well considering the constraints of having to ferry you to the ship. The food was good, but nothing great... it was often bland which you wouldn't expect given the excellent and flavorful food in the area. They charge you for water and soft drinks which is ridiculous ... charging for alcohol or specialty drinks is to be expected but charging for water is a bridge too far. Staff were thoughtful and helpful and the rooms were spotless. It was a good experience but I expected more for the money.

The cruise is medium size and price is mid range. Overall ok except the check in at the office is super messy and disorganized, need to improve as everyone isconfused due to many different cruise departing at the same time. Food is nice and well presented except the lack of variety for breakfast. Water is not provided which is ridiculous for each meal. Staff is overall friendly and pleasant. Room is ok except maybe a bit run down.

Perfect! Only two points need to be improved 1. The 2nd day course is somewhat boring. 2. The water in bathroom is small. To have a shower or bath is tough. Though reasonable to have low flow in the bathroom on a cruise, the price is incompatible with this facility. Overall, it is a wonderful trip even the two defects.

Alot of meals included with a great selection of food each time. Rooms were very clean, the only downside was that the Iterinary was quite boring compared to other cruise where they stopped at an island for a swim.

New luxury, exclusive cruise with great service ”
We chose Azalea because it is new (6 months old), beautiful, has less rooms than some of the others, and the departure port was closer to Hanoi (in Dinh Vu, which means less than 2 hours by car) than the others. The rooms were gorgeous, especially since we were lucky and got upgraded to the suites. The service could was outstanding, thanks to Hugo, Jennifer and everyone on the team. We really enjoyed the trip into the bay. The views were spectacular. The activities were all very enjoyable. The bay is a bit polluted in some areas, which is a bit of a shame. Everyone enjoyed the food and they did a good job catering to our dietary restrictions and allergies. We had to leave from another site as the traffic to the original site was backed up due to national holidays. But the team did what they can to get us onto the boat as quickly as they can. My only feedback is that they should have some shelter for the reclining deck chairs or to set up more lounge chairs in the shade.

the cruise was fantastic. service and crew were awesome. activities was fun. made new friends. only complain are the food and drinks. authentic Viet food was great but others not so great. more free water for the room would be great as well or even at meals. other than that everything was awesome. thanks martini and Jay and haha.
