Where to stay in Amed
Amed hotels & accommodations

From where the private pool, you can see the sea, the hills and immediately when the bellboy left us we jumped into the pool which is perfectly sun kissed the temperature is perfect. Bose sound systems in the living room providing very tasteful balinese modern tunes all provided by the hotel. Absolutely the best place to be in Amed and its well worth the price.

My wife and I stayed for a week with our 18-month-old daughter. It was my third time visiting Amed. We loved the resort, the pool, the restaurant, and the staff. There is incredible snorkeling right out the back door...just walk into the water, and WOW! The staff was great with our daughter and we felt comfortable having them babysit while we went snorkeling. We a...

we got her by hazard as our reserved hotel couldn't provide our room. must admit: lucky us! Villa Sky Dancers paid out to be the best place in Amed as its a new built private villa with actually only three rooms the whole facility is very well managed and maintained in a top status, spotlessly clean! we enjoyed a very warm and friendly service by the owner himself a...

After 35 trips to Bali and having run Hotels for 15 years in my career, I think I am well qualified to give a review that others should take note of....the Bali Bhuana Beach Hotel is a nice Hotel with good amenities (for Bali) in the Lovely diving town of Amed. The Pool (beachfront), whilst small was refreshing and well planned, with sun lounges and a Bule nearby for t...

Pros- the landscaping and pool area is beautiful. The beach is nice. The breakfast is hearty and quite good. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfy. Cons - right across from a party hotel, if you stay in room 1 it's all you can hear. If you stay in one of the rooms more central in the resort it should be fine. Room 1 had a terrible...

There are few luxury, spacious and well equipped villas with private swimming pool. Apart of that you have common big panorama swimming pool, gourmet restaurant, spa and more. Our few days stay was perfect (March 2017). There were some noises caused by next villa construction works but it was not very annoying. Lack of TV set in the villas may be problematic for some ...

We traveled to Amed from Tulamben. We were pleasantly surprised by the area and resort. Its a ways up the coast of Amed away from the more populated and crowded areas of Amed but that was part of the charm for us. Resort was beautiful, room was spacious, so was the bathroom and the exterior had a beautiful setup including tables and chairs and a huge bed to lounge a...

It was my first time go to Amed and I am so so lucky booked Bedulu Resort. With a price of "two star" hotel, I booked the superior room and I got a "five star" private villa uphill just behind the infinity pool. The view from the pool is so beautiful. I even didnt go anywhere in Amed, just stayed at Bedulu to enjoy the scenery. You can see both sunrise and sunset from...

It was our first time, visiting Amed. We booked the beach front villa at Tradisi. It was a great choice. Looking straight out over the water from our room, watching the fishing boats come and go. Very quiet and peaceful. Great spot to view the sunset behind Mt Agung and also the sunrise across the water. The staff were all lovely. Kare also gave my husband some cold fr...

Fine hotel in Amed, nice located and very friendly staff! Unfortunately our room was not very clean since we are very clean and tidy people. The room didn’t look exactly like on the picture nontheless it was an okay and good stay, the wifi worls perfectly and the breakfast was very goody!

We booked 2 rooms for 10 nights but stayed for 7, Iv got a disability so spend a lot of time in my room, having no TV to fill some of the hours I got really board, my husband and granddaughter were fine ... the rooms are fairly large with white tiled floors, they were built about 3 years ago and there are another 2 being built now, the rooms are made from recycled tim...

Apa Kabar is a little corner of paradise. Tucked away between the ocean and lush tropical mountains, away from the hussle and bustle, you come to Amed for the relaxation and to Apa Kabar for the tranquil surroundings, the beautiful settings and super friendly staff. The two bedroom villa was perfect for us as we travel with a 2 and 6 year old. It comes with balinese-st...

I came to Amed to do my PADI Open Water course and booked to stay at the Bila hotel. Initially I wanted to do the course at one the big dive schools in the area as I had not realized that Bila also offers it. But after meeting the very friendly owner Oliver and realizing that he would be my private dive instructor as there were no other students, I chose to do the cour...

I used this location as enough out of town and quite ,not so many guests in the complex and its a family business, whom i became friends with the niece of the Owner and engineer of building , so sound construction. Was there during many of the Lombok aftershock and earthquakes, which is directly across from Amed They were very kind , caring , concerned for their guest...

