Nice spot, clean and functional room, good staff

I was suprising satisfied with the great position and ease of getting around Melbourne from this good location.
Staff were friendly and had a good knowledge of the sites to see around town.

High scores on all fronts
Location right on Southbank, and just across the bridge from Fed Square and Flinders; spacious rooms, excellent service

We had a great 3 night stay.
2 points straight off the bat : they upgraded us from a studio unit to deluxe on arrival, and had the room ready for us at 11 am, way ahead of their 3 pm check in time. A double bonus since we had our 4 year old travelling with us, who was tired from being up at dawn to catch a flight.
Location was fabulous -- right on the Southbank promenade with two bridges immediately adjacent. The first to Fed Square, the other directly to Flinders Station and the trams.
The unit was beautifully appointed, with coffee and tea making facilities and a nice fridge. And it came complete not just with crockery and cutlery, but also lined bins, fresh tea towels and dishwash soap. TV's in both the living and bedroom so we could watch what we wanted while our son had his share of cartoons. A nice little balcony overlooking the square with spectacular views of the the Eureka.
Bathhroom was spacious with both a shower and a bath, and three sets of towels, so we didn't have to ask for extras.
There was a great food court right next door, with not a single fast food joint in sight, so our son had some excellent meal options on hand through the day. And lots of little restaurants and wine bars all down the stretch.
We took a riverboat tour from the pier just in front of the hotel, which was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. And spent one afternoon walking down the riverbank to the Alexandra Gardens and the Royal Botanical Gardens, and another across the bridge to the Binnarung Marr park, which had a lovely playground for kids.
Staff were friendly but discreet and very thoughtful, offering us newspapers and Melbourne maps upon arrival. Some friends came by to visit, and the staff were kind enough to arrange parking (for free) right in front of the hotel so they could come up to the unit for a short visit.
Only drawback was nightly parking charge for our rental -- a whopping AUS 30 per night!

Tip Tarikan Perhatian/Pemandangan:
If you're travelling with kids the parks nearby are wonderful to let off steam, and the food court next to the hotel has some great options for kids meals which aren't fast food!

Hard to Fault
Large suites , great location.

Could not fault this accomodation.
Service was faultless , suite was large , clean and had everything expected.
Location was perfect for my requirements.
Tip Restauran:
Just wander along southbank about 20 meters from the Hotel and take your pick of all thr restaurants on offer.

Wonderful stay, great location for both sides of the river. Just across the bridge from Flinders station and Federation Square /Melbourne visitors center. On free visitor shuttle route, adjacent to arts center, Southgate Harbour shops, restaurants, eateries, and just alittle further walk to the casino. Staff was friendly and helpful, free wifi would have made this the perfect stay.

great location and great staff

Very friendly informative staff
We stayed 5 nights while one of us was at a conference.
Great to have facilities for a quick breakfast before the pleasant stroll along the Yarra to the Conference centre for me and a light lunch in the room for my wife who hates dining alone in restaurants or cafes (which abound on Southbank )
The location near St Kilda Rd is very convenient for tram travel and there is a first floor stair free access to SouthBank shops and St Kilda Road, very useful if you have bad knees
Tip Restauran:
Pure South just a few yards away is great for nibbles and a drink in the melbourne sunny evenings ( we were lucky with the weather ) or for delicious meals

Nice rooms and great location

We are locals but wanted to stay in town for a weekend getaway. The location is perfect with great access to Southbank and the City.
All of the staff we encountered were just delightful. Friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.
Value for money at this hotel and we would stay again.
Tip Restauran:
Spice Temple at Crown was excellent. Many fabulous restaurants to choose from as you wander down through Southbank. Give the cafe on the Yarra (under the bridge) a go for breakfast.

Lots of room in an excellent location

The one bedroom apartment was very roomy for a 5 day work trip to Melbourne. Having a kitchen meant that breakfast was easy on work days with early starts. However the location right next to the numerous restaurants at Southbank meant that there was plenty to choose from in the evening.
The bed was comfortable and the furnishings quite modern. Staff were all pleasant and well trained.
The only negative was that the shower (which had excellent water pressure) was the most sensitive shower I have ever encountered. One millimeter in either direction on the temperature lever meant you got either ice cold water or you risked being burnt.

lovely hotel with great location
price is reasonable the location is good staff are helpful the room is big

I required a river view room but the staff said that is not available for bookings through agent. but besides this, everything in the hotel looks fine, the staff the pools the gym and the rooms are nice. it is close to lots of restaurants. the walking to the casino and business district might be a bit long but still acceptable.
