I stay at APA Kyoto Ekimae whenever I go to Kyoto. The hotel offers everything you need. The room is relatively small, which is completely normal in Japan, yet it’s so well-equipped. The best thing about this hotel is - Location. It’s super close to Kyoto station (7min walking) and the nearest bus station is only 3min walking away.

The room is spacious compared to most city hotels. I could open my luggage on the floor and walk around it with no problems. Air conditioner was standalone. I could turn on cool air even in winter. TV is on the feet side of the bed and huge. I watched the World Cup 2022 while sitting in bed. Very good experience.

It’s locate near JR kyoto Station and tokyo tower also shopping center walk about 5 mins. Easy to find some food and travel, the staff was very nice you can leave your baggage and travel between the day and get it back in the evening.👍

The hotel is in a great location. The bathroom designer made some strange choices. I’m 1.77 and it’s physically impossible to stand under the shower. Due to something in the ceiling it’s impossible for me to stand up in the shower. Thus the shower fixture is about 1.60 (about - I never measured) from the bath. For a purpose built building this was an odd choice. Stay for the location.
