We had a comfortable stay at Amara , big beds, clean and big washrooms. Excellent connectivity to Sentosa attractions and also to mainland. Provides free shuttle to major train/bus stations. Breakfast has enough items , but found the vegetarian fare to be below average. Fruits and other items were good. checking process was smooth though had to wait for 5 hours at reception as we arrived early and no room was available. I do feel the time could have been a bit shorter as cleaning staff took almost 2+ hrs to clean rooms, could have been expedited. Still we used up the time for breakfast and swimming in hotel pool. A la carte menu is great and the preparations are really good. ( we tried vegetarian options only ) . Tried ordering from room service but no one picked the call even after multiple attempts. The property grounds are beautiful with grand trees and lots of foliage and some peahens roaming around , cuckoo bird calls in early morning hours. Sleep quality is good, beds are soft yet firm and there is almost no noise from corridor or adjoining rooms.

Room: Not soundproof. Can hear every single conversation when standing near balcony. Bed wise was okay. No pillow menu. Toilets are generally clean except for some mould on wall and limescale on the water tap and shower head. Hotel was also kind to send a breakfast cake to room! Breakfast: Disappointing. Didnt expect a 5 star hotel to serve canned fruits( i.e. canned peaches, pineapple, logan and lychee). Staff service was okay, some staffs looked very blur and "lost". When asked for cutlery, the staff didnt deliver over, had to ask 1 more time from another staff. Shoutout to the egg station chef, he offerred to peel and cut the apple for my kid even I didnt asked for it. Breakfast area was cramped into a corner of the restaurant. Gets very crowded and honestly dangerous during breakfast. peak. Breakfast spread was not fantastic throughout my stay. Location: Very near palawan beach. Walkable about 6mins. Conceige was kind to offer buggy ride for my pregnant wife and toddler to the beach. Overall, mediocre staycay experience but good service from ground crew and staff.

Clean, spacious room and toilet. Furniture and room is abit worn but overall nice room and comfy bed. Comes with a bathtub and had a nice time soaking in there. Love the amenities provided in the room. Roof top swimming pool has a nice view but small. The dream pool is very serene and relaxing surrounded by trees and you may spot the peacock roaming around. The kids pool right next to it looks fun too. They also gave me a complimentary mousse cake as I was doing a birthday staycation. That was very nice of them! There is shuttle bus to and fro the hotel so it's convenient to get to the hotel. Otherwise, it's a short walk to the busstop along the main road or Imbiah monorail train stop. It's also a short walk to the palawan beach so it's nice to walk around. Breakfast buffet was nice and filling. Great variety to choose from: continental breakfast, eggs, pancakes, sauages, bacon, broccoli, salad, porridge, noodles, cereals, yoghurt, fruits. Overall, a great stay and hope to stay longer next time!

“Relaxing getaway”
Here is my review of our 4D3N stay at Amara sanctuary 1. room - decor is very dated, but clean, water pressure is good and come with the basic necessities. A tv that doesnt have any good channels and mostly doesnt work, so i watched tiktok throughout my stay. The cushion for the arm chair is very used, no support at all. But in general, the room is clean and the bed is firm & comfortable. Sound proofing is extremely bad coz im constantly woken up by people talking at the corridor coz there are just some people that dont know how to be more considerate. Was told that i had the sea view room but all i could see out my window are coconut trees. Every morning, there is also a rooster that never fails to wake u up regardless of what time u sleep. There is a snack area where kitkat & oreo are replenish daily, likewise for the drinking water. 2. Breakfast - very standard n minimal international breakfast. The kuehs are yummy. However, on the last day of my breakfast, i realised the crab stick that i took from the noodle section still has the plastic film/wrapper on and i actually cook that with my noodles without realising, so the kitchen team might wanna do a double check on that. Other than that, service from the staff are always friendly and prompt. 3. Restaurant - there is an on site restaurant and we had 2 of our dinnners there. Food is great and the service rendered by jennifier is impeccable. 4. Facilities - a gym and 2 swimming pools. We din check out the gym but the pools were kinda disappointing. The dream pool is for kids so it was rather small. The skypool is also small and not sure if it was due to the rain, the water was murky and doesnt look inviting at all. So we din use the pool during our stay. Overall the stay is relaxing and enjoyable. However, there was a little hiccup while checking-in as our reserved rooms [3 rooms, 2 connected rooms with twin beds] werent available even though we were promised that these will be available back when we booked. we specifically requested for twin beds coz our group required that. But, we were given 3 rooms with king sized beds instead. Special thanks to shaz from front desk to do a complimentary upgrade so that we can have 1 room with separate beds. Also, special shoutout to the staff uncle liu that drove us to and back from the ultra golf on the buggy, apparently he is the only one licensed to drive out of the hotel area. And the rest of the staff at the hotel, they are all very welcoming and helpful.
