Emanuel C. Berpasangan Romania, 29 Maret 2013	Excellent hotel. And it's right on the beach. Big room, big bathroom, comfortable bed 8 We were told the building we stayed in is a new one. The room was on the ground floor, had a little porch with a table and two chairs, all shielded from the main alley by some palm tree, very nice. The room was big, the bathroom was big, the bed big and comfortable and the alley led right on the beach. The swimming pool was also very nice, extra clean and warm. Air condition, tv and internet worked fine. The breakfast in the morning can be a little unusual as you have to ask for what you want with no menu and no buffet. Only the juice and fruits are displayed on a table. This was a very pleasant 3 nights holiday.

Berpasangan Australia, 15 Februari 2013	Good Hotel in a central location Beachside Villas are pleasant 6 the room it self was ok but for some reason i had to ask to get a kettle with tea and coffee placed in the room. everywhere else it came as standard. the breakfast is a bit disorganised with the person taking the order having limited english so, out of 3 breakfasts, i only got 1 that i actually ordered.

Berpasangan United Kingdom, 02 Januari 2013	Friendly and helpful staff with basic clean rooms Lovely gardens in quiet location. 6,7 at low tide the beach was great but at high tide it can almost disappear. rooms kept very clean. staff were very helpful. breakfast varied but improved day by day. it is a 20 minute walk to the centre of lamai where there are numerous restaurants and bars. Tip Restauran: Star Bar is just a long the beach and the food is good and staff very friendly.

The pool and beach front is the highlight, providing a great setting for relaxation. Keluarga dengan anak kecil United Kingdom, 02 Oktober 2012	A hidden jewel Friendly, peaceful, yet not far from the action (if you want it) 9,7 I arrived mid afternoon and they were waiting for me. After a hassle free check in by a very friendly lady I was taken to my Villa. My first impression was how nicely it was hidden by foliage and secondly how big it was. It was a lovely room, huge bed, TV etc. On waking in the morning before breakfast service had started I was disappointed that there were no Tea/Coffee making facilities as to be able to sit on the large patio with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning would have been great. It took a couple of days to get used to the open air bathroom, it was just the bath area exposed, but after this I was fine. The pool area was bigger than I was expecting from the photos. It was clean, clear and on the beach with good views. It was very relaxing and peaceful. I only had breakfasts at the hotel but these were good. Especially the plate of fruit served and the coffee. This hotel is good for people wanting a peaceful break. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of Lamai, or if you don't want to do that there are plenty of bars and eateries along the road 5 or 10 minutes away. If you don't fancy using the road it is just as quick and easy walking along the beach and nicer. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the The Grand Manita. It is a hidden jewel on Lamai beach. Tip Shopping: Take cash or traveller's cheques. The cost of using a debit/credit card is 150baht (just over £3)at the ATM. Add this on to the Visa charge and then your bank currency conversion charge it ends up being expensive, especially if you withdraw £100 or less. The exchange rate maybe better, but not much better compared to the banks exchange rates in Thailand for cash or cheques. I used my debit card and to withdraw £100.00 it cost around £8.00, which is silly money.