We loved all in Kelapa Cottage. The place was new, well kept, classy, built and managed with good taste. Breakfast was good and we ate 3 times at the restaurant - simply supertasty. Everything was so good except the location was little off for small kids, if you like to swim and need a nice beach for the kids for example, but we rented scooters from the hotel and it wo...

Amed is a town but it's also used to describe the area. This hotel/dive centre/restaurant attached is in Jemeluk and it's the exact spot all other dive companies come to dive the main Amed dive sites. Great beach in a bay with good snorkeling as well as superb diving. Coma was our DM and as a local he showed us great stuff. we had a room with a great view of the bay. b...

You can walk easily to an amazing Itailan place (try the tenderloin beef) and the shipwreck snorkelling beach. Nice breakfast and local staff (one lives behind the villas, which is good as othereise you're on your own). Downside: air con not as effective as some (although big fan provided too, so I was ok even though I like it as cool as poss). Plus they need to fix th...

no need to think twice. By far the nicest place in the area. quiet and clean. staff cleans rooms diligently. Breakfast included with the room is sublime. Hosts and staff showed great hospitality and its all honest and sincere. cheap bike rental delivered quick and i will also say competitive price for airport transfers as well. One drawback for my stay was the a/c for ...

We stayed two nights at Villa Mangga Beach and loved it all, the facilities are wonderful with big, airy rooms and a great terrace to relax on. THe common kitchen area is an added bonus. Located right on the beach too. Breakfast was good (try the mie goreng). Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back here again.

This is the kind of places that you will definitly want to share as a fantastic spot! If you want to visit more than touristic areas we highly recommend to choose Asri Buckit Lodge. Everything is a good surprise there: the house, the garden, the swiming pool area, bedrooms are much better than in pictures... but this is just the begining of what they have to offer. Th...

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this resort! The staff were super helpful! Pros- 2 deep and beautifully landscaped pools surrounded by lush gardens. Cozy lounge, reading and group eating areas. Well planned layout of rooms and facilities offering privacy. Perfect location to all snorkeling and eating spots. Small hotel with only 16 cottages, each designed thoughtfully with Balinese architecture complimenting contemporary comforts. Gardens are beautifully maintained and the swimming pool is jus amazing; surrounded by lovely frangipani trees that offer shade during sunny mornings/afternoons. Snorkeling is fantastic right on the beach; it is so accessible that our 6 year old...

loved this place. the staff are like one big family and make you feel like you are at home, but a home that has direct access to the beach and food that is cheap and delicious. thanks for making my Christmas. be back when i have the chance. bintang divers is also at Pakels. so an easy stroll to kit up and go diving with the best dive outfit in amed

If your in Amed and on a budget... even if your not... this place is perfect. I'd have to be picky to find fault here... but honestly... I can't The food, the bed,air con, pool and above all the staff were just fantastic. They even let me use some of their superglue to fix my knackered flip flops... good peoples! Come stay and have a 20k Arak and coke for me
Cheap places to stay in Amed

Mostly divers who stay here. But plenty of travelers as well. The location is not exactly in Amed center but it's easy to get nowhere around either with bike or motorbike. The mattress in the dorm need to be updated. Need an AC as well as it was too hot. And a fan is just not enough.

I chose the budget room and it's exactly that, small room, shower and toilet in a tiny bathroom, sink is in outside hallway as it won't fit in room. Stunning view from room of the sea and amazing sun rise if your awake. Location is far away from everything.. I got a shared transfer from ubud. Driver stooped at amed took bags out and left.. couldn't find a taxi Whic...

The room is very good with a very nice balcony and a shower in the outside.the place is perfect.its not so far to the best snorkling beaches.the owner is a very nice and relaxed Person.Jimbo Thank you very much for this nice stay and the balinese food. when we come to bali again we come back to your homestay.thanks

I extend my stay after arriving at Bumbung Bungalows. Komang and his family are lovely people who really look after you and help you with whatever you may need! The bungalow is basic with fan and cold water shower but that's all I need when on a diving holiday. Great value for money, clean and safe since it's away from the main road and very quiet at night. Directly lo...

