Peaceful and very kind staff”

I stayed 2 days at Man's and I loved the hotel, the food at the restaurant and the staff!! I would have stayed a few more nights if I didn't have a flight to catch! The location in Pemuteran is great, a few minutes of walk from the beach and 15 minutes drive from the harbour to go to Menjangan. Highly recommended!

A quiet and private getaway with a lovely garden”

Man's Homestay was a diamond in the rough. There are beautiful gardens of flowers everywhere and I was very happy with my room, out-door shower and front porch! I am looking forward to a return visit. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, I felt as though I was saying goodbye to friends when I departed. Man's Homestay was precisely what I was looking for!

I ve had a lovely stay at Man's Homestay. Although I wasnt in Pemuteran for diving, the National Park is just down the road and the service was impeccable.

Resort like facilities at very reasonable price”

Man's was fantastic. Very good value. We stayed in the bungalow which was v. spacious, clean and everything worked well including wifi and air con. The pool is beautiful. The staff very attentive and seem to anticipate your every need. Quiet because the accommodation is 100m away from the main road. Easy access to the beach, a short distance away.

My daughter and I loved our stay here...the room was big enough and wonderfully clean, with an outdoor bathroom and the room was serviced everyday. The pool was deep and cool and we almost had it to ourselves most times we used it. The food was good at the restaurant and reasonably priced. It is a bit of a walk to the beach around 10 minute walk via the main road and laneways but you get to see the locals and their lifestyle. Make sure you wander west along the beach and visit the turtle conservation group and snorkle the bio rock coral regeneration area. We definately reccommend a trip out to Menjangan Island the snorkelling was wonderful and visibility was fantastic! Only con for us was the location of the Spa...right next to the main road..the massage was great but the noise was laughable...rumbling trucks and buses ..perhaps 3 in the afternoon was not a good time??

Comfortable syay”

Man's Homestay is a nice place to stay, but they do have some cons... There are a lot of mosquitos and they have tried everything to get rid of them, but they still there. Not all rooms have air-con, so make sure to book a room with air-con as it is hot and there is no swimming pool. The main pros include the owners warm hospitality and willingness to assist with any request.

Silence and relax”

Gorgeous garden as a scenery for a relaxing few days. Swimming pool cool and tranquil, great staff at the bar no noise despite the mosque nearby. The room was very clean, breakfast abundant and the SPA lovely. It is a real pity that this gem does not have a direct access to the beach. We did not dive with them.

Great hotel for the price, but forget the food”

This hotel is a pretty good value for the money. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff is very friendly although some struggled to understand English. On the downside the room had no hot water (not a serious issues for us) and the restaurant could greatly be improved: the portions were small, but very well prepared; the prices were slightly more expensive than surrounding restaurants; and the breakfast portions were also quite small (good variety of fruits and fruit juices, but unless you ate eggs everyday you would end up with only 2 toasts - and charged quite a bit for extra ones). Laundry was also quite expensive when compared to local prices. Overall we highly recommend this hotel as long as you keep it for sleeping: all other additional services will cost you more than in surrounding shops.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely cottages”

Really lovely little cottages with 4 poster beds and an outdoor bathroom and shower. Only downside was the ants because of the outdoor bathroom. Breakfast served to your private verandah was really nice and the staff were great.

Exceptional”

I love this hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times over the years and the quality has remained high. Rooms are clean and large with good bedding and some with jungle showers. Gardens are well maintained and the pool is very nice. The food here is fantastic. The breakfast included is generous and the restaurant food is delicious. Great place to base out of when snorkelling or diving.

Relatively neutral experience”

In general, our experience was relatively neutral. Pros: - Quiet room far from the very loud main road. - Generally very nice attitude of the staff - Transportation services and some interesting activity tours - Pool - Garden Cons: - A staff member behaved very intrusively – e.g. by joining us to Denpasar without asking our consent as we were the paying customer. - The in-house dive operator was not found at padi.com despite the registration claim of a worker of the operator - The wifi was difficult to use due to frequently requested usernames and passwords. Three consecutive sets of login information for each of our four devices were needed over 10 nights: altogether 12 sets. The connection barely reached the room. Clue: spot the wifi base station at the pool bar. - Cats peeing on pool chairs (neighbors' cats?). This said, the staff washed the chairs next morning.

Only disadvantage is that the hotel is not by the sea but it is not too far to walk to the nice beach at Biorock.

NOT A GREAT PLACE....”

Only issue we had during our trip there was that our reservation was given away prior to our arrival, we were only able to stay in the accommodation that we were to have for two of the four nights we were at this location. Upon moving to the other room for final night stay we were not at all informed as to have our stuff already packed and ready to be moved. The staff went into our room while we were gone all day for diving, and proceeded to pack our personal belongings and move them to our last nights room. upon returning from a long and hot day of diving we were very pissed to see that our personal belongings had been touched/moved to a new room, not to mention that our dirty clothes were put with our clean items! This is no way to handle customers changing room situations. Staff should have let the new arrivals know that the room wouldn't be ready till after the previous occupants had moved their things, not to have been done by the staff AT ALL!!! WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!!

sweet family. clean rooms, close to beach”

The family took such great care of us. The room was clean and tasteful. New lamps and furnishing. We stayed in the villa had a nice front yard for my son to run in.

A real paradise”

Herman and Mia have fantastic bungalows. Every morning they serve you breakfast at your own patio. They organised for me an unforgettable diving trip to the Menjangan island. Only shortcoming is the fact that there was no wifi. You can use the computer of Mia, but it is very slow.

ok stay. Dark rooms but was clean and tidy except when we were over run with ants ( we couldnt even see the floor). After telling the staff they came and sprayed and cleaned the room for us.
