Strategic location”
The main reason I usually come back to this hotel is only the location, as it's near my favourite "Bakmie UP" stall and Pasar Turi train station. Also near Bu Rudi Restaurant. The room was quite clean and they provide free drinking water. However, I think they may need a refurbishment for the beds in the near time. Breakfast spread (before the pandemic) was ok with great taste.

there's so much more better hote than this, i stayed for 3nights, got twin bed and both of the bed sheets have blood stain and they didn't change the sheets and towels until the last day 'cos we messed the bed and put the towels on the floor in hope they'll change it, but got dingy towel with frayed edges instead and everything smell damp. No shower gel n shampoo, breakfast menu is limited, the card got reset everyday so i have to go back down everytime, i don't know the good thing to write about this hotel as this is a bugdet hotel, but got the expensive rate with the worst facilities.

Terrible bathroom”
Room: A lot of mould can be seen in the bathroom wall, yellow stains on the bathroom floor, and many black dots on the shower curtain. Shower head was full of white residue which makes it extremely disgusting. A small cockroach was seen jogging on the room desk, and made my day unpleasant. Dining place : The plate and cups are not clean as stains are obvious on the surface. Food is okay overall, because a living mosquito dined on the cake too. The staff did not organize and arranged food well on the table. Good side: Staffs are helpful (although I did not receive one of the requested stuff). I enjoy talking to them.

Value hotel in good location”
I stay 3 nights for join congress event at JW Marriott hotel. Amaris hotel is just 5 minutes walk to Marriott.. A value hotel with friendly staff. Check in process was so easy.. Around hotel there’s alot of famous culinary store like Rawon setan (across the hotel for 7 minutes walk to the right) , soto ayam cak Pardi (12 minutes walk to the right, across the hotel). We can also walking (without crossing the road) to Tunjungan Plaza. (approx 17 minutes walking)... In the left side, there’s so many victualler like “delicious lunpia Semarang”, tahu petis (tofu with special paste ... I’ll be stay @ Amaris Embong Malang again ...

Just about the perfect location”
The hotel was centrally located in Jl Embong Malang, and was just 10 minutes walk to Tunjungan Plaza (TP), a major shopping hub in the city. You can walk from the hotel to TP in a wide, pedestrian-friendly sidewalk. The hotel was located at left in the junction of Jl Embong Malang & Jl Kedungdoro with exit on Jl Kedungdoro only, so you will need to make U-turn in Jl Kedungdoro should you want to go to Jl Blauran / Jl Tunjungan in a car or taxi. Jl Kedungdoro itself is very well known as a place for its night street food market, so you won't find any difficulties finding your dinner. It was also only about 200 meter from the legendary Rawon Setan, but you need to cross the road to get there (which is a bit difficult considering the heavy traffic on Jl Embong Malang). The hotel directly face Hotel 88. There is a Circle K & an Alfamart (or is it Indomrt ?) store nearby, so no need to worry about little knick knacks. I notice that there is always one or two Orenz taxi standing by in the hotel premise, so transport arrangement should be no issue also. The room was in perfect condition, just as expected on Amaris properties elsewhere. One little issue is in the number of parking space available, which is very limited.

i have a meeting in surabaya and need to stay in the cetral of the city to easy going everywhere. and this hotel is match with my requirement. located in embong malang street, and easy to reach our meeting venue. and very good news for all guest in this hotel, they have 24 hours (taxi) transport available. this hotel has contract agreement with "orenz" taxi , so you don't need to worry to going some.where

Good quality hotel at affordable price”
It's a small hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very near to local delicacies such as Rawon Setan (across Embong Malang road), a very good Chinese seafood restaurant, and small tent cafes along Kedungdoro street. A minimart is very near in case you need additional snacks, toothpaste, soft drinks, mineral water, or simple medicines. The price includes buffet breakfast and wi-fi internet in the room without limitation. The only thing about the internet is that it asks you to re-login if you happen to let your computer idle for some time. The lobby is very small so you can't really meet and chat with people in the lobby, it's just for waiting for someone to go somewhere else. One day the hotel forgot to clean my room so I had to remind them (I stayed for 7 nights). But overall the stay was very comfortable.