I am so happy I chose Enak! The staff and owners were so lovely and helpful- had some great conversations! The rooms are spacious and clean- and outside (covered) bathroom is great! Their restaurant (Warung) is good too! Thank you all- hope to see you again soon!

We booked because of the Price and previous Reviews. At first we thought it's not that Special, but the two local ladies there where so helpful and showed us where we can go diving and carried our heavy luggage up the stairs on the hill to our room! The room was amazing and we had a half view to the sea! After the first night we had to Change to a Bungalow on lower Lev...

When we arrived there around 5pm there were no staff on site, so we had to wait over an hour for someone to turn up to check us in. We were extremely lucky as we had booked a budget room but they were all full, so we were upgraded to the best room of the house, overlooking the beach! After a quick show to the room we didn't see any staff again, so had to ask guest...

Family owned little place. The location was great for my purposes but definitely a 10-15min wall from Amed center. Loved being a little further away surrounded by fields with a beautiful view of the mountains. The owners are super kind, super caring and really go out of their way to accommodate you. They drove me to my next hotel for free which was super kind of the...

The owner, Pagi was very kind and helpful. Upon hearing that I suffered lingering ear pain after one of my dives, he immediate called his dive master friend to seek advise. He then call the hospital in nearby city to set up an appointment with ENT specialist to see me. Pagi and his wife also paid attention to detail; offered hot water when he saw us bringing packed cof...

Very nice stay directly by the beach. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the main area in Amed but that’s ok! The staff is super helpful and friendly. Never seen such a clean hotel room! Thanks a lot for this experience ;) always again if we are coming to Amed.

I cannot gush about this more!! Yes, there are a few steps up, but when I checked in, he helped carry my heavy bag up to.... one of the top rooms! For the price I paid, I stood at the door with my mouth agape. Amazing- I watched the sunrise every morning. For a few dollars more, there is also a/c. Otherwise, the room was large, clean and beautiful. It even had a mosqui...

I highly recommend this homestay if visiting the Amed area. Our room was amazing. We booked the two double bed room, not expecting much, and we're blown away when we were shown to our room. It was beautiful with a lovely, large patio, beautiful plants, views of the ocean, gardens, etc., and the best...an observation deck set up even higher than the rest of the room ...

We really enjoy our stay here and the sari warung near the homestay is perfect to eat good and cheap! The staff is smilling and always ready to help! Just go and enjoy your stay there 😉

Great place to stay in Amed. Bungalows are really clean, service in the restaurant is good as is the breakfast. Garden outside the bungalows is beautiful and really well maintained. Meters from the water, Kadek home stay provide you with a simple room & shower/toilet, a great terrace area and access to some sun beds. You have shade from a beautiful little garden & an outside shower to rinse the (black) sand off. There are some nice restaurants around and a little sho...

I can't recommend Sonys Homestay enough! Sony is so helpful and such a nice guy. He helped organise our climb up mt Agung which was incredible. The homestay is great value for money, with a delicious breakfast served on the beach and an amazing view from the roof terrace. Amed is an incredible beautiful place, amazing views, lovely beaches!

The price was right on Agoda - about 10 USD cheaper than other similar places in Amed (we drove around a lot looking at different places before booking). The room had a great view of the Bali Sea and the pool was nice. There are 8 different rooms, some with views, some not, so look before you book. The deluxe is just bigger, not really better than the standard, so we b...

Life in Amed Boutique hotel could not have been more perfect! The staff is amazing, the owner was so responsive and helpful via email even before we arrived, and the food was delicious, and yoga onsite, The grounds are beautiful too and it couldn’t have been a more perfect retreat.

This has been one of the best experience in entire Bali and most of the credit goes to Kadek and his family. The place is very well kept, Kadek himself oversees to it. We got a great deal from agoda and decided to head to Amed from Lombok in the end of our trip. This hotel was absolutely stunning, we had our own villa that was beautiful in every way. I totally regret only having one night at the beautiful Ashling Villa, but that night was magical. Well located, in front of a stone beach good for snorkelling, 5mn ride from Amed beach/harbour (amazing snorkelling there with underwater temple and corals) and 15mn from the japanese shipwreck. The hotel staff is great, breakfast delivered to your ville which is beautifully decorated

The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the villa! Upon my arrival, the staff gave me a warm greeting followed by a welcome drink.
